Very useful and an answer if the tailgate opens on my car..I expect the DS is just the same. I bought a trim tool and multiple plastic fixing kit recently to replace the battery box clips which have started to ping out! I’m ready to attack any errant trim and inspired by you! Well done again! 😃😃😃😃Richard.
@@L663 You are my inspiration!….i come from a time of the steel bent semicircle clips that rusted for a pastime and ensure that whatever you did, just pushing them in scratched all the paint off. My Dad hated them and sometimes resorted to short self tappers with a raised washer to spread the load…they didn’t fall off though! Ah those years…decaying fibreboard….stiff vinyl that peeled off the backing….finding more rust and the certainty that once removed, if they didn’t ping off never to be seen again, they fell to bits and you could never buy them in Halfords! 😬😃😃😃😃😃
Just two days ago I had to change mine. Also opening by itself. It didnt look wet. All sealed ok around the microswitch, but the new switch has cured the problem.
Just been scrolling back through your videos and I think this is the last vid you did that involves the Freelander 2. I wonder if you might be interested in doing an electric tailgate conversion for the Freelander 2 and of course showing all of us how to do it?

I did strip our switch down and it also was dry so it is a bit of a mystery !
Any chance of a video on retro fitting a reversing camera?
Great vid again! These are savings me hours on my 13 plate FL2
Great video....please get around to sorting out a mis-reading fuel gauge...mine's a bit bonkers and a vid would help.

I have an 05 RRS with a broken rear tailgate window release switch. Would it be a similar process to this do you think? Love your videos
Another lovely job Simon and good video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😀
Those fixings are a nightmare when they break
Yes i have heard that they can be tricky.... maybe just cutting the switch off and replacing it would be the better option !
Boom Boom!! 💥 💥
