Only the violinists can understand! " Spinosi, excercise more, why are you breaking my aria?!?!?" :))) outstanding cooperation!!!Philippe is singing by each molecule of his body :)
I WISH!!I too have the recording and am looking forward to buying his recording (early one I think) of 'Beata Vergine' that I found in the AMAZON marketplace. I also think that 'Artaserse' (his accompaniment group' is excellent.
I can't disagree with anything you have said. I would just mention that the best singing I have ever heard from PJ was in 'Sedecia re di gerusalemme' along with countertenor Gerard Lesne. He was phenominal in this production!!!
I've got this whole aria down EXCEPT for this giant coloratura in the first phrase. The smaller ones in the middel: I've licked them(well, a bit slower...) . How do they DO this? I hate them! All of them! *sobs*
Well, I think Jarroussky was still taking violin classes at the point of Farinelli the movie, and of course, the voice in movie is studio blend of soprano and countertenor not the single contre-tenor or haute-contre. One more thing is that Jarroussky is an opera singer, not a movie actor.
He accomplishes a FAIR rendition, but David Daniel's rendition is far superior. I think because Daniels has a richer deeper tone quality and does it at a much faster tempo. Almost noone can match the diction of Daniels; it's truly phenominal at times.
Sure. And let's not vote against people that don't agree with you, as well ? This vote thing is meant to discard uninteresting comments, not force your argument to be the only one readable. I think this behaviour calls for no further argument coming from me.
One God, One Jaroussky!!!!
Какое замечательное сопровождение! А Филипп прекрасен.
WOW!! Impresionat!! Fabulous!!! Genial!!! Beautiful!! I have no words!
Terrific, fantastique, awesome!!

amazing!!!!
This is so good!
Magiefique
Very talented counter tenor! We could all hope to achieve his agility in singing!
Fi donc to me! :DDDDDD I beg your pardon for my inadvertence, monsieur Spinosi.

It's luxuriously!!! Poor Spinozi, he is ashamed under this stern look :)))))))))
This is nearly 2 minutes faster than Marilyn Horne sang it in the '60s, but both versions are exquisite.
I missed the basson! :-(

Do you know it with Marilyn Horne?

Bit extreme, he still has some of it.
il direttore e violinista ?? vogliamo parlarne??? :-(((((
ahahahaha lol
@PJisPureJoy Philippe is a wonderful singer with a very very beautiful voice. Are you crazy? Why do you write this? Isn't a musical comment.

he is eventually not good actor enough to act in a movie.
