A neighbor gave me vintage oak dresser and I refinished it using paint, wood stain, and a little bit of work.

Let me know how much you think I should sell it for!
On vacation every single day because you love your occupation. Is the best!😄 And btw you look like a completely different person from when I first started following you🤔lol
At least $300
@@Dezdamoonbear lol yeah. I've kinda transformed like the furniture I work on... except... maybe opposite. This hair thing is just a phase. My wife hates it. She wont allow it much longer.
Ask $400! Remember, people will generally ask if what is $marked is ur 'best' price...U might then respond with 'yes' or...u might then ask the inquirer:
"What is ur offer?"
This is 'like' an heirloom piece due 2 it's composition & flawless finish; it will stand the 'test of time.' 👋
That turned out beautiful! And I really love how the stain turned out on the top! The color is also a great choice. Now it is a piece that can be used by anyone.
As someone that also repurposes furniture, I really appreciated the details you gave on each step. You conveyed them in a way that gives the “how” with the “why.”
My guess is that it will sell from $300-400. It ultimately depends on your market. Nice furniture in my area, (rural Nashville,) goes for that much.
Umm…wow! As a woodworker, I don’t like the idea of painting wood in general. But the white with the stain over it, getting into the cracks and crevices looks amazing! Well done!
Thanks! I try to do enough for painters and wood workers to meet on some middle ground at least lol. Appreciate the comment. Have a great week!
One good thing about painting is it protects the wood, and later can usually be removed. I have an antique oak dresser, solid wood. It came to me painted, later I added another coat. Finally I decided to strip it. Turned out to have 5 separate colors, and in truth I could not get more than half the paints off. However it actually looks really cool, and I just ended up burnishing it with a very fine grit paper. I found some pulls that are kind of a watercolor style that have 2 of the colors and it is very dramatic.
Came out great . At first I was like why is he staining over a perfect paint job on the base . But once it was done I loved it ! I may have updated the hardware but that’s just a personal preference
You did a great job repurposing this piece
The pre stain conditioner is a game changer. Once I used it I have never not used it again. It really makes the stain look so much better.
Looking forward to seeing all 6 of these makeovers. This one turned out great, the glazing elevated the entire design. Beautiful work!
Glad you are back this beautiful piece
You are so much more enjoyable to watch and listen to than those ol’ gals that talk with their hands and go on and on and on!!😂
Turned out really nice. Better than new.
Great to see you posting again- looking forward to seeing your new videos in a couple of weeks- cheers!
Gorgeous. Great instructions.
Hi Ryan, so nice to see you again. Thank you for the videos
Love that white,,warm,, beautiful piece
👏👏👏👏 I love this! I really love the painted furniture with the stained wood tops.
Thanks so much! 😊
I love your work. Repurposing ugly furniture into nice pieces. Great work!
Oh yes! Much better.
Changing a nice but boring, dated classic piece into one of your spectacular upgrades makes a HUGE difference! You are rapidly changing my mind about painted pieces! Definitely looking forward to your next few videos! Ask at least $400 for this, take nothing less than $350. You'd make a mint in California!
This came out great! You were the first refurbisher that I watched. Lost track of you for a bit. When I found you again, I didn't recognize you because you cut your hair. Keep up the good work.
Lovely! You updated a classic! Thanks for the tip on Minwax Lacquer in these cold temperatures!
Just be aware that if you apply lacquer in temps that are too cold, the finish will look hazy/white. Same with high humidity. It was 60F when I was applying. Water based poly would have worked too, just taken a bit longer since I'd have to load/unload/clean my sprayer which takes about 30 minutes total. Might as well use a can real quick and be done. :)
I have a '70's Thomasville credenza, Mediterranean style, fruitwood finish, pristine condition. If you lived near me I would have you paint the base, not the top, just to bring it out of the '70's.
I love watching you transform furniture. Keep up the great work.
I am loving those side panels after glazing, looks niceee. Turned out great Mr. Shabby :)
Thanks Mr Flippa.
yay, welcome back! :-)
Hey, thanks!
This piece turned out great. I have missed your videos. So glad you're back. BTW I think your hair is cute.

Really loved the final piece!!!
You did a BEAUTIFUL JOB!!!! I would LOVE this piece for my Grandsons Bedroom, along with a Matching Dresser and Bed!!!!
This is just for anyone out there wondering if spray shellac is difficult to use, no it is super easy! I used it to seal the interior of some dresser drawers to hold in the moth ball smell. They look terrific, and it did stop the smell.
Love it going to try this on 2 matching chest's of drawers
Georgeous!
This is the exact look I’m hoping for with a buffet I purchased at a thrift store several years ago. Overall it is in good shape and I think I can do it. Need to practice first. You did a fabulous job with this. I enjoy watching your videos very much. Take care.

My kind of painting just slap on some paint I'm very impatient I like your editing cause I don't have to forward when the cleaning process is going on by the way it looks awesome
Nice speaker 😉 I'm loving the man bun, don't let Sausage cut it 👍 That piece turned out great! I like it when you strip the top and just stain the wood, the penetration was a bonus 🤭🤣
I actually had this Identical dresser!! Loved it at first, but the oak got old looking! FYI there are other pieces that match this, one a cool vanity with a marble top
Good to know!
