Just be aware that I get hundreds of emails every week and I can't promise that I'll show what you send in.
I have to agree with you that it wasn’t exactly a throw by the enemy team, but still quite disheartening to see all of our DDs dead in the first few minutes. And also having my clan mate in the carrier was monumental. My arms were definitely shaking by the time it ended, so thanks for the feature!
Well done, great game!
Sick double kraken!
In hindsight the Daring and Friesland should've just stayed away from the action, stuck together to help each other with AA and they probably would have won considering the time left. But well, that's very much hindsight. Epic game :)
Awesome battle there. You and your clan mate take a bit of a lie down after that carry, rest your backs.
Yeah I think that’s a neurological problem if your arms were shaking over a video game
tell us your division hard carried without telling us you hard carried.
"we got 2 krakens"
LOL!
As a DD (50% win rate) main.....NO comment. Thank you Jingles and now back to the salt mines.
50% isn't bad. I used to be a DD main as well but I don't think I start again until they fixed CVs.... At least the ridiculous plane spotting could be removed.
I have GOT to go to bed *sees jingles posted a video* I have GOT to go to bed… after this video
mood
Same here
😂 I can relate to that 😂
The poor kiev must have been pretty much obliterated by the carrier considering how fast he died and how far back he was (that far island behind the C cap) and there were no other ships anywhere near him. Audacious smash. The Jutland on the other hand must be an incompetent spud of inexorable proportions to die to a friesland while being backed up by a split, prinz eugen and colombo.
I feel for that Kiev, Ive gotten wiped in the first couple minutes a few times by a determined CV and theres just nothing you can do about it.
And he WAS trying to contest the B cap in fact. Although when Jingles mentioned the DD dispersion, he was already gone. RIP, CVictim.
Yeah, the Kiev moves to contest B early but gets picked up by the Audacious and focused hard. We see the first strike hit for 5k of his 14k health pool at 1:30 into the video, after which he evades for a bit, moves back toward cap B, and then tried to run away from DBs which kill him.
Is fun and engaging still a thing in this game?

I watch all my videos, but always save Jingles for last. His videos are like the main event. The last two videos are always, Flambass then Jingles. Great videos Jingles, never change.
I watched (in order) Maltese Knight, Flammu, Trenlass, Flambass and lastly Jingles, in increasing order of entertainment, only I don't watch Flamu anymore, he got too nasty.
something worth mentioning is Malta has extraordinarily tanky planes, large deck reserves, and the fastest plane regeneration at its tier, hence why Elknifer was spamming near full squadrons after already striking numerous ships
It is currently 1 in the morning
Perfect time to watch Jingles!
Upon first sighting of a Mighty Jingles video, I naturally went to watch it. That’s my style, sir!
Someone has their Sharpe down pat. 😁
@@Ned-Ryerson using a Sharpe reference…now that’s soldering.
Or should I say “sailoring” seeing that this is a world of warships video
did any officer distinguish himself?
I think it's time for another "Actually, Jingles"(tm).
Light cruisers, as defined by the London naval treaty, were cruisers with a main armament of up to 155mm in caliber. Originally it was meant to be 152mm (6"), but the French pointed out that they already had a 155mm naval gun, and they didn't want the ships carrying those to be classified as heavy cruisers. Heavy cruisers, on the other hand, were cruisers armed with guns up to 203mm (8"), not beginning at that caliber. The british Hawkins class, for example, had guns of 191mm (7.5") caliber, and those ships were classified as heavy cruisers.
So, in short, Alexander Nevsky is a heavy cruiser. Or would be, if that ship had existed.
Absolute masterclass in teamwork at the end. Great vid.
I can tell Jingles has never actually played the Nevsky if he thinks the armour is bad and it has an unimpressive health pool. It's a light cruiser with more citadel protection than a Stalingrad or Des Moines (plus it's layered), an ice breaker, and very flat sides with no shell traps. That's before you get into the absurd range and the rail guns which means you can stay angled the entire time and kite. Compare it to any other light cruiser in the game and see how tanky it is.
but its not a light cruiser, it has bigger than 155mm guns according to the treaties, hell the pensacola, northhamptons and portlands were light cruisers till the signing of a pen
Whenever health pool of tier 10 cruisers are discussed, I need to think of my Zao and avoid crying.
