I originally got it for work , but it gets banged up too much so I switched back to my old G-Shock Altimeter, and just wear my new one after hours. I have dress watches but...
DW5600E-1V for the win! It tells time, it's readable, with great electro luminescence display and it has even a timer countdown. The fancy ones are just for fun, but mostly useless. Their design is also silly (a lot of black numbers on black dial and black hands with negative display, making it basically imposible to read in most situations). If there is some "end of the world" situation at some point, then there will be no need for time measuring. I mean you won't have to go to work on time or anything because there would be no jobs. DW5600E-1V will still work if by chance you'll still want to know the time
My first was DW6900, and it's maybe because I had it on my wrist for so long, but I think it's waaaaay better looking than the 6600. I only stopped wearing it when I started at a machine shop and it completely fell apart when exposed to oil and varsol. I am wearing a GBD800 now, and I'm dating a GA700 and a GW9400 RANGEMAN.

The Casio G-Shock is the best bang for the buck watch on the market. I have my 5600 from my Navy days (early 1980's), a 7700, and a 9400. My G-shock of choice is the Rangeman, just fits my needs best. I think it humorous that Jory left out one attribute of the Casio watch brand that most have because he insists the atomic clock is going to be disbanded. But the multiband atomic clock is still a functioning complication that is very useful in the real world.

Wow, I cant believe the Frogmnan is almost $600. I got mine for $400 2 years ago. Nice. I still got an old beat up Riseman that is 9 years old still working.

