The Russian DDs have strategically placed 50mm plating. That means anywhere you'd pen with a Des Moines, you'd also pen with a light cruiser. Anywhere you'd shatter with a light cruiser, you'd also shatter with Des Moines HE.
I had to tell my clan mate about that when he died to a delny in clan battles. He was in annapolis, delny rushed and ate the full burst salvo dead centre, enough to end any dd except the Russians with that 50mm belt who instead took almost no damage. Of course delny and it's line can citadel most cruisers of thier own tier at brawling range while having torps to finish the job.
@@bip5240 basically, shoot AP at a broadside Zorky, it has enough armor where it will shatter 8in/203mm HE shells from the DM or smaller, while arming AP shells without causing over penetrations is what I got from the comments above.
I love how Jingles goes on for over a minute about the DM's 203mm guns prevent non-pens on 50mm DD's right after the first shot shatters on the plating

absolutely. ever since the carrier rework, its been downhill rapidly. i watch jingles as he is entertaining, but i quit playing WOW as its just mind numbingly frustrating.
Wasn't David Robinson (the NBA player) a former navy man who served on a submarine? I hate subs. I love David Robinson. Just couldn't help but notice the irony in this comment.
I have to wonder if 20-30 years ago Jingles could have imagined that he would be sitting here doing commentary on videos of pixel boats shooting each other and adding images of Eddie Hall at the end. Life takes strange courses it seems.

Disappointed that we didn't get a world famous amateur Jingles post-battle results screen, but I still got a good chuckle at the end there. Can't blame you for not wanting to screw around with computer arts and crafts on a hot day.

Oh, how I wish I could go back to 2019 WoWs... Where skill determined the strength of an aircraft carrier, submarines were assuredly never going to come to the game because of their game breaking potential, and superships were never even a topic of interest.

I’m recommending a fun game that was released quite a while ago “Sudden Strike 4” (all who read this, I recommend it to you guys as well) but it’s a ww2 RTS game and has many theatres such as the Pacific and Africa. Excellent World of Tanks battle! WoT player showed SKILL by hiding his tank behind a rock and punishing anyone silly enough to NOT hide behind a rock. Who said armored warfare was maneuver warfare!
Hate to defend the enemy Eagle but the main reason he did so much more damage than the battleships was because he was capable of thinking and breathing at the same time.
Geez, looking at the bunch of BBs and CLs cuddling and petting each other at B cap just fills my bag up with tons of salt in random battles. I mean come on, what the hell are you those guys doing??
@@simonthompson2963 Haven't experienced that yet, I tend to just keep my cool with annoying team behaviors or ignore the retarded ones, but some random games are just ridiculously crap that you can't help but give a bag of salt to everyone.
I have this one happen constantly meaning me and maybe one other ship are the only ones holding a flank because "YIPPEEEE!!" lemming trains. it generally ends badly for me because when it happens. I tend to be in Battleships...not cruisers
I used to love trolling battleships with my cleveland. I'd use he shells piss of the battleship guy get him to follow me. Keep camera on him so i can see when he shoots. And every shot out I'd zig zag. I had quick rudder shift and very good fire starting skills plus speed set fast. I'd zig zag so i could keep all my guns on him at 90 percent of the time and id burn em up. They used to get so mad at my fire ship.i had a good fire starting rate on it. Most would just turn off. Plus i could fire outside my range and theyd go right into it trying to follow me. The truly pissed off would follow and die.
This sounds like my play style on the atago and arp Takao, it's really fun being the ship kiting away without receiving damage but I know how it feels when it's the enemies that doing it to you instead of you doing it to them
There's not enough players in queue to start dividing up ships like that. You'd have certain ships waiting forever for a perfect match on the other team..
Did Jingles forget that Jean Bart like her sister Richelieu, has 380mm guns not 340mm. I don't think that 380mm guns can over match Des MOines bow armor either, but stand a better chance than 340mm shells.
I would like to see the Shinano (Yamato class carrier) Yes, there where 3 Yamato class ships =) EDIT = I also would like to see another Japanese carrier : The Taiho.
Special mention has to go out to the small island that blocked 25million damage...