@@robertseum1279 true, although it’s often considered the “light” cruiser alternative compared to the Petro. Either way, relative to the majority of other tier 10 cruisers (excluding the large / battle cruiser type ships) it’s armour is quite effective if played correctly and it’s health isn’t bad at all. Despite something like a Hindenburg or Zao having technically thicker upper belt armour, the Nevsky will hold up much better to AP in my experience. It’s also relatively low and thin as well.
@@riquelmeoneZao still has the best armor profile if any t10 tech tree cruiser until Petropavlovsk.
He hasn't played in a long time from what others have mentioned
Wow, what a performance.
The moment the enemy called GG it was game over, but not the way they thought.
Well bugger me gently, its fucking rare as rocking horse shit to see a double Kracken in a Div. Well played lads...👌
Well, it's not quite Christmas, but my younger son saw what I was watching and said, oh, it's the Mighty Jinglebells... :)
Been playing Talinn on the PTS and thanks to those lovely 180's I may have to grind the Soviet Cruiser line...dammit! That will be three lines simultaneously.....will take me forever. :)
Yea. Getting xp for ships is super easy but credits not so much.
The most enjoyable battle i have seen in a while. GG and a virtual high5!
If anything, I like how enemy team, mainly venezia and Montana, seems to be quite a good sport about their loss, a rare thing to see these days
Good to hear your laugh, jingles
one of the best ive seen in awhile, especially with the 2 krakens divisioned. the other team had some good players to, 3 and 4 on the other team.
.... wow i dont think i have ever seen a double Kraken in WoW's before
And one with a CV carrying a chunk of the load for its Kracken!
Long time subscriber of many many years. I remember the mingles with jingles when he ranted about german offensive symbols being banned in a game but not Sickles and hammers. Good times
That was amazing! Nice teamwork and i bet it was weird to see it end up -- just the two at the end!
Jingles, I love your videos. This, Aliens, Dredge, etc.. looking for another challenge. try a game called Uboat...Its far enough along now, it's worth trying. It's a simulator game of a German sub, prior to and through WWII. Its a survival kind of game, so it can get pretty intense, sitting on the bottom of the ocean praying the destroy does not detect you, and leaves before you run out of air.
Every once in a while you get a game like this. This is why I still play Wows. Despite subs, cvs and other bullshit.
As a sub...you don't really "need" to establish a lock on a CV. That's what people don't seem to realize: CVs are p much oblivious to what's happening near them so if you can sneak within torp range of a CV, you can just cold launch the torps and be done with it.
Thank you Jingles. Great fun to watch this game.
Always look forward to your World of Warship videos! Great job Jingles!
Love the Nevsky, esp a great ship in ranked
Just a sick game all around - Malta and Nevsky is a strangely powerful division.(well, a Malta is never strangely powerful - it is always powerful)
HOLY CRAP what a good game!
that was a great match
almost entirely carried by the CV squadmate, but still good match
"Actually, Jingles", light cruisers were defined under the London naval treaty as displacing no more than 10,000 tons and being armed with guns of 155mm and less. Heavy cruisers were defined as displacing no more than 10,000 tons and being armed with guns of 156mm to 203mm. Anything exceeding 10,000 tons displacement, or 203mm gun armament, was considered a capital ship, call it what one may like. Outside the strict definitions of the treaty regards tonnage, the 'general' terms used for cruisers in the sub-maximum caliber lower end, or intermediate range, of heavy gun armament was either heavy cruiser or, at times, simply 'cruiser'. In no case in the real world, would a cruiser armed with 180mm guns be considered a light cruiser.
Yes, I'll get to work on that second shift of salt mining, now.
never thought id see the day i started watching a jingles video 18 seconds after it posted and seeing 0 views
Ahh yes finally a jingles video to watch after days of processing my college enrollment.
3am here on the eastern seaboard, and sleep is less important than Jingles videos!
Reread the treaty jingles. Light cruisers are up to 155mm guns while heavy cruisers are up to ~203 (I think it was actually 205 or 210). Most countries built ships to the max because why wouldn't you, but ships like these with guns between 6 and 8 inches would be classed as heavy cruisers, just how legally ships with, say, 11 inch guns would legally count as capital ships
Well. 3am in the middle of a third shift job. Now I have to hide long enough to watch xD
That’s the one really nice thing about working third shift, though, isn’t it? There’s almost always someplace to hide…
Red Assassin's team was the two Kraken/Kaiju + some cannon fodder.