Nicknacks Nicknacks I never knew they had a vibrating g-shock but it sounds cool and i suppose it may be more capable of having a vibration function since they are vibration resistant, it will kill the battery though
Great selection on this list. I was issued my DW6600 back in 2009 in the military and as of 2020 it is still going STRONG! I LOVE IT! Unfortunately it as been discontinued but it's descendant , the DW6900, is just as great. The DW5600 is awesome too and I consider it the quintessential G-Shock to own. I personally recommend the military versions of those watches, the DW6900MS-1 and the DW5600MS-1.
Hello I need your professional help. I want to buy mudmaster. Not because I need it I just like it. I found two of them. GG-B100-1A3ER ( 465 € ) and GG-B100Y-1AER ( 435 € ). Can you please tell me where is the difference betwen those two? or is any? Thank you very much.
First off I love G-Shocks, but if you have to pick a SHTF watch I would only pick a Mechanical. If some nut detonates a Nuke the EMP would burn out everything but the most armored electrical circuits, any non mechanical watch would be a paperweight.
I grew up during the advent of the G-Shock and recently bought two for sentimental value, but they just lived in my watch box and I noticed that they still have the same old disease of the light colored ones immediately starting to discolor and taint when taken out of the box. Seriously? That's why I started hating them back in the 90's. Still not solved? Give me a fncking break. So I have now given both these watches away, given the fact that I generally hate quartz watches anyways. The only G-Shock I need is one on another person's wrist.
As a high end watch collector, I love the g shock 5445 is one heck of a watch. It won’t win any contests for styling, but it is waterproof to any depth a sane human being would dive to. There is only ONE BIG PROBLEM with the model 5445; and that is changing the time, date, or any number of other things this watch can do. You would imagine for roughly $375.00 this watch would be a simple compilation of time, date, period. No, not this G shock. Every year I sit in front of you tube watching some idiot who is speaking too fast or too slow explain to me, another idiot, how to change the time, date, zone, city of origin, world tower, etc. Guys and gals this is just to much for me. I have made the awful mistake of purchasing one g shock, because most of the Seals wear them. I can’t perform any of the tasks given to the lowliest os Seals, so what to I need the watch they wear. At 77 I’m lucky I’m walking around. I have also made the colossal mistake of buying about11 Citizen, automatic, self setting radio controlled watches which are equally as difficult, maybe more so than the g shock to set. I must admit one out of the 11 citizen watches does change automatically. Or I should say did change automatically. This year it did not. It would be much simpler to go to one of my winding boxes and retrieve Am Omega Sea, whatever that is beautiful to the eye, is a manual self winder and set the time after daylight savings time and enjoy for another year. Ditto, Rolex Daytona, Rolex Datejust, Rolex president, yes I was on a Rolex kick for two years or so. I got my poor son into watches and high end performance vehicles and he now Suffers from the same malaise .. Gents, all I can say is the was a plastic watch that probably cost $3.00 to Make called 41 . The 41 stood for the size of the face. I bought 4 of them at a low cost, let’s say $40.00 each. They were delivered and the were pretty cool. My wife saw them, made a face and said why would you even put that cheap piece of garbage on your wrist. I stashed one, knowing she would forget about it. My daughter has the other 3 and she is happy as a lark. I forgot we were talking about g shocks. The moral of the story is, buy a timer or some simple self winder. You will be much less frustrated at daylight savings time. Sorry for boring you. I’m sure half of you took a nap anyway. Sincerely Butch P Aka The Magic Frog, Don’t ask
I have a GA100CF that I've worn every day for the past 3 years... Love the ruggedness and looks... People still ask me about it... I like the combination of analog and digital displays... One small issue is that the backlight is only good to see the analog time... Can't read any of the digital info... Not a deal breaker for me though... I think it is a good value for about $105.... And the GA100 series has a gazillion color combos...
Since getting a Seiko Fieldmaster, I've been somewhat interested in the older/smaller, square model, but its design looks awkward when adapted to NATO straps and I don't care for the stock straps. Maybe if they come out with a model without the proprietary lugs or when the square steel model comes way down in price I will get one, but, as is, I personally don't care for the look.
Hey dude you forgot the Rangeman gw9400. This is without doubt the best G-Shock watch ever made. Same function as the Mudmaster (end of the world watch), but also sun set/down function, and way lighter, smaller, and in my opinion better looking. Rangeman trumps all of these........
As a Chef, the G Shock is my go to work watch that takes a serious beating and keeps going. Seriously considering the new JDM released GA-2100...especially the GA-2100-1A1JF. As someone who is a really big fan of stick hands vs digital time, I can totally get behind that series of G-Shock.
I got the rangeman great watch bad wrist band ...owned the frogman strap broke and lost it....moral of the story change the watchband as soon as you get it.
I started out with the bigger G-Shock's, but found myself wearing the small G-Shock's. See Jory, you do influence people. Enjoyed the video. Love you buddy.
@@jakegwen2393 I run a MBP and chrome... right click the image and select "Search google for image" don't know if it will work for you but it works for me.
A 200m watch versus a "Divers" 200m... To be qualified as a diver's watch the watch had to pass stricter ISO tests. I see it as, you can get a 100/200m watch that is made for those depths but is only tested for short time exposures to those depths whereas the divers are tested at higher depths and for longer periods to better ensure long term exposure protection. Just my opinion.
I have 3 g-shocks but the one I find being the overall best is GW-2310, got it for a steal price of $40 and having world time, tough solar (not having to worry about batteries) and multi-band 6 (self adjusting time) well for me that is just awesome bang for buck there! Would love a gsteel with carbon bezel someday...is just a little expensive for $600 :/
Excellent Reviews. I need advice, I am seeking following options, DIGITAL & ANALOG, SOLAR TOUGH, ATOMIC TIME SYNCHRONIZATION, PEDOMETER, + more, in 1 G shock. Dial made of black hard carbon or raisins. Thanks
The 5610U might be the best all-rounder. Just the regular slim-profile square is plenty tough for most of us who just sit in front of a computer all day. I had to return the 5600 because I couldn't reliably use the adjust button without a tool.
I agree, that’s why I recently bought one. With the atomic time keeping, solar power, and the fact that it’s the most faithful to the dw5000c in terms of its appearance, in my opinion, it’s the best G Shock money can buy.
I’m looking for something in the $300-900 range that I can wear to work (office) and out to dinner, out when I’m swimming or just hanging out. Beat all around and for it to look good. Anyone got any ideas
Why rangeman is not on the list. Besides being smaller than mudmaster, it's has all the features especially the black panther looks beautiful in full black.

