Old Hickory Shed Built On Site - Time Lapse

- In this shed construction project video, I sandwich real-time video clips at the beginning and the end of the first and second days of this, with time lapse video in between. By using this technique, you can watch the dizzyingly fast 6-hour construction process in a little more than 14 minutes! I added funky and rock music to the time lapse videos to enhance your experience and make it more fun to watch. Eventually, I intend on posting one or two real time videos of the shed construction; however, producing videos that are reasonable in length will take some time to produce. I hope you enjoy watching this video!
Background:
On March 11, 2021, we placed an order for 12’ x16’ Old Hickory Shed, lofted barn style from Redd’s Sheds located in Port Angeles, Washington. The shed had to be built on site because our backyard is entirely fenced in. Quin, the owner of Pacific NW Sheds and a subcontractor of Old Hickory Sheds, built our shed with a crew of three in just six hours over a two-day’s time on April 21-22. I recorded video of the entire process, with permission from all in advance, of course. The breakdown of the cost is provided below. All construction prices are up because of increased demand and increasing lumber costs. This project did cost more money than we had planned, but the end result was absolutely worth it!
Total Cost of Old Hickory Shed: $11,243.82
Old Hickory lofted barn shed, 12 ft. x 16 ft. plus options: $9,808.28
Gravel Pad (we installed ourselves): $627.18
Build on-site by Pacific NW Sheds: $808.36
Prep and paint exterior of shed: TBD

good looking shed but no trimmer/jack studs on window headers on a load bearing wall

Today, Diane and I finished painting our shed with Sherwin-Williams oil- based primer. It took us three days. I wanted to hire a contractor, but none were available. Anyway, I’ve been recording some video of our prep and painting experience. Just know that it is a lot of tedious work.

Also, I recommend that you watch the crew and building process very carefully, but politely. They are good at what they do, but they are in a hurry to get to the next job. As a result, mistakes and shortcuts happen. We reported some issues to Redd’s Sheds and days later, Quinn came out and fixed most of the problems, and he explained why the other concerns were not mistakes but a normal construction process. Still, there was some sloppy work some of which we have fixed ourselves.

Thank you for your replies! (I've been offline for a couple days, so sorry for delay in responding.) I think I searched for "Old Hickory sheds onsite build" and found your channel. I tried to view the unlisted video via the link above, but as you suggested, it won't play for me if it's private. Of course I am very interested in seeing the issues you experienced in order to know what to pay attention to. I now have a scheduled build date of this Friday!
What’s the height of the sidewalls and highest point. ?
7' & 8' Tall Walls Measured on Outside. 12' height from bottom of skids to roof peak. Thanks for watching!
What is the average price on site build ? Looking for like a 12 x20 lofted pretty much what your doing there thanks

I hear you... Looks like they are in town, so quite possibly some government restrictions.
Feel like u should have rejected the trusses the quality were so bad and look at any other material that didn’t meet the standard .
