looks yummy! While very similar in appearance, shrimp and prawns are two distinct species. Prawns tend to be larger than shrimp, and often taste sweeter. There are more varieties of shrimp, too. Both animals have 10 legs, but prawns have pincers on three pairs of legs, while shrimp just have one clawed duo.

Shrimp have one pair of legs that include claws at the end, but prawns have three pairs with claws. Prawns also tend to have legs that are a bit longer in relation to the size of the body than shrimp of similar size.

I wanna try some of this sushi recipes, and i've had one more idea as well when i watched your egg sushi recipe, that is to make filloa wrapped sushi. Filloa (also caled freixó) is a recipe from my homeplace, a very thin sheet made of egg, flour and water and coocked in a frying pan with little oil or pork fat, usually eaten at this time of the year (Carnival). For the inside, instead of spinach, i'd use grelo, that is a leaf vegetable also typical in this country at this time of the year. Just an idea! :)

Wow u make this look so easy. I have a bamboo mat already but is it easier with the wrap than the mat? In english most people call it shrimp but there r some that call it prawns an quite a few seafood resturants call it as prawns as well. It depends on what part of the U S u live in as to what its called. This looks like its fun to make as well. 🥰🥰🥰

Oh also thanks for being kind and writing in Spanish, I really appreciate but let me tell you that I am Catalan we have our own language which is Catalan. So, in that case the translation is "Moltes gràcies".
I don't want to talk about politics but Spanish people has been killing my ancestors and forbiding talking our language during many centuries. So, I feel an obligation to inform foreignors. Thank you so much for everything❤️❤️🌸🥰

In America it depends on size small ones 1 to 1.5 inches are called shrimp, large ones 1.5 inches or larger are called prawns. America is weird.
Oddball question but what brand Tonkatsu sauce do you use?

prawns and shrimp are actually different animals all together. They look very similar and unless you research it its highly unlikely youd notice the difference

In English prawn is reserved for very large shrimp, even bigger than in your video. Anything smaller we call shrimp.
