  • A simple dish to whip up in a hurry, with a satisfying pairing of curry and cheese.
    INGREDIENTS
    1/4 cup butter
1 onion, quartered & thinly sliced
    1/21 tsp salt
10-12 oz (280-340g) thinly sliced pork
    2 tbsp curry powder
    2 tsp garam masala
    2 1/2 cups cooked rice
    7 oz (200g) mozzarella, grated
    5 oz (140g) Gouda , grated
    DIRECTIONS
    1. In an oven-proof skillet, cook the onions and salt in butter, over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-6 minutes.
    2. Add pork, curry powder, and garam masala. Cook on medium, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes.
    3. Deglaze the skillet by adding small amounts of water - just until deglazed, but without becoming runny.
    4. Off heat, mix in the rice.
    5. Combine the two cheeses. Mix about 1/3 into the meat/rice mixture.
    6. Spread remaining cheese over meat/rice mixture.
    7. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes.

Firstly, i enjoy these cooking videos... i just wish they get more love from the algorithm.
But I have a feeling that you will get so much interaction on UA-cam if you share a little bit about, say, Osaka food or secret spots... with tourism on a record high in japan I'm sure more eyes are on these topics. You have so much charisma and a very chill vibe.
Sorry for the long comment 😅

Hello Kevin. This looks delicious. Rice, cheese, curry,... nice. Oh, I wanted to let you know that I contacted the Osaka City government and applied for a permit for opening a cheese shop right outside of the Teradacho Station...

@@KumasKitchen I found it quite tasty, and very easy to make, it was slightly dry? i did use freshly steamed rice from the chinese shop (used that cause = lazy that night) so maybe boiled rice from home would be better? or would that cause risk of cheese split? dryness was not a deal breaker by any means, nothing a side of a sour cream dollup didnt fix! It also reheated quite well in the microwave. just lost the crispyness from the cheese, but the umami flavour from the crispy cheese was still there!
