I can't stop watching this,it truly is amazingly lovely and Philippe's voice is extraordinary..just wonderful.
Banter between Philippe and 2 instrumentalists singing in deep voices were very funny and they complemented Philippe so nicely! Such fun!
Jaroussky rocks!!! He has such a pure voice. No one like him is able to bring back to life the glory of all the wonderful ancient music of Italy, France and all of Europe.

I keep coming back to this wonderful piece over and over. Credit to Alessandro Tampieri on violin and Doron Sherwin on cornett, both virtuosos on their instruments and pretty decent vocalists. I love Doron using his cornett like a microphone.

Merci à vous Philippe, Christina et les musiciens de l'Arpeggiata pour tous ces merveilleux moments que vous nous offrez, pour le bonheur communicatif que vous prenez à vivre la musique. Nous sommes bien loin des ensembles guindés que l'on aurait presque peur d'applaudir pendant leur concert. La musique est encore magnifiée quand on ne se prend pas trop au sérieux. Certes, point trop n'en faut mais de temps en temps cet humour est une bouffée d'air frais
J'adore la petite rousse avec son rire contagieux! Puis la musique est vraiment magnifique!

I went to see L'arpeggiata and Philippe Jaroussky last night at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. Che vi posso dire? What can I say? It was unbelievable. The transformative concept of Christina Pluhar's brilliant transcriptions to expand the boundaries of monody through the genius of Monteverdi and his contemporaries by bringing jazz influenced chromaticisms, melismas, and riffing to this wonderful music made it a joyous, coruscating, transcendent experience.
Un piacere ascoltare Jaroussky che oltre a cantare divinamente é anche tutto un attore! La Pluhar si diverte da matti e ride o sorride sempre quando a cantare é Jarroussky. Se si ascolta la "Ninna nanna" si vede la Pluhar sorridere pensando che Jarrousky potrebbe uscirsene con una delle sue, ma invece lí niente...
In ogni caso, ascoltare questa canzone ti fa sentire bene, a prescindere che uno creda o non creda in fantasie circa il paradiso o l´inferno.
