I would hit the area with wax and grease remover incase there is any glue left, and try again with more polish focused on the area - perhaps try a more harsh polish like Meguairs Ultimate Compound.
I know this is three months old but it might help others it's due to the UV rays of the sun over time the paint kinda fades why it's important to keep cars waxed.... the paint under the badge was protected from the UV so it shows a slight outline of where it was.
Most cars should be the same, the one thing you may want to check is if the badge also has a pin that is inserted into the body of the car, if so obviously you may not want to remove it if there will be a hole. Generally this is for larger and solid badges, a quick google search should reveal if your badge has a pin or not.
hi all i have a 2001 jeep Cherokee sport and the chrome lettering has flaked how can i repair it ? it cost me 121.00 nz dollars just for the front emblem any ideas?
Just personal preference really, just dont like badges - prefer the smooth paint/look. And pretty sure most will still know a Wrangler from any other car on the road :)
Nice ! A Jeep is a Jeep it’s doesn’t need a badge to be identified 👍
Ty for sharing your Advice 👍🏼
Hi Rich, thanks for the comment! Cheers
Nice Video! Loving the Nicki Minaj in the backround lol

I just used an angle grinder to remove my emblems. They came right off!
I recently bought a 07 tacoma. Truck is in great shape but the previous owner thought it funny to dress it up in ford badges. (??) Yeah.
Thank you.
Cheers, I hope it helped!

overkill
Whyy ????
For me, just personal preference. You can tell its a Jeep Wrangler without the badge just like how the brand removed the badge off the new JL.
Ben Cad Oh yess It’s right, thank you 😁
So I have to buy 6 or 8 products to remove a badge... Huh
Why would you, if it said Dacia or Nissan I'd get it. But why remove the Jeep badge.

Fair point, live and let live... btw - I must say you did do a neat job of getting the glue off too ;)
