( , . .) Bruh this is the thing with my iPad did when I got some Coke on it.
I've fixed phones in much worse condition. The board should've been separated from the getgo to ensure proper cleaning. Alcohol is an excellent cleaner for removing flux residue, but for severe rust, you need a slightly more potent solution. First, mix a bath containing a very mild acid (50/50 vinegar and water) Run the ultrasonic cleaner for 5 minutes until all of the residual rust either turns black or disappears. Mix a mild basic solution (baking soda) to neutralize the acid for another 2 minutes. Rinse with demineralized water and then soak in alcohol to displace the water. Let the components either dry in air or with gentle heat.
something you have no other choice but separate the boards. 10 and 11 it is quite easy, not like 12 and up

ultrasonic cleaning can damage mems sensors... sensitivity to that changes from sensor to sensor... have you ever checked if accel/gyro works after that process ?

yesterday i was able to restore a severely water damaged 11 pro, i’m absolutely shocked by the fact that it works flawlessly. regardless perfectly timed video, i hope it’ll work like mine did.
edit: ok the water damage was more severe than i expected lol, mine was not nearly as rusted and corroded but good video nonetheless
Ich habe mal mit reinigungsmitteln gearbeitet. Die kann man unter Spannung auf verteilerkästen sprühen, also in die Elektronik rein in die Relais in die switches und diesen kurzschluss fest und haben reinigungsmittel mit drin. Vielleicht könnte es mal sowas ausprobieren

what if you separate sendwich layers and put it back in cleaner and then reball it and put it back together?
Would potentially increase the likelihood that the board would function. unfortunately reballing the boards layers is extremely difficult and I don't have the experience to do so without issues. Still learning soldering

Maybe if you had put the parts in a Ultrasonic Cleaner to get rid of the rust and then assembled them it could have worked? Idk. I just remember seeing a old dusty PC get cleaned that way and it worked perfectly fine after.

Hey PRG I'd like to introduce you to my problem with phone:
I (and many others) actually wonder what happened to my phone. (Xiaomi poco m3)
It was just a system update - MI12
And after it downloaded, it wanted to restart the phone. The phone didn't wake up! Absolutely nothing! No actual signs of life! Not even night on charger helped.
In Xiaomi store they didn't know what's even goin'on, so they sent us to the store where we bought it. There they replaced the motherboard, so I got no data back 😔. All my data ended up in some trash bin. So now I have theoretically a completely new phone, but with old casing and display.
The joke is in that, they didn't even bother themselves too update the phone for me. So now I have one year pending software actualization and I'm not willing to proceed with it.
And the best part is that it didn't happened only to me! The same phone, and it happened to a lot of people already! For some of them forced restart worked, but not for the others, including me...

With the rear camera on the pro iPhones getting bigger and bigger, they will eventually cut into the magsafe area on the back of the phone causing magsafe to stop working. What do you think Apple will do about it?
What..? This will never happen, what are you talking about? The camera sensors would need to get like an inch in diameter for it to affect MagSafe…
But camera sizes have reached a plateau, they aren’t going to keep getting bigger at the rate they have been over the last ten years. What you see on modern phones is pretty much how it will stay, only with software getting better over time.