The enemy team were competent but unlucky. C'est la guerre.
Treats and scritches for Hjusie and Akizuki, hugs for Rita and a hearty high 5 to you, Admiral Salt Mining Gnome Guy.
🐈🐈⬛👑✌️🖖
What a match! Complete with footie-style commentary ;)
Actually Jingles, iirc, the CL/CA line is 190mm, set by the Hawkins class, which was the first class of true 'heavy' cruisers (for their time), and which started the distinction. Prior to that, cruiser had been a limbo ship defined more by role than gun caliber. Also (and do correct me if I'm wrong here) the lead ship of the Hawkins class was HMS Raleigh. They were renamed Hawkins after she became the new lead ship when Raleigh was wrecked in 1922 (source: The Grand Fleet: British Warship Design and Developement, 1906 - 1922, by D. K. Brown).
1:18 AKTUALLY Jingles, 8-inch guns are the maximum caliber for a heavy cruiser, not the minimum. The treaty-defined dividing line between heavy and light cruisers is 155 mm (6.1 inch) guns; anything with guns larger than that (up to 203 mm or 8 inches) is a heavy cruiser, and anything 155 mm or below is a light cruiser. So, by the London Naval Treaty definition, the Nevsky is a heavy cruiser.
Wait, what? What do you mean? What the heck is a "shotgun cruiser"? AAAAAGHHH!. 😁
Based solely on your videos, Jingles, if I ever decide to actually start playing WoWs or WoT I'll stay at Tier 5 or below.
Great work from the assissin
That, was a beautiful game to watch!
It's not impossible to get a torpedo lock on a CV. You just need to ping it from outside ASW range and wait out the damage control - 1 minute.
Fantastic match!
What a great game, loved it, thanks for sharing it,
That was absolutely amazing
Thanks Jingles
I know it time for me to go to bed when i catch a Jingles video MINUTES after upload
What's another 20 minutes? :)
3 AM Here, or as I like to call it, Jingles o’ Clock!
Jingles Moment alert: Molotov has 6 in main battery, maybe you meant the Kirov?
What's that? Salt mines? Understood sir. Right away sir.
Matchmaker was weird today...I was playing in the Agir and for some reason got into a Supership line-up, did well of course, but it was strange to say the least...now I know how tier VIII Cruiser captains feel when being in a tier X battle lol.
I believe the London Navel Treaty determines any cruiser with greater than 160s as a heavy cruiser, so ships like the Kirov, Molotov, Mikoyan (the mid tier premiums), and Tallinn (the first of the Petro line), all with the 180s and the Hawkins with it's 190s would all be heavy cruisers
According to Encyclopedia Brittanica - capital ship = more than 20,000 tons displacement OR guns of 8 inch (203mm) bore diameter. Pardon me, Fleet Captain, but apparently none of the classes of ship you listed fit either condition, sorry. Our hero was definitely in a ship considered by the treaties to be a light cruiser
@@michaelbourgeault9409 So you cited what is considered a capitol ship, that means nothing to the distinction of CLs to CAs,
@@FltCaptAlan I beg to differ with you, Fleet Captain Alan. As per the London and Washington Treaties Heavy Cruisers are capital ships, whereas Light Cruisers are not capital ships.
@@michaelbourgeault9409 No 8" ships we NOT counted as Capitol ships, as the US had their 15 BBs, (the Washington limit for the USN "Capitol ships") [AK, NY, TX, OK, NV, PA, AZ, NM, ID, MS, TN, CA, CO, MD, and WV] plus their heavy cruisers [Pensacolas (2), Portlands (2), New Orleans (7), and one class I can't remember the name off the top of my head] until the treaties collapsed, Anyways your earlier text says "capital ship = more than 20,000 tons displacement OR guns of 8 inch (203mm) bore diameter" meanine they have to EXCEED 8" guns in order to count as capitol ships
Jingels:"There was no way that Wargaming was ever let submarines be a credible threat to their precious aircraft carriers!
Meanwhile in unrelated news, the Taiho and Yorktown are demanding their money back!
I hear they are trying to persuade the Shinano to do the same.
