I like it too but I think I’ll stick to the standard string for $240! 😳
Over $400 for the Stihl attachment

Amen brother! That’s an awesome way to be a blessing others. Especially in times like these when extra money is so hard to come by. Being able to help others just by making normal purchases is brilliant.
Thanks for a straight forward honest review, with “in action” footage
Good Morning Mr. Pete & Thank You for the feedback on the Well, you’re on it Sir…..👏🙏🙏🙏
I just ordered this and a Darwin grip yesterday, birthday goodies for myself.
Thank you for helping those in need, great is your reward!
Hey Pete!! I have only been following you on Y T for a very short time. I don't miss a single video. It must be a God thing but I feel like I have known you forever. You are a good man Pete and I appreciate all that you do. As a brother in Christ, your video's have encouraged me spiritually and as a homeowner you have inspired me and given me some wonderful ideas as well as motivating me to get off my lazy butt and to go outside and get some fresh air, sunshine and exercise more often and work in my yard which has caused me to lose some weight. Keep up the great work!!!😊 May God Richly Bless you and your family and your business my friend.
That thing is definitely awesome and is extremely useful but it's also an investment. Well done Pete!👊🏼
Watching from Easley, SC. Awesome attachment my friend. Been looking for something like this. Thanks for the videos. Also enjoy hearing you lift up God in the process. Praying for you, your family and Ministries. God bless ya my brother in Jesus.
I picked this exact head up before mowing season started last year, and I have gotten to where I only use it for edging. I mow tall (3.5"+) and trim mostly against barriers rather than above sidewalks. I find a string does a MUCH better job trimming against something like a tall landscape edge, slab, or fence. If most of my trimming was edging against sidewalks, I wouldn't have ever gone back to the string head. I did toss out my edger attachment in favor of this, though, it REALLY shines when edging. I also use it to run a small bevel against the sidewalk edge to ease the visual lines on that grass/concrete transition.
Hey Pete, been in the lawncare business for about 6 months now. Your channel got me really interested in the industry as a whole. Hope I can find a bossman like you one of these days. The company I work for now is run by profiteers and is a nightmare to work for [10+ year old equipment, no set work schedule, having us PUSH 25k+ properties...]
You need to leave that one quick push mowing that is ridiculous
Start your own LawnCare business!
$254? That's insane. That's almost the cost of a whole trimmer.
It is a pretty awesome head, but I'm glad I got mine before the prices spiked. I paid right at $200, and would honestly do it again as clean as this thing edges. Also, it is built like a tank, and should outlast me so long as I clean and lubricate it regularly.
I like mine.
@@Isaacmantx the problem I have is this has to be marked up at least 3x the cost to make it.
@@Isaacmantx what brand is the trimmer head
That's a ridiculous price for what it does.
Looks neat and for sure useful in some sports, but I think about all the chain link fences that would get caught in the scissors. As some have said, not a replacements for a string trimmer, but for sure very cool in certain scenarios.
I showed your video to my wife and we are behind what your doing 100% brother. We added the smile.Amazon page to the homepage of our phones and will be making personal and business purchases through it from now on. We are firm believers in Mathew 25:40. God has saved our bacon and blessed us above and beyond many times. We have enough to get by, but God is constantly giving us opportunities like this to bless others using the resources He has already given us. It’s awesome man!
Good morning and good review Pete
Nice video. How would it cut heavy grass, thicket and over growth around a wood line? Last, I appreciate your assistance for others in times of need and crisis. God smiles on people like you!!!
Those shots!!! Man it’s like I’m laying on your lawn!!!
This looks like it would be great on trimming back ornamental grasses/ground covers as well
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
Your charity is the only reason I continue to use Amazon.
Dig it. My only fear would be tearing up my concrete sidewalks or damaging the metal blades when edging. Ill stick to my cheap replaceable string method. Otherwise as usual, another excellent informative video.
