    Hey john. Great idea and congratulations with your success. It’s great to see you are giving back to the community by sharing a simple business plan that can profit well. I honestly had chills watching your video where you were at Home Depot scoping out the sheds because I literally did the same thing and built my own shed which was much stronger. I’m looking forward to receiving your videos.

    I live in the Miami, FL area. It seems that you need a permit to install a shed in just about every precinct down here. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, it doesn't seem like a viable easy business to start here unless you're set up with or as a contractor.

      Lumber has increased for all builders. Selling prices have gone up proportionally so the result has actually made us in the business even more profit. I have never been busier over the past few years. There is a saying “If you think you can’t or you think you can, your are absolutely right.

    are you adding labor to material costs. so the 1754 is your labor cost which you call profit. What about costs like fuel, phones, trucks, insurance, data charges. is this all free.

      I am showing the gross profit from a shed build. The shed is a product that once built can produce a profit from 50% up to 70%. Of course running a business has a built in set of expenses that will be paid from the gross profits from the sheds you build. The key in making a good living is being able to build them super fast in one day and that’s what my Shed Academy course teaches. www.shedbusiness.com

    • @hudsonsoul1121

      Not impossible, but probably a simple small shed. I made a 6x4 apex in 5 hours and l made a 7x5 pent in 3 1/2 hours. However l am a carpenter but currently make sheds in a joinery shop.

    • @MikeS-lf9bp
      @MikeS-lf9bp 2 роки тому +1

      I have done it. If all the materials are there and its a simple build, and no tools break, if you do it right and only handle everything once, yes. easily can be done. But its a fast pace. It took me several years to get to that point working with another company. I will say that a CAD program or buying blueprints is really the only way to have this accomplished. Or i guess you could draw them but my point is all angles, cuts have to be figured out prior to the build day. So technically its not only a day if you draw the prints before hand. But there are a few tricks of the trade that I have learned and I do not mind sharing either.

    • @hudsonsoul1121
      @hudsonsoul1121 2 роки тому

      It's worth investing in a roofing calculator if the angles are troublesome for some, but they are many easy ways to work roofs out quickly.

      600 profit

    • @shedbusiness
      @shedbusiness  2 роки тому +1

      I said a 60% profit margin means that you will make $600 for every $1000 of sales. With that calculation if you sell an 8x12 shed for $2900 your profit would be $1740.

Since I posted this video I’ve had over 300 people sign up for my Shed Academy course so something is working. I think it works because although it’s not pretty the message has a bunch of value.
