Hi Magda 🌺I wasn't selected to be a Schuman trainee for the march -july period and I am thinking of sending a motivation letter alongside with my cv to mep of my country and asking for Traineeship in their offices... Actually I have sent such an email to one MEP before 6 days and yet no response... I am starting again to lose my enthusiasm/my courage...Do you have any tips or do you know anyone who has undertaken a Traineeship with a MEP?Any advice is highly appreciated!!! have a great day 🎀
Hello Madga ! Thanks for your video. I was wondering if the CV we upload on the platform will automatically be sent to each 3 offers we chose, or if we will be asked to upload a CV for each offer?
Hi Magda! Thanks for your help! I would like to ask you two questions:) Should I address my motivation letter to the Head of Administration Trainee Outreach and Recruitment Unit? And Should I put a photo in my cv?
Great vid! I have a question if someone is willing to help. Are the criteria for a Schuman traineeship the same as for a Blue Book traineeship? I.e., an extra, 3rd language; international experience; certificates etc...?
Hi Madga, currently trying to apply🥲, thank you for the insightful video! How long do u think approximately the curriculum should be? I'm not sure If I should include everything or not... thanks!😇
It should be in europass format which makes it usually quite long but I would say max 3 pages in europass format but remember to put the most important things and also that you have a motivational letter to add other information there 😌
Hey Magda! I have a question for the application. Do know if a Directorate we applied in has access to our 2 other applications? I'm asking because I am overthinking 🙃Thanks for the video!
Hello, in the first step they see all your applications with documents (CV and letter included) and then the specific units shouldn't see the rest of them but just to make it better be sure you'll send different tailored cover letters and if possible also slight changed CV so it manches the position (not a generic one) - it should increase your possibilities to get in
Thank you so much for your answer! I have tailored cover letters for each offer... maybe too much. I'm afraid that they will compare positions I applied for @@ByMagdaYT
Dear Magda Thank you so much for your enlightening videos. I just spent the weekend sending off my applications but was disheartened by the responses I received from my classmates (at a French course in Brussels) when telling them. They said I didn’t stand a chance unless I knew someone on the inside and knew how to “lobby” my application. They also recommended getting in touch with a unit/organization my home country that help people “get in”. But I don’t know of any such organizations or what this “lobbying” entails and I am frankly quite confused because upon submitting my applications I had to declare that I didn’t have any familial or romantic relations working in the EU. So I just wanted to know what you make of this. What is your experience with “lobbying” your application? Do I stand a chance on just my merits or is there something I should be doing to improve my chances? Ps. the traineeships I have applied for aren't hugely popular, around 15-30 other applicants.
Hello, I haven't worked there but I have few friends that did a traineeship last year and they didn't have any friends in there to ease it up just good CV with skills, nice motivational letter and good impression during interviews. There are some mythes about EU institution apparently it's also so difficult to get for traineeship at EIB (that's what I did) and you need "friends" to get it bit it's not true, I got it thanks to skills and positive attitude during interview, and I got invited for two interviews out of three without knowing anyone so I honestly think it's just people not getting in saying it as an excuse or knowing one person who got this way (but just think that maybe this person was actually suitable for the position anyways) If I were you I would try applying, doing my best and see, if not this time maybe next one 😌
@@ByMagdaYT Hi Magda 🙂! Why do you believe we have to declare if we have any relatives working in the European Parliament? Why is this information important for them?🤔
Hello Magda, I applied for the Schuman traineeship for March 24. When do they send invitations, interviews etc? since it is Nov 21st now and deadline was 31st oct. Should I give up hope? :( Ps I m a non EU citizen
Hey Magda! Your video was super helpful ❤️ I have another question: do you know how they ask to prove our knowledge in the EU languages? Thank you in advance :)
Hello Magda, Do you know if the university diploma and criminal record should be translated into English with a certified translation? Can I upload the documents in their original language?
Hello, I'm not sure at the Parlament but at EIB it was any of the official European union languages, also for criminal records you usually have an option to choose in which language it is, for uni diploma you should also be able to ask at uni for the suplement to diploma in English usually for free or with a fee that's lower than official translation ☺️
Hi Magda, i would like to apply but i am 33 years old and have graduated 10 years ago. I never done this kind of internship and i am so excited about. In the requirments is written 18+ and there is no age limit. Can i apply?

Hey Magda! I would like to apply this month for the Schuman traineeships. I will be graduating in my master degree in International Politics in July. But how does it exactly work with the application (which I need to submit in May) if I only graduate in July? Thank you so much!
Hello, Magda! Thank you for such an informative video. Could you please tell me, does the trainer receive a certificate or any kind of document after completing the traineeship?
You should receive the prove of employment (I actually don't remember where is mine xd) and at EIB (idk about others) to get a recommendation you have to be a representative of trainees otherwise officially they can't give you anything
Hi, Magda! Do you know if after being selected for one of the EU traineeships, the EU will help you to any extent with the accommodation? I will very much appreciate it if you consider my comment since this is a very important topic for me and I cannot find any specifications in this direction.
Hello, they don't really help you, they share an excel file with accomodations that are usually only in this excel file but they are very often occupy anyways so that's the only help unfortunately :c
Hello Magda! I have a question. I have read requirements and rules of Schuman Traineeship and I founf out that accommodation is not provided. So as I understand, I have to find accomodation on my own. How did you search for accommodation? Could you tell me about your experiance or give some advises. Thank you.

I applied for the Schuman trainee program at the EU Parliament on October 28, 2023. It's December 1, and I haven't received any emails. Does this mean I didn't get shortlisted? Any advice?
Hello Magda! I had a question, since you know people who got a traineeship in EU institutions. I received an email saying I was shortlisted for the European Parliament, so that meant I passed the first step of the selection procedure ^^ I was wondering if you or your friends knew how long is the wait between being shortlisted and having a traineeship offer? The wait is killing me cause I know I have chances of getting an offer, but I don't know if I should wait two, three or more weeks! If you know, that would be great, but if you don't that's alright. Thanks for your video ^^

Do you think the further process will include an interview as well or is it just being shortlisted and then they decide whether you'll get the offer or not?
Hello, I only know it how to do in Lux but you have to live here first to be able to get them :c try to google it, for Poland it was a super easy answer and it was based on your residency not citizenship and I think it applies for most of the counties 😊
I am in the same situation and I hope this is a requirement for the bachelor studies, so they require you to have any university diploma obtained, it makes no sense to not let you do the traineeship if we are still master students.. this is a full time position and they wont let you go out for work in order to do anything for your studies and thats why..
It depends on the team - each team chooses their own questions there is no list of questions they choose from or are often ask by everyone - the only one that occured often is what is EIB, what is bond and what is green/sustainable finance rest is more specific to a job post 🥺
