I know i want to get into axanthic, my hardest choice is TSK or VPI. I know theres differences but i havent seen adults in either and it makes it hard to choose. What i want more than anything is a lavender snow 😍

Only difference is the quality of the breeder. Both can be just as nice, or poor. Depends on how the breeder chooses his animals

I just bought 3 snakes from JD and I'm super excited to see what I will get in my first clutches with them! I got a superfly 100% het tsk axanthic female a clown 100% het tsk axanthic female and a tsk axanthic 100% het clown male to mix into my axanthic project! Your snakes are gorgeous! ❤

I don't have an eastern right now. State law won't allow it until zoo is done and some inspections are met. Basically, I have everything I can have legally and nothing I can't. UA-cam also will not allow me to do feed videos.

nope, only one I hit is the one in the thumbnail.. I kept him, as he has some unrelated snakes in my collection to meet and help me cheat the odds a bit to make firefly axanthic

I have a 3 year old pastel(I think) but she’s so damn bright! Im not sure if she’s a super or not. I adopted her from someone who couldn’t keep her anymore. So do pastels or super pastels stay bright, practically neon, as they age?
Pastels usually turn a golden color. Take it to a local breeder, or if you don't mind trolls post online. Many will say "pastel until proven otherwise" like a repeated chorus. But might get a better idea. Yellow belly might be in there, it keeps them very bright

Completely off topic but i just had to ask since ive been doing a ton of learning about balls.
In the bearded dragon world there are only a handful of genetic morphs and while combos of thos morphs are sought after and the more morphs the more valuable the animal the main focus of bearded dragon breeders is selective breeding for color traits. This has led to a massive amount of color variations of just a normal bearded dragon with no genetic morphs and high color animals bringing in large sums of money even though there is no special genetic morphs present.
Why dose it seem that in ball python breeding other then looking for high white spiders there seems to be no intrest is selective breeding for color traits?
thisfool89 I think many people here can't get past the simple gene = this etc. But many of us also selectively breed those genes for the exact same thing as in bearded dragons. Going for more reduction in pattern, more orange in my pied, etc. So it is happening, but a lit of breeding just for xxx is happening too
Olympus Reptiles yeah i have been watching a ton of different channels and i dont hear any one saying that "im going to selectively breed _____ to bring out the orange" or anything like that.
thisfool89 watch our pied hatching from last year. Talked about extensively. Also in our axanthic stuff we frequently talk about it. Our high quality video is just about passing on the traits within the morph based upon selective breeding.

Good afternoon guys, man those are pretty balls😨, Had to throw it in there bro. I fed my Albino ball python Aphrodite's a hopper man what a fuck up. I've haven't done a feeding in a long way. I've forgotten how active Hoppers can be. I never fed my snake in the cage. I've always put them in a separate enclosure. To avoid cage aggression. So me as a dumbass I got the snake in one hand, I got the camera another hand and I try to put the hopper in this big ass topper wear I have this a little bitch jumps out of the fucking topperware and I'm chasing this hopper everywhere. Out of a corner of my eye I see Aphrodite's going to a small hole by the closet. I go running catching my snake and all the sudden I stepped on a hopper all I heard is crunch fuck. I'm trying to feed this mangled up hopper to my snake Aphrodite's and she's not having nothing to do with it. I probably stressed the shit out of my snake by this time. I figured just let the snake chill out for a bit I put the her back in the cage, then I've cleaned up the hopper. I've put the hopper in front of the snake hide and let her get it when she wants. Man I feel like Major Tool. Well for the good news I took a nap and when I woke up she just ate it. I'm kind of disappointed because I wanted to see it her eat it and film it but at least she ate and happy. boy that was a major strike out. I know it's only been 3 days so she's still getting used to me but what a fucking fail. But I'm leaning, well guys i hope you got a laugh out of this. If you got some more advice for me I really appreciate it. Like what's better frozen or live. Alright guy God bless and have a good one
I did get a laugh. I have used both frozen and live. I think I have a higher success rate with live, but it has some risks. For small collection, I preferred f/t. But as it grew, thawing became a job. And the expense over breeding my own led to the change to live. I think either is fine.
Also, not a fail. The hopper had a quick (gruesome, but quick) death, and was a successful feed. I call it a win
What does 100% het axanthic mean?
Joshua Rauch it carries one copy of the recessive gene. For a visual you need two copies so it would have to be paired to a visual or another 100% het

@@OlympusReptiles okay thank you because I'm planning on getting a baby ball python soon I was thinking about getting a yellow belly ball python but I'm a huge fan of the anti hero venom so I've been trying to find a ball python that's black and white and my plan was to find one and name him either Eddie, Brock or Venom.

Matt I have a question a bit off topic. Doing spot cleaning today and found a poo with one my girls. I cleaned her enclosure but she smells! How can I deodorize my balls?
I use Dawn and water and it gets rid of the smell.
Yup, Dawn is good. Literally can eat off it. Maybe she crawled through some shit. So I would give her a bath (just water for her). See if that helps

All babies change. Axanthic as adults aren't as bright as babies, but good quality still look good. They are hard to photograph, as camera tech tries to add color. Also, axanthic by itself is one thing, adding genes to it makes amazing adults

You can, but like anything moderation. Need to outcross at times.
