    You should try putting the curry cubes in before the water. Saute the curry bar so it melts a little w the gogi and vegetables for a bit. the curry roasts a little and then add water later. Gives the curry a richer flavor. Great channel.

    I make this recipe all the time!! Ottogi is the best curry I ever bought. I use half water and a can of coconut milk with the thick coconut cream too, it makes the curry creamy and more delicious 💕🥰

    I tried this recipe, I used boneless chicken tights and I added daikon. It was very very good! And you're right, caramelized onions are the key! It took me about 45 min to caramelize the onions in my Instant pot, on sauté, low. And don't hesitate to reduce the curry to thick consistency 😋

    I've made that Japanese curry before with the cubes and it was really tasty.
    I'll look forward to cooking this Korean curry ✌
    I always add a cinnamon stick, 2 bay leaves, 4 crushed Cardommon pods to my rice cooker. It makes the rice fragrant and nice 👍

    I looooove curry 🍛 in all forms.
    Mostly have it with tofu and veggies . I have a Jamaican spice one in my pantry from an Asian store 😜 going to see what my family thinks tomorrow. Great tip on the onions will try .

    GREAT POST! I also like the Ottogi brand. The curry pack is very convenient as we always get a hotel room with a kitchenette when we go to Seoul. The hotel provides a rice cooker but for convenience, we buy the microwavable individual bowls of rice which we can use with many different dishes. :-)

    When i was in Australia, I went to their Korean restaurant and had this.
    IT was soo good, i ate it every day for 2 months..then cuz of the virus i had to return back to my country.

    And, if I had a drinking game watching your channel, it would be taking a shot every time you said "Don't worry about it" instead of "green onions." But that's just me.

    Uuuuugggggh, I LOVE CURRY 💕 I’ve never tried making it with powder before. I feel like that’s much better than the ones pre-made & you put them in a pot of hot water to cook haha. And I’ve never had it with kimchi either 😮 I’ll have to try that

    I’ve been watching your videos for ages and as a busy house wife appreciate the simple but delicious recipes. I love to cook Japanese curry rice (using either S&B, House, or even Chinese Fish brand block) and tried this method last night. It was really rich and flavourful which I put down to the caramelised onions. I didn’t expect just how much sweeter it would make the dish which I’m not sure about. Maybe I cooked the onions for too long? Should it be so sweet?
