Amazing work, as always. Always really inspirational to watch your videos. How much reference do you use for your scultping and how much do you sculpt "as you feel it"?
Question for anyone part of the Patron. Are there basically full video's showing this video in full and their other works? It says "Real-time videos" on there so I'm going to assume so, just want to make sure. Never paid for Patron or Twitch or anything similar in my life. Edit: For those wondering, yes, yes you do get full video's on how they are done. So much better to follow. The only thing that's missing from what I can see initially is not knowing the types of addons being used if any. I'm pretty new so the whole interface is alien.

Hi, thank you! With a basic sculpt like this, I don't need too much poly, since I don't focus on detailed sculpting of bumps or wrinkles on the skin. So I'm not facing any performance issues. In case I need to make the model as detailed as possible, which means very high poly count, the model needs to be split into several parts and limited the poly count less than 100mil to avoid computer lag or crashes.

@@big_sis_moon Not negative, I'm just pushing the artist! Since when does a man's opinion have to be negative? Good creature design consists of films like John Carpenters The Thing, The Cave, The Relic, or Relic. Nothing wrong with that and being a fan of good creature design! Not sure when artists became so plush... when I was in college I learned the most when my professor's were harsh, I reinforced my study time and buckled down! Now everyone is afraid to speak their minds... on every SM platform people just deliver cup cakes (High Praise) .. I'm not one of them, instead I'll try to encourage through whatever means. This artist, CAN do better and They will. :)
@@rietzhu criticiam is fine, but a compliment is nice too. FlyCat lools like he put a lot of effort into it, and it shows and I feel like that deserves acknowledgement. I get that criticism helps you learn, I study game art too, I do get it, but you're on UA-cam, not Artstation, some people just want to feel good about their art sometimes. Tbf I get no attention on Artstation, so I can only assume that that's what ppl do in the comments😫
@@big_sis_moon You shouldn't need other's to feel good about your own art, if you like it, it's good enough. Besides everything else, this artist doesn't appreciate crit or a rough push forward, must have everything figured out and they're cups full, can't even be bothered to reply. 🤷 @ Pizza: take it easy man, believe in your own art and just work on you, your fans will come so long as you push forward and persevere!

Hi. I always use Blender for sculpting. I'm using a tablet and pen connected to the computer.
I see... Seems hard with mouse to sculpting,... But anyway the tutorials itself is kinda confusing,... 🤔
It's not too difficult. I used to sculpt and draw with the mouse. But the tablet helps speed up the sculpting.

You mean a humanoid with a Tail! My friend used to say, if you're monsters look 2 human, than they are. Push the envelope and think outside the box!
I think it looks good. There is definitely a time and place for humanoid creatures and this one was well executed. Remember to not be too negative! :D
