Hi
2:50: best transition to a sponsor message I've ever seen :O
Ik it was so creative
I agree
Yea 😅🤣

@@quantasplay lmao he has really good segues to his sponser
You can use 3utools to see if any serialized parts has been replaced like the battery, camera, etc Also apart from the logo on the back on the LCD flex cable you can look at the connector of the LCD, the original display have a 3d barcode, they come in either square (LG) or rectangle (Toshiba)
Hi,
Just wanted to say, he probably knows about this, but does never explain in detail this kind of stuff. Kind of the same way he only presented the iCopy something like 4-5 months after he got it. I think apple has gotten so powerful to make you miserable with ease they are scaring people with legal whereabouts. I don’t know especially about 3u tools, but i’m positive apple doesn’t like it being around for free.
Anyways, I hope you’ll have a nice day, and thanks for the info regarding different factories/serialization :)
That check looks funny on my 6s.
I did a housing swap and battery + screen replacement :D
(Cracked screen and scuffed housing, so I bought a water damaged phone with intact screen)
2:49 love that sponsor slide in

I liked it, it was creative

My wife’s iPhone was having issues about three years ago. I took it to the Apple store and they ended up replacing it on the spot.
I took it back the next day because the pictures were blurry when you took them. To my surprise they told me I had a counterfeit iPhone ‼️ I did not leave until three hours later until they agreed to replace the phone with another one. It was a piece of tape over the lens inside the phone.
Sometimes you can’t even trust the Apple store.
No way apple gave you a fake phone what the fuck
@@justagirlwithamustache9618 Euhm, if a random guy on the internet tells a story, you know it's Always true. Trust me.
@@Ipsissimus source:trust me bro
It could have also been an iPhone run through the eBay GSP, who knows
Becomes more plausible when you realise it happens in the jewelry market as well
I mean. I was kinda angry at Apple, due to their policy of putting serial numbers over everything, but this is definitely a scam. The display, the port, the scratches, the battery, whatever else could be downgraded and even sold at higher price than an original in a shop? That's outrageous and I can understand Apple battling this.
While I disagree with people selling products as new, when they are Refurbished (as that is actually a scam). I still disagree with apple not selling real parts so that people can repair their phones with genuine parts. There are plenty of people skilled enough to take apart a phone and repair it properly. Denying access to the parts is just unnecessary (And ultimately leads to more fake parts on the market).
@@blaster112 from what i have heard they will start selling parts to regular people in some time. but yes from iPhone 12 onwards

Also that’s screen was so yellow, it looked like it had mustard or yellow paint something applied on it :/
It looked yellow because it might have nightlight on
@@daniyalkhizar Could be. The display could have also not been calibrated for white balance. I'm no expert but that's my running guess.
@@daniyalkhizar my iPod had an LCD screen and when night shift was on I made the warmth 100% and it still wasn’t as yellow tho…..also night shift give more of a brownish hue, this is a straight up yellow tho……

Aww dang I got Phone Repair Guru’d with that ad.
Most of the stolen phones get send and sold to China, there they strip them for parts and have to equipment to reprogram serial numbers so the parts are working normally in iOS.
An authorized distributor is also not a guarantee, here's my story and how Apple support recognized this problem but with a catch.
Last month i bought an iPhone 11 new (in my country Colombia all iPhone models are sold out except the iPhone 11 model) they go for about $500.
This was supposed to be a Christmas present but decided to test the phone first before wrapping it up.
Like you said, the seal can be faked, replaced and the authorized distributor had tampered with the phone, at first it looked like a faulty swollen battery the phone didn't turn on and went in a bootloop when plugged in the charger.
The back of the phone had a fingerprint on the Apple logo this was also what was alarming to me.
I brought it in with another Apple distributor to claim warranty, after looking up the serial on the Apple website it looked like this phone was never been activated before so it looked legit.
The other authorized distributor checked the serial number and told me that the warranty had been activated 4 weeks before my initial purchase, which was odd...
Visually the phone checked out ok except for the swollen battery that pushed the screen slightly outwards on the top.
But when opened he found and old wrinkled and half swollen battery inside with scuffmarks etc...
The warranty was denied, i was furious and contacted apple about this and Apple Support on Twitter has told me literally this: "we are not responsible nor do we take action against authorized distributors that tamper with devices, our responsibility ends where they purchase the phones to be sold"
I filed a claim in small court right after that against the distributor who sold me that phone, 14 days later the judge ruled in my favor and had to refund me in full.
sorry that happened, congrats on your near perfect English! you write way better than most young Americans these days. Are you a lawyer by any chance? here in Mx iPhones are abundant but super expensive and I’m having a hard time cos people are so lazy with answering questions about something they’re selling. They lie a lot, too.

Your 'sponsored message' was so smooth, I actually watched all of it
Iphone xr screens are actually made by 2 different manufacturers, toshiba and lg. Lg screen tend to look a bit warmer compared to toshiba ones. Judging by the square qr code on the screen flex cable, the wish xr screen is definitely made by lg. Toshiba panels have a rectangle qr code.
That ad segway tho! One of a kind, well done.
I have a feeling that since there's a market for genuine iPhone parts in the repair industry,
they likely used the left over bits into a working phone to sell and make additional money.
I'd say it's better than throwing them into landfills, but it shouldn't be marketed as an iPhone, or at the very least other than a refurbished _n%_ iPhone.
Lol they'll be showing too much hardware notifications
Can you do back market and plug better tech. They sell pre own or refurbished devices!!! Also eBay!!! Plz thank you for the awesome video open and give honest reviews! 🎉

Hey man thanks for doing this kind of vid. It really gives value for us consumers. I just bought a “brand new” xs max last May. It was my first time owning an iPhone so i havent had any familiarity with whatnots/etcetera. I just realized that there is something wrong with the box just by watching a lot of iphone unboxing and iphone repairs like this. Please do a video about how to spot fake iphone box from original. Last question, does the sim card tray of that phone has an IMEI code? I read that genuine iphones have that. Also, did the earpods has serial number? Thanks a lot man! Ur videos are improving and im learning.

One thing good about WISH is their refund policies, Just contact WISH, not the seller and send them your video as your proof. The context is that you bought new, not refurb. Their normal policy is to refund you completely and they won't ask for the phone so no shipping costs to you. I have had this happen with replica watches through them. (Almost all WISH watches are replicas.)
True, buying anything branded on wish thinking your getting something authentic is pretty idiotic. Thats the #1 place for faked shit including sneakers.

Wish are always overpriced for ntg. Especially for refurbished products. That's why i would never buy from them in a life time. Don't know how they come about and got to be so popular. I always hear complaints about them but never knew it was true
