Most of us with muscle cars often put a lot of money into mods and other aftermarket stuff and by the time we trade, even $10k over what we owe, we’re lucky to break even. It’s easy to say that we’re getting $10k more than we owe but tint windows, sets of tires, exhaust, catch cans, etc all add up. So while we may get more for our car don’t forget to subtract all the aftermarket and mods that we’ve spent money on. Factor it all in for a real assessment.

I have seen a lot of people selling their hellcats. And I know the market are really good now to sell them. I think if somebody offer you the right price for it you should get sell it. But I rather keep because as you know Hellcat are going away. And who knows down the road how much your car will be worth. They only make 501. I think it’s all up to you. And if you do decide to sell it I’m looking forward to see what you getting next.

That Daytona is awesome, i understand the feeling of selling. But man, those caused such a craze for introduction of Widebody on Charger Platform. My Widebody Scatpack is hard for me to let go, but I’m in need of truck. If that weren’t the case, I’d definitely keep my car
Owning a hellcat is not that expensive if you do it right. I did 30k down on mine, I pay $580 a month for it. My insurance is $180 full coverage with geico, but I check all the good boxes to have cheap insurance prices. Over 30, married, no accidents etc. I drive my hellcat about 3 days out of the week on average so I probably spend $50 a week on gas. Everyone is different but it definitely can be doable. I went from driving a diesel truck to the hellcat so gas seems fine to me. In my opinion if you can’t do a big number down and your stuck with a payment over $1000 you probably can’t afford to own a hellcat, just drive a cheap car and save until you can truly afford to own this car. It takes time, people rush and buy things they can’t afford. I hope you figure it out and do what is best for your situation, there are tons of hellcats around, maybe sell your Daytona and get a 2015-16 challenger, they run so much cheaper than chargers specially like the one you have.

Tbh, I'd just try and drive it a bit different. Although I don't live in California, my gas in my hellcat I just bought works out to around $90 a week for gas. I'd double it for cali and times 4 to estimate cali costs and it's about $720 with me driving 1k miles a month. Since you have a daily gas really shouldn't be much an issue. In terms of making money on the car, you can definitely make money on the car but thinking about it logically I'm not sure if hellcats would get much cheaper than they are now and likely would only increase from next year onward due to this discontinuation of the hellcat from next year on. I do think it may drop $4k-$6k from this year to next but afterwards I think it's probably just going to steadily climb. I mean, I just bought my 2016 for $52k with 27k miles and I could've actually made money immediately after buying it but I honestly think the joy of driving it outweighs any sort of sale incentive.

It’s a great car for content of course but beyond that the car is a luxury so their isn’t much to it unless you like do all the crazy mods to take it to a track or something. But idk these something’s I’d think of and just some questions to think of on your end maybe to help justify the decision. Just sounds like a shitwhole over there. Save money on gas in other states and living expenses. Sold my 392 to CarMax and ended up paying off my loan plus giving me some cash back. Ended up buying a brand new Tesla. Although I miss the sound of the 392, it was the best decision for me.
