FINALLY!!! As a fellow '16 Charger Hellcat owner, it's great to finally see one on your channel. If you're diggin the info pages on the binnacle, then you need to dive into the SRT pages on the dash Uconnect screen. FYI - you have an 18 gallon tank. The fuel mileage on the display is based upon the last tank base line. When you drive it, it will reset. ECO is worthless - you will get just as good in STREET or SPORT mode. You sb getting around 24-26mpg on the highway. I've gotten as high as 29mpg on the back roads of Texas in 110f heat, but it was painful to drive that way, lol! Your exhaust is limited to 99db when you're parked/reving it. It won't open up unless you're under load driving. It has active exhaust. PCM will automatically adjust the engine for lower fuel grades, so no big deal. Anyway, enjoy the car & can't wait to see what you do to it.

I have a 21 Durango SRT (non hellcat) and the one thing I wish they did to the Challenger/Charger in later years was update uconnect in those cars to the 21+ head unit. The 2015 version they have is super slow to load and it would be awesome if they had a next gen version that you could swap in, but I'm sure the Durango version won't work/fit.

Having to check 18 tires during a pretrip inspection, we truckers use a small bat or rubber mallet to "thump" the tires. If the tire makes a dull thud, the pressure then gets checked. If it bounces off the tire, the thumper worked and it can be stored by the drivers door for future use, right next to the flashlight and pressure gauge.

Yes! So cool to finally see a big Mopar on the channel! From a 392 Scat Pack owner, welcome to the family!
That Hellcat does look and sound stock to me. The OEM exhaust is not much different from a stock Scat Pack, so as you said, not much incentive to modify the exhaust at all. Sounds great as is!
A couple of tips if I may:
*Swap the belts for the green belts asap. The OEM ones aren't bad per se, but the green ones are a big improvement all the same
*Check the SRT performance pages in the infotainment screen. you'll be able to see recorded lap times, trap times, max G-forces, etc. Gives a bit of an indication of how much the car was beat on
*Definitely check/change the diff fluid, see if you can inspect it for excess wear
*I'd highly recommend an oil catch can for later installation. Helps keep oil vapor from getting sucked back into the intake

@pricetagcitrus the black belts suck. Flat out. They wear out very quickly and they are prone to slippage from stretching (due to heat) or premature wear. The green belts are better overall and rated for higher HP use and see way less issues as far as slippage or stretching. If and where possible, as I've done with mine every single belt on my charger was swapped over from the black to green.

Was the switch a track setup for the fan ? Also check for a larger thermostat not programmed in common on these for mods

That was the best ending to a video yet. Seeing the great officer with his great dog. Showing us how they work. I think it was awesome for those two to come out and help you. That was just really cool. And I’m glad the Charger was clean.

I don’t know if you fixed your fan problem just yet but I have a tazer for my Durango and it allows me to override the fan and I think I read up before you can control that in the new version of the Uconnect system the center display.

Don’t waist your time with those Fanttik air pumps. I bought one after seeing it used in another LSC video and it developed a charging issue after a few uses. I’ve been dealing with Fanttik for about 3 months going back and forth for something that is still under warranty. Sent them all requested documentation and the issue is still not resolved. Their customer service is terrible.

Yeah these guys will push anything for a buck it seems. I've heard a lot of bad things about their products as well and decided not to order one. Looked like a decent product and trust Alex but it doesn't seem to be

The only product I've ever purchased that was being promoted in UA-cam was the Clyde's leather colouring balm and it was terrible it didn't really work the colour match was terrible and after some back forth with their customer service they basically came back and said sorry not sorry so after that I thought I'm never buying any promoted product ever again

28 mpg is crazy for a hellcat but for a modern muscle car makes sense. They are amazing on the highway. My 05 mustang gt got 28 mpg when driving from LA to Sacramento.

Im not from the US so i dont know those roads but it could be that he was driving slightly downhill from salt lake to chicago most of the time. That would definately help the mpg.

@@kamahlrg Salt lake city is at a higher altitude than Chicago so that is a possibility, but I bet only the first 1/4 of the drive was downhill, the rest was probably pretty flat.

For the fan running you might also check this. I am not familiar with Dodge motors but my wife’s Tahoe had an issue with the temperature sensor that I think goes into the block and that kicks the fan on and off and hers would run nonstop also.
For the gas tank of the hellcat, it should be 18 gallons and the fuel range of 240 miles or 250 miles is normal because I only get about 260 - 280 in my GT500 and it only has I think 16 gallon tank

THE SWITCH UNDER THE DASH IS TURNING THE FAN ON, they probably did that to get the intake temps down keeping the fan on all the time