(I know it strictly speaking wasn't an aircraft carrier, but still)
Its a pain working the shift of 5pm-1:30am but when i get home at 2AM and there's a very recent Jingles upload, its a nice bed-time wind-down! Damn though, 2 krakens on the same team in a division, beautiful teamwork even if one of them is in a CV. Teamwork is kinda rare.
Kudos to Red Assassin for providing a comprehensive post-battle stats review. =^[.]^=
brilliant play
According to the London Naval Treaty of 1930, any cruiser armed with 6.1” guns or larger is a heavy cruiser.
The "enemy" Atago, it's Spike from Buffy!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, one of the most common ways to achieve a high score is to roll a friendly team who struggle to do anything but get sunk. It doesn't mean you don't deserve the high score, it's a feat to survive a match like that at all, but it is a sad fact about the game in general, that high scores often come from _having_ to do all the work, because nobody else can or will.
Little tip for Subs vs carriers. Don't ping the boat, just flop the fish in the approximate right direction. As long as you don't ping and don't get spotted, no auto ASW
Ah yes, we all want subs to do better
@@entropy2100we just want subs to go after carriers and leave the rest of the battle alone.
I have seen games whete players have a kraken on each team, but both not on 1 team
Twin krackens... at least they split the load between them so their backs aren't injured carrying their entire team ^_^
That was impressive.
Hell of a match.
Great game and team play! Amazed at how this only amounted to 12,944XP for Red Assassin. WG really have nerfed battle performance based rewards hard snice the rework for flags. This would be 25K XP 12-months ago.
I rarely see close matches like that when I play anymore. Most are over in about 10 min. with the winning team losing at most 5 or 6 ships.
Well played
JIngles Have you thought about making guides for WoWs Operations?
3:10 in the morning, yeah ill watch it :)
Sometimes I feel bad that jingles never replies to my emails.
Then I watch this sort of thing and all becomes clear.
Watching on vacation in 144p because camping WiFi is shit
"decidedly average health pool" Meanwhile... Zao enters chat.
"Why nobody is playing cruisers anymore?"
*Meanwhile, WG keeps adding super high caliber BBs that can one shot you even from the front...
It's odd how all the submariners who abandon their flank to go kill a CV are always so bad at it. I've never seen it work once in a game or a replay.
Of course, both of these guys are both spending the next month at the chiropractor for carrying 10 other men between them.
3am and I need to goto sleep. 😂
He got more awards in that game than I have gotten total.
Very Entertaining!!!!
They're dead Jim, they're all dd.
Yes
So karkens all round and home in time for tea.
Great game, I will reluctantly have to admit the CV did a good job too...
His nick cuts just right, RED ASS :D
Anyone see the DD guy asking Malta for planes? Gave me a chuckle
Hell of a carry.
So... It's a medium cruiser?
No wonder the 4X / 3X div carried... that purple logo means this is a Hurricane League clan. And two seasons ago, there were only 13 of those, and one of them was 3X. I guess they decided that it was 4X's turn this last season.
I mean, if you want to talk "technically," Jingles, the Washington Naval Treaty definitions, upon which cruiser classifications are based, defines a light cruiser as having guns "up to 155mm." So, "technically," the Nevsky is akshully a heavy cruiser.
Wow what a game
Congratulations green team.
>Submarine took 8 HE hit from a warship
>Lose a little silver of HP
Good job, WG.
i do dislike cv division, but thats just on the enemy team. nice finish
The Nevsky actually is a heavy cruiser. The cutoff between light and heavy cruisers isn't 203mm guns, it's 160mm guns, technically making the Nevsky a heavy cruiser.
The Nevsky is a paradox in WoWS: It's a heavy cruiser by real-life standards but it's a light cruiser in game because it can't pen 32mm plating, but it can't pen 32mm plating because it has heavy cruiser 1/6 HE pen instead of lighht cruiser 1/5 HE pen. So in conclusion, it's a heavy cruiser that's classified as a light cruiser because it's treated as a heavy cruiser.
I thought the armament of a "light cruiser" was "up to 6 inches," and a "heavy cruiser's" was "up to 8 inches."
Luckily the thunderer, in typcial thunderer fashion, shoot HE at a broadsiding cruiser he could have smacked with AP so damn hard.
You say that battle was won by the skin of their teeth, but the carrier hadn’t actually taken any damage
Double Kraken Division !!!
