- This is the first aria from the concert in Sisteron, France, 9 August 2005. Following the heated and passioned debate among the "Philippe community", I could not anymore hide this beauty from all of fans. More videos to follow! Philippe is accompanied by Ensemble Matheus conducted by Jean-Christophe Spinosi.
Merci pour l'ensemble de ces vidéos , merci de vous deux qui apportez tant de soleil dans nos vies
Sublime!! Gracias por compartirlo.
Божественно ! Красиво ! Браво. !!
Wow! I was in that concert! It was really great! Lemieux et Jaroussky are both excellent artists.
wonderful...gentle...l am fading when l hear this aria...
Amo tudo
Thanks you very much LV for uploading such a gem! I'm enjoying so much watching these recordings. It's a pity that there is no official dvd of this concert. jaroussky and Lemieux are great together and of course the special vibe with Spinosi is a great plus to get these beautiful renditions. All the best from Spain!
Thank you for your kind comment and support. Nice to find out this vivid Jaroussky tribe!
GOOSEBUMPS
Il est vari ame! Je vous en prie! Salutè Dieu! Amen!
so nice!
@hotvampangel Of course he is a counter. In a interview he demonstrated his falsetto and his baritone voice. Was quite interesting to see and listen to!
I think the direction is the heartbeat of the performance, it has pathos - keep in mind this is not a professional recording with unequally distributed sound and it's a live performance!
I am sure Farinelli would have approved of PJ!
indeed, probably unrechable for all of us....I
still try very hard to get into contact with him.
the argument by AkArtAk and Voixj are very valid, both perspective are correct, In my very naive perspective, I would say it is a matter of whether you like it or not. Despite the massive merchandising process on PHJ. I think he is new breed of countertenor,,, give him time, I bet that in a couple of year, when he finds his real voice and does not have to comply with the requirements of marketing, you will hear great performance
@hotvampangel I mean about the voice-change. Every boy has a soprano-voice. In puberty it changes, but a sopranist live Radu Marian did'nt change and kept their soparano-voice. Listen to his recorinds on Yotube. He has an impressive voice!
I think this was one of the arias Händel felt most pleased with.
His voice is fine for this rep on the grounds that he sounds amazing singing it ;).
Too many people get hung up on whether a voice is 'right' for a piece simply because a certain kind of voice has primarily performed it in the past.
He sounds gorgeous on it, so I personally feel that he has all of the harmonics and depth of sound that he requires to sing it :).
I am not trying to say you're wrong, because music is such a matter of opinion anyways. But I personally feel he's just right for it.
@HerrWarja .. any chance of a link to this interview? I'd love to see and hear the difference between Jaroussky's falsetto and baritone voice. ^_^
He is a high countertenor...im a high countertenor too ,i vocalize till fa7(queen of the night)im 22 years old but my pass is between the si5 and the do6 (the countertenor pass) the sopranista pass is in Fa6 so even i have the high soprani notes i can't call myself a sopranista and i think Philippe Jaroussky is the same situation
@HerrWarja well i dont know... but i'm a sopranist... but i dont use falsetto so i really dont know maybe im strange..
@TrebleB4Mi Well what is the diffrence betwhen a counter and a sopranaista? Does he not use his falsetto voice? Indeed he has a much lighter voice then David Daniels for example.
@HerrWarja thnk toby :)
@HerrWarja OOOW YEAH I DIDNT CHANGE MA VOICE AT ALL.. IM ALMOST 20 NOW ;)
@HerrWarja
this isn't haendel, its Broschi
BELO ! BELO ! BELO !!!!!
Hi ! No, I´m Spanish...... Best regards.
Wish the conductor didn't rush this.
@HerrWarja what do u mean by wnt though puberty ??? :)
Čarobna muzika i čaroban Philippe
i know that Herr. coz im a sopranista myself :D :D and i like Radu not that much, but i do :D :D
Naaaa Caroline im alright. ive been to the most Famous Foniatra :D its just nature or lets say God given Sopranist voice :D D:
@hotvampangel Oh cool. Your a sopranist. Congratulations!
Yeah, you where!? xD Of course it's Händel! From RInaldo (1711)
"Jaroudaisuki" hahahaha, i like this name.
The conductor is just silly. And Phillipe A DREAM in any sense.
Umm.. can anyone else see the windshield wiper effect going on here>? He needs to focus a little more. I don't care for this version nearly as much as Daniels, who has the maturity of the voice and emotion to pull it off more...
Oh no sorry, i was wrong :p
@HerrWarja falsetto ??? what falsetto are you talking about??? a sopranist or controtenor doesnt sing in falsetto ??? o.O im jealous coz im one...
while the voice is nice, I cannot stand the "windshield wiper" movements of constantly changing the point of view for the audience. I have never seen him sing standing still -- and would like to !
er bietet sein liebe Frau zurück zu kommen! Es soll tief sein, oder!?
@hotvampangel A sopranist are also know as "natural castratos" like Radu Marian för instence. A countertenor is a male singer in falsetto. Did you go threw puberty? If not, then you are a sopranista or a "natural castrato"
The direction of orchestra is not really good... I agree with belcantomania
es ist zu viel tief!!!
Then I really would advise you to pay a visit to the doctor. You may have an endocrinological inbalance that may be easily corrected with regular shots of testosterone.
You could have your chromosomes tested: you might be an XXY male. Less testosterone. You can live to be a hundred, no worries, but infertility is always a symptom, as is a hightened chance for breast cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes type 2. But less chance or heartfailure. And you will always keep a full head of hair and your boyish features, but have little facial and body hair. And you'll be a nice, kind and friendly person. But bad at sports, due to less muscle tissue and bad motorics.
