    I love making Gimbap with whatever ingredients are in the fridge. One time, I made Danmuji from scratch but it made my fridge and house smell SO bad…no one wanted to come to my house omg 😂. So from now, I always buy it from the shop.

      I make kimchi at home. One summery nephew was visiting. He was in his tablet and I was checking my kimchi. When I opened my container he yelled, "what is that smell?!". I knew it was ready 😂

    Aaron I tell you what, this video is amazing so is your tip about the sesame oil over the seaweed and the knife. I would never have tried to make this at home even though I am a very adventurous cook until I saw this video just a few minutes ago. Now I am 100% sure that I can do it!! YUMMMMMY!!!!

    I am always amazed that Claire can put an entire piece of food in one bite! The last piece of gimbap was huge and she still did it with no issue!

    I finished making this just now and it is crazy here 😂 Everyone including mom and dad are enjoying this so much! Dad was like we're is the sauce? I did not make any 😂 I lied and said dad literally this is not Sushi 😂😂😂 Even for a non Korean, this video is everything one needs to make flavorful Gimbap 🎉 Thank you sir for your efforts 🌹

    This makes me think of a Korean restaurant that used to exist, if you ate lunch there they always had gimbap ready while you waited. That was my introduction to gimbap and i miss it dearly, it was really good and very well made!

    Aaron and Claire!! I got your cookbook as a Christmas gift. I love it so much! I'm Korean American and immigrated when I was very young. I grew up in an American household with only a few opportunities to try Korean food at restaurants. It always seemed mysterious. Now that I am older, I realize how easy, delicious, and nutritious Korean cooking can be. I have made several recipes from your channel over the past year and they are in the regular rotation at my house, alongside the usual meatloaf and spaghetti.     예쁘게 잘 만드셨네요. 저기에 참치마요, 오이, 우엉조림 등이 들어가도 맛있죠. 한국에도 여러 퓨전 김밥집이 유행하면서 어마어마하게 많은 종류의 김밥이 생겼거든요. 누드김밥, 달걀말이김밥, 전 김밥같은 이색 김밥도 있고... 다만 밥에 깨소금이 안 들어가서 그런가 좀 밋밋해 보이네요. ㅎㅎ

    I love Gimbap. I always do a lot of it because my son eats a lot of it at the age of 5. My husband also likes gimbap very much and likes to take it with him to work because it is healthy and can also be eaten quickly. My son likes egg gimbap best. My husband and I like it when there are a lot of vegetables in it, we also like to eat the traditional gimbap. Great to learn your variant.

    I made these today… didn’t take me 15 minutes… took a lot longer, but now that I’ve had some experience and practice, I’ll be doing this again. Very delicious! Ps… wash the rolling mat immediately, don’t let it crust up like mine did. Otherwise, as easy as making a sandwich! Thank you for your detailed instructions. ❤❤❤

    I have been watching prior to the pandemic. Initially, I really appreciate hearing your thoughts on food while the both of you travel. Especially American food because I always wondered what people like or dislike about popular American foods.
    During the Pandemic, you taught everyone how to cook. I was someone who learnt how to cook more Korean/Asian food and was very thankful for that. Very excited and happy that you created a cookbook. I haven't ordered one yet but will look into it. I love cooking.
    Lastly, Excited about what y'all would do next. I would love to see the both of you travel more and give opinions about food again.

    Got into making Gimbap awhile ago as prefer it to maki, due to not being to keen on raw fish. Like to experiment sometimes trying different meat mixes. Miso beef has been a favourite use of mine outside of the traditional types.

    With a sandwich, you normally take ingredients already prepared and put it between the bread. Unless it is a grilled one. But getting to my question. Can I do the preparation of the filling a day prior and assemble the next day or is it better to do everything that day? Of course put everything in the refrigerator until ready to use. I suppose the spinach won't keep well may have to do it that day.

    GImbap is delicious, thanks for uploading this. I was trying to make it with rice prepared as you would for Sushi but the taste is off just a little. The Damuji adds a special bit of that texture too.