@@russiangopnik9639 yeah. It was on the clearance rack for 50 bucks but range up for 18.50. Awesome watch. Vibe alarm does nothing for waking ne up from sleep but us perfect for everyday timer stuff
Nicknacks Nicknacks I never knew they had a vibrating g-shock but it sounds cool and i suppose it may be more capable of having a vibration function since they are vibration resistant, it will kill the battery though
I got my g shock last year when I turned 11
Great video and awesome channel Jory! G-shock watches are bad-ass, love my Frogman & extensive Casio collection.
I had a DW-6600, What a great watch. Wish I knew what happened to it.
Good video! What are your thoughts on the full metal g-shock?
I have a G Shock GWM5610BC-1JfF. I love this piece and it gets more wear than any other watch I have
dgftw this is my choice in the g shock line up. 👍🏼
Hello
I need your professional help. I want to buy mudmaster. Not because I need it I just like it. I found two of them. GG-B100-1A3ER ( 465 € ) and GG-B100Y-1AER ( 435 € ).
Can you please tell me where is the difference betwen those two? or is any?
Thank you very much.
Is Gshock black and gold watch any good? My budget is around 200 dollars. Any suggestions?
I need the LAST BIG G-SHOCK on MY WRIST & IN MY LIFE just for FUN.
Would you go with a gwg1000 mudmaster for $450 or ggb100 mudmaster for $220. I dont need all the features, just love the mudmaster look.
Frogman is the nickname for a Navy SEAL.
Here its not just a nickname as we only have two elite corps they are litteraly named huntsmen and frogmen.
Im surprised that most people havent heard this. just from movies alone.
First off I love G-Shocks, but if you have to pick a SHTF watch I would only pick a Mechanical. If some nut detonates a Nuke the EMP would burn out everything but the most armored electrical circuits, any non mechanical watch would be a paperweight.
We're all be dead anyway.. No need for timekeeping in heaven.
Great G-Shock video bro can't wait to see your next one ...💯
Where is the watch on the front page of this video ? Or which model is the blue model in the dirt...
I might not be man yet but I love the g shocks 7900 rescue black is my favorite.
Newer 5W5600 movement has calendar up to 2099.
It would be much simpler to go to one of my winding boxes and retrieve
Am Omega Sea, whatever that is beautiful to the eye, is a manual self winder and set the time after daylight savings time and enjoy for another year. Ditto, Rolex Daytona, Rolex Datejust, Rolex president, yes I was on a Rolex kick for two years or so. I got my poor son into watches and high end performance vehicles and he now
Suffers from the same malaise .. Gents, all I can say is the was a plastic watch that probably cost $3.00 to
Make called 41 .
Sincerely
Butch P
Aka The Magic Frog, Don’t ask
You should check out the urushi seiko presage. Its a great watch
What do you think of the Rangeman? I can’t believe it is not on the list 🤔
My favorite watches in the World , specially the DW5600E ….. which is my default watch . I wouldn't be myself without it .
Everytime I click on Timeteller video my bank account shutters.
The triple sensor is the real world Pip boy 3000
They are great watches but a pain in the ass too reset for daylight savings time had mine set for D T s thinking it would switch automatically l😂
@slomojoe77 yeah it is pretty useless it's ether day time or night time give or take an hour
This watch has everything you'll need when the apocalypse inevitably happens
How do you get that picture next to your name?
@@jakegwen2393 I run a MBP and chrome... right click the image and select "Search
google for image" don't know if it will work for you but it works for me.
I need advice,
I am seeking following options,
DIGITAL & ANALOG,
SOLAR TOUGH,
ATOMIC TIME SYNCHRONIZATION,
PEDOMETER,
+ more, in 1 G shock.
Dial made of black hard carbon or raisins.
Thanks
Casio Dw 6600, a strong classic! Tested in wars and widely used by the U.S. Navy to replace Rolex 👏
To be honest:
Nobody does need five wristwatches. Most people even don't need one wristwatch. But it is nice luxury which I also like.
his dad is still looking for his watch
The 5610U might be the best all-rounder. Just the regular slim-profile square is plenty tough for most of us who just sit in front of a computer all day. I had to return the 5600 because I couldn't reliably use the adjust button without a tool.
I agree, that’s why I recently bought one. With the atomic time keeping, solar power, and the fact that it’s the most faithful to the dw5000c in terms of its appearance, in my opinion, it’s the best G Shock money can buy.
I’ve had a 5600 before, but I just got a 5610U. What a great watch!
I’m looking for something in the $300-900 range that I can wear to work (office) and out to dinner, out when I’m swimming or just hanging out. Beat all around and for it to look good.
Anyone got any ideas
Can someone say how much it would be for all of them?
How can you go wrong with a G-Shock...you can't, they're great
Why rangeman is not on the list. Besides being smaller than mudmaster, it's has all the features especially the black panther looks beautiful in full black.
So you recommend watch that you never own and called it your favourite?
Fascinating
Oh really?
Just like we all have our favorite pornstars, but we never get to test ride :P

Quick question the GX56bb1 ion your video had a little black frame around it. But I’m looking to pull chase one but the ones online don’t have the frame can you tell me where to get one. Thanks
I have a Gulfmaster GWN1000B-1BDR and it never leaves my wrist, you must include that as well!
I've got a f91w for my daily watch and it's work perfectly and I wanna buy my first g shock soon a solar dw5600
Still have my DW-5200 that I bought in 1984. Still keeping time. Bezel and bracelet wore out, and just replaced with one from a DW-5600.
