Funnily enough I watched Oasis at Wembley on the infamous night 2 and I was standing next to Johnny Depp-he was at the back of the VIP section and I was at the front of the everyman section! A thin piece of rope separated us but still I rocked out with Johnny
@@ben8447 Nice! I was at the first night (I think it was the first) The girl I was with at the time fainted in the middle of the crowd and I had to carry her on my shoulder whilst stoned, dodge the infamous piss throwing, carry her through the crowd and up the stadium steps into the concourse missing several songs. I was devastated to miss those!
My favourite Oasis gig of all time. I watched it live on TV at 9pm on a Thursday night, here in Ireland back in 1997. I recorded this gig on a VCR!!!! No Sky+ in 97. Hadn't been invented yet. I still have the tape, and the gig still plays. This is just majestic ❣️❣️❣️
I have an idea that infact GMEX killed his voice. Fade In-Out was in the end of the gig, so he already sang 1.5 hours at this point and he put into his vocals 110%. Plus it was in the end of 97’ and in 98’ he stopped singing Fade In-Out.
They were off their heads for this gig. Was absolutely amazing. They were riding the line where they were believing their own hype and still performing at the absolute top. Sad that the whole thing crashed soon after but it had to happen. The peak wasn't sustainable at the level they were at. They had to tear it down and rebuild. Sad it never quite reached the same heights again but there were still some great moments post 97/98
I was there , one of the best nights of my life, the other best ones were other oasis gigs. I still listen to this all time and it still makes my knees tingle
1995 is the year if you're going to react to a gig, live by the sea, Glastonbury, Earl's court amazing! The Gmex is brilliant as well though. Noel's still knocking out great songs, just today he released we're on our way amazing song!
Gmex has awesome acoustics, it was Manchester Central train station once so its indoors and the building is shaped like a huge aircraft hanger. I watched Metallica there back in the day and thats a concert I'll never forget. Every molecule of my being moved somewhere else during that gig it was so loud. Every drum hit felt like being hit with a shockwave. Talk about feeling the music! I wish I'd seen Oasis there.
Checkout the stereophonics, oasis and the stereophonics where my two fav bands growing up. A thousand trees or bartender and the thief are great sings to start with
Phonics tunes ' everyday I think of money' an 'i stopped to fill my car up' a shows his story telling abilities off better imo , great band too tho yeah
It really saddens me that Oasis were probably the last great rock n roll band of all time. Nothing comes close to this pure rock n roll. The bands they inspired didnt even come close to replicating this unfortunately. I live in hope that some group of kids strip it back to basics and carry on the mantle... Theres gotta be someone out there...
I think a great example of the 2 different sides of Oasis is a song called Fade Away. Check out the original and then listen to the Warchild version. Same song but completely different interpretations by same band. Liam original version Noel Warchild version
I know I'm (six months) late to the party but... this is what I imagine the whole Be Here Now album sounded like in Noel's head. Unfortunately he didn't quite get it all on to tape. Luckily we still got amazing live performances like this one though.
Love to see Americans reacting to what us Brits were treated to on a regular basis back in the mid/late nineties. In my opinion, this is peak Liam. His voice was on another level.
Hello guys, I have fun watching your videos 2, I am Brazilian and I have been following Oasis since 2002, and I recommend you the following video: "Cigarettes and alcohol live wembley 2008, or .. Headshinker live sea!" hugs
Check out Lyla from 2005 oasis album believe the truth plus a bell will ring and turn up the sun (last 2 written by gem and Andy), Hindu times, Shockwave, and be still, one of us, Liam solo, flick of the finger (beady eye, Liam solo) Holy mountain, freaky teeth, man who built the moon( best bond themes that never were) everybody’s on the run , all Noel solos
I've been asking for Born on a Different Cloud (Live) reaction for about 6 videos so far. No reply yet. Maybe one day...ua-cam.com/video/F3eBScPzqP8/v-deo.html

Fun fact about this song
Jonny Depp played guitar on the studio version 👌🏻👌🏻
I was going to say that lol

Noel G didn't know how to play the 'slide' guitar back then. And that's why he brought in Jonny Depp.
Me too! You beat me to it! Johnny plays a mean slide guitar
Headshrinker live by the sea
Slide away noel acoustic chicago 94 is amazing as well thats a must listen
Keep asking them to react to that gig, I wasnt really into the studio version of that song but when I heard it live at that gig amazing song!
Best review yet

I believe your reaction to this is the definition of having your minds blown.
Singing songs like this and All Around The World for 7 months straight on tour ultimately killed his voice in the long run. What a voice tho!
True dat
I have an idea that infact GMEX killed his voice. Fade In-Out was in the end of the gig, so he already sang 1.5 hours at this point and he put into his vocals 110%. Plus it was in the end of 97’ and in 98’ he stopped singing Fade In-Out.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR REACTING TO MY FAVORITE BAND ... GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA
React to Don't Go Away (GMEX 1997)
Great that Americans can hear rock’n’roll magic like this tooo!!!
Live by the sea.
Do it fellas.
Bring beer.
Liam was IN THE ZONE here
You guys are smashing these old Oasis tunes Big Time. There is many many more to get through 👌👍
This Gmex gig is the one you guys should react to in full. Be Here Now ( the album) is so much better performed live.
The record itself is shit but live it is absolutely fucking mega!
It was way overproduced on the album and oasis always had that live sound on there first two albums
Yep All Round The World and It's Getting Better Man both superb
This is one step for mankind..... literally
Finally. Thanks for the reaction
Absolutely coked up to the eyeballs in this
That's why it's so great

Do My Big Mouth at Knebworth but Oasis’s actual video. It shows the size of the concert and how many people were there that day
Had to watch again for my dosage, love it when spencer reacts to the riffs and stairways and Daniel to the crowds, I’m happy again.
Don’t go away live a gmex needs your ears!!!👂

One of their best tunes and you should check out the studio version - Liam’s voice is naughty in this 💪
Liams voice is on another level here. Peak ❤❤❤
The studio version is great. The live version is otherworldly.
Oasis - FADE AWAY 94/95 live stage gigs well worth a reaction.
Maine Road..."C'mon feel the Noize" you guys will instantly recognize the song and hear how Oasis blows it out
I was there, it was astounding, they were at their peak here

You should react to Liam being really really really drunk at Lille in 1997 on this same tour. It's hilarious!
Thanks for mentioning this! I didn't know about it before & just watched it. Hilarious!

This gig should 1000% be the one you react to, the set list/ liams voice is on another level compared to most oasis gigs
Try Swamp song intro followed immediately by Acquiesce from the Maine Road gig - first song on either of the 1st and 2nd nights.

I'd certainly recommend listening to the album version too just to compare how it translates from studio to live
You should definitely react to the gig at G-mex
Complety different Oasis era/album but I like to follow this tune with Born On A Different Cloud
My favorite! ua-cam.com/video/F3eBScPzqP8/v-deo.html
