I'm so glad I found your channel! It's so underrated!!! I am in love with all the Korean dishes! 😍 Also, what brand of chopsticks are you using? I feel like that would be so much easier to use than tongs.
Thank you for your kind words!! These chopsticks don’t really have a brand. They are the generic cooking chopsticks that you can buy at the Korean grocery stores. They’re not regular chopsticks. These are specifically for cooking. I hope this helps! 🙂

Thanks for this amazing video. I just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you! 😊🙏
These kimbap look amazing! I can't wait to try this recipe. How long would these keep? I was thinking of making these the night before we have to take a long road trip and then slicing them when we stop for lunch. Do you think the rice would get hard if they were refrigerated overnight?
They don’t keep well in the fridge. Yes the rice will get hard pretty quickly
@@chefatulya thanks for the reply. We made them and enjoyed them right away. They were too good to wait for!
In korean radish is called
Mu (무) pronounced moo !
daikon is japanese term !
Korean Mu 무 is crunchy sweet and has a very very refreshing taste with a hint of spicy taste also ! 🖖🇰🇷🎎
such a beautiful dish!
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD
Thank you!! 😊
Loved your vid! I’ve used cauliflower rice for gimbap before and it turned out pretty good!
Wow! Cauliflower rice sounds amazing! 😊
Can u like exclude the mushroom?
I can't find a source for burdock. I thought I bought it at supermarket in Chinatown in Philadelphia, but it turned out to be weird slimy tuber called Lixian Ma Shan Yao. Do you know of a substitute that would have the same texture, that is native to the US? I drank plenty of burdock tea during my cycling trip from Seoul to Busan, it is very good, wish I could find it.
Do you live nearby a Korean or Japanese market? It's best found there. If not, you can use more of the marinated mushrooms. It's a similar marinade so you'll still get that hit of sweet, salty, and umami kick even without the braised burdock. I hope this helps!
@@chefatulya I wish, and good idea! Thanks!
Looks delicious!
Thank you!!
Is that black sheet cover vegan too??
YES!
Atulya I love everything about you. Seeing you here for the first time I want to say YOU ARE SOOOOOO GORGEOUS. Your Channel is def. waaaay toooo underrated. You explain the recipe so well. I am so fangirling right now about you. Thank you for this beautiful Vegan Kimbap Recipe. I became vegan 3 years before.. and my life right now in a nutshell is veganism and K-Culture. I love the lovely people - Koreans have so much love to give, you are so kind and bighearted.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful experience.
Sub and Greetings from Germany
PS: I enjoyed the most hearing you speaking korean.
Thank you for writing such a sweet message. I love that you are into K-culture & veganism. That is so cool!
Packed my kimbaps and going to hike bye bye
Thosr are lovely delicious 😀❤️❤️❤️😘
Awww that’s so sweet!!!! Hiking + kimbap = perfect day 😊
Wow nice....I suport that..
I like your spinach sautee song.
Lol!
Excellent!
Will the taste be different if I use a regular sesame oil but will still use roasted sesame seeds? I'm from the Philippines and there's only few store who sell roasted sesame oil and they're freakin expensive lol
Roasted sesame oil is essential in Korean cuisine. I guess regular sesame oil is the next best thing to use but won’t be the same.
@@chefatulya Thank you! Your videos are inspiring and a good way to introduce Korean cuisine. Your recipes are so simple and you explain things so clearly. Very straightforward. You're such a big help for people like me transitioning to Vegan.
@@mrjcob1986 YW! Aw! Thank for sharing that. :-)
My vegan friend made kimbap like this for me and she used smoked tofu. It was delicious.
Omg! Smoked tofu sounds amazing!!
I didn’t know people ate burdock root. I took it as a herb. Cool.
Find this video and I almost cry, I'm so sick of rolling cucumber gimbap. Thank you algorithm
Yay! Now you have many more options for gimbap fillings. 😊
Can I just make them n store them to use them later?
You can prep the filling ingredients ahead of time and store them in the fridge. The only thing that has to get freshly made is the rice and rolling the kimbap.
@@chefatulya 👌...tq💜

Korean pickled radish is spelled
Danmuji ! Made from korean Mu (무) ! Japanese make a sweeter version of korean Danmuji
Many/ most japanese food/dishes are similar to korean food because food culture people came and through korea !
Japan is an island ! Common sense ! Ancient koreans became japanese !🖖🇰🇷🎎

"If you don't have a rice cooker..." go buy one. Mine costed $15 and makes the best rice ever. No fancy space - machine needed.
