Hey Hugh, really liked the video. Just want to say that since you have the original earpiece cable you can reprogram it with the i2C i6s programmer and pair it to a new special i2C flex. After that you just have to solder back a speaker. Done it on the iPhone X. It’s even possible to reprogram it if you don’t have the original earpiece flex but you’ll have to take out the Nand and use the p14 pro. So it’s a big advantage that you have the original cable.

FYI, just applying acid to oxidised material will likely only be a temp fix if you don't neutralise it, especially with materials exposed to moisture (outside air). If you don't, it is very likely to rust like crazy again in a short while. After bathing in acid (24h bath), or a simple clean (like this one), neutralise the acid with a base (±15min after longer exposure to acid, like the 24h baths) and then rinse off with (demin) water. How did you do that? A while ago I deleted my iCloud account, but forgot to log off on one device. Have you checked the SIM tray? If it still has a SIM card inside, the tracking would be a bit easier as it (likely) contains previous owner and friends' contacts
@@sihamhamda47 Yes, there is a SIM card in the tray. I haven't checked how to find information using that, but if it helps, I also have a fully functional iPhone 7 of the same model. Like I said, I don't really know how to figure it out, but I probably could with some basic effort.
@@Box223 Just put the sim card in a working phone, find its number, then text or call that number. If the owner got a new phone with the same number, they will get your message.
@@mjyanimations1062 OK, thanks!
@@Box223 No problem. That's how I returned an iphone 6 I found on the grass outside a restaurant. To my surprise the owner replied within minutes of me texting them.
Hello Hugh I'm a big fan, have you encountered any PWM flicker issues on iPhone, how do you deal with it and what is the permanent solutions without setting up the white balance, does replacing the screen fixed the issues? Thanks
You are so lucky in the U.S we don't have the Sim card which is stupid
How much did all the replacement parts cost? How long did you work on this?

That newer adhesive on the newer iphones is horrible to remove and hard to heat up without apples jig to heat up the device and even then if the display is super cracked it's still hard
Do you ever use a ultrasonic cleaner?
