Great reaction dudes. Keep the Oasis coming. Knebworth was over 2 nights to a quarter of a million fans and 4% of the population of the UK applied for tickets. It was a biblical gig
I was at Loch Lomond the weekend before on both nights. Bought a ticket for the Saturday, then met Liam in a Glasgow shoe shop on the Friday and he gave me another 4 tickets for the Sunday!!! Amazing weekend.
Please watch 'Supersonic' - a BRILLIANT documentary charting their rise 3 years prior to this gig as an unsigned band to one of the biggest music events in history. 96 in the UK was an amazing year. It felt it then, it is even more now. Give me back those times.

You guys should check out Earls Court Champagne Supernova 1995 widely considered the best live version of that song. That concert too the band was firing.

I watch alot of these types of videos on UA-cam it's funny how the Americans are starting to realise the greatness of oasis, cos they didn't really get them back in the 90s

Fussy comment : Liam s voice was a tad too nasal at Knebworth. Slide Away s best version is Glastonbury 1995. This song is often in the top 5 of Oasis fans.
Slide away is equally as amazing (personal preference way better) acoustically when noel sings it! You guys should check it out. That's the beauty of noels song writing ability almost all his songs are quite melancholy. Which results in him actually writing two songs in one : the first , for the recorded album, will always be the anthemic , fist pumping that you hear here. The second is this beautiful deep moving song you only really get to here when noel is doing some sort of solo venture like the teenage cancer trust or the Netflix special "one in a life time sessions" etc. Its really incredible! I would highly suggest after listening to a regular song by Oasis to then search for the noel acoustic version. Sometimes, Rarely it won't work like rock n roll star or cigarette and alcohol but most of the time. Your minds will be blown like : listen up, slide away, whatever, married with children, etc..
Thais ws our third Oasis gig. I drove my mates there , a 4 hour drive, we left at 5 am and then drove back that night at around 11pm. We got home at around 4am. Wasted. The bootleg beatles were there, Ocean colour scene., manic street preachers, Prodigy...what a day!
This is an amazing tune! I'm loving watching u guys on this journey. Daniel, have u heard an Oasis tune u don't like? They were just amazing. One of my top 2 or 3 bands of all time and they are right there. Maybe my top band and i have a huge record collection. The solo on this song is killer too.....it's better on the studio version of the song tho. Give it a listen and you'll see. Noel does short pentatonic fills for solos and they suit the song. He plays for the song and nothing more than it needs.........he was a minimalist when it came to solos. He wasn't an incredible "shredder" but he didn't wanna be. He's just a a great songwriter! Not overly complicated (and they knock him for that) but great melodies and not adding too much or too little to the song. This guy literally wrote 30 GREAT classic rock tunes, minimum. Not just the greatest gig of my life, but one of the greatest days/night of my life.
I was there that day at Knebworth. Epic show, Noel's guitar amp was louder than a jumbo jet taking off 😁
I can actually believe that ngl
Fun Fact: Noel is left handed, but plays on a right handed guitar and he self taught himself.
He said al the books he had were too complicated for left handed players so he just played right handed to make it easier.