Hey Pete, I guess I jumped the gun when I asked you last week if you've tried the power rotary scissors. I sure love mine and another thing I've found useful is the Darwin Grip 5.0 which attaches to the shaft and gives a little more leverage and easier on the back. You keep making videos and I'll keep watching.
This bad boy starts to get really heavy real quick. And my Echo 230 seemed like it was straining. Paired it with the M18 Milwaukee trimmer and it's been golden. Also make sure to oil it periodically with some EP-O grease. Great tool 👍
Wooo, man, you have to have a steady hand with that thing.
I like your spirit! I'll use the link for Amazon shopping. Is it only for that weedeater head, or does it work for any item, I might purchase through that link?
Am shocked u didn't have one already..I would love to have one in my tool chest but can't justify its cost for my 5000 sq ft yard.
Hey Pete. Have a great day
I have been using the rotory scissors for 2 years and just absolutely love it. It is important to disassemble to clean and sharpen about twice a year. This tool has cut my trimming time down considerably. There is still a need for the line trimmer against wire fencing.
Yep that chain link is a no go with this head
I love my rotary scissors. They work great for getting low cut turf, but the best part is not flinging rocks, sticks or grass! No more painful shin injuries if you're trimming in shorts. Whatever you're cutting just falls right over.
Hey Pete, good demo. I’ve owned mine for a year. I personally don’t use it as an edger. Strictly trimming. Amazing tool and if your not sure it’s worth it, at least try someone’s before your final decision. It is not a quiet attachment. Strongly recommend Bluetooth headphones.
Great video. Love the French drain daylights to the neighbors tho lol
I was using NWTF (turkey) but I have switched to Team Jaxx. I have the scissors and love it, an additional tool in the lawn arsenal.
We appreciate you friend
This is what we used on the golf course to cut the the vertical and horizontal cuts on the sand traps/bunkers!
Pretty cool attachment but it’s pretty expensive. Much respect for making donations to needy families.
I enjoyed the vid and the install most of all, the charitable reason and what your doing iwith the funds is a noble gesture.👍 I think this item will pay for itself in the long run. I normally do handyman work technically I'm not a landscaper, but I've done some landscaping. This definitely facilitates the task of having to constantly replace the plastic strand again and again. However, The cost reflects its value, I would have felt more comfortable at $90-$150 bucks $240-255 is a bit steep. For me anyways considering I personally don't do enough lawns to justify the cost. It's definitely worth it though if your landscaping all day, everyday, it would make more sence to make the purchase. Thx again 👍
Nice to see different invitations etc being tested ........but I think the old fashioned trim line is still the best and here's my problems with the scissors.
#1.Burning trim/scalping.
#2.Getting the grass to lift up.
#3.damage fencing, custom edging/sprinkler heads etc, underground fencing for pets lights and you will likely destroy or severely damage them but string line is alot more forgiving and is unlikely to destroy anything like I mentioned.
Then the maintenance for greasing and sharpening but I'm super curious about how it would handle tall wet ditches where the grass is thick.
I just had an idea while watching this video. Pete somehow on your GCI website when we are buying product put a box in if people would like to donate to Team Jaxx when purchasing from you where we could do that as well. That would be cool.
Praise God. Well said brother. 🙏🏼
We have recipricators made by Redmax for edging golf course bunkers. That's a very nice attachment.
Great info thanks👍
I would line one of those because I hate seeing string laying around on my lawn.
But they are so expensive.
That can hook up to your EGO trimmer or stick edger if the correct model.
I imagine the added weight of the unit over string head would really wear out the arms and back after a long day
That’s a cool attachment for your weedeater
Just here to say God bless you and love you brother. 🙏🏾
Love you as well sir! It absolutely makes my day every time I read your comments.
Nice, effective tool. I think that’s designed for open areas, light brush and edging. It will tear up a tree if you hit the tree. Cutting around a pole like that might damage the tool as well as the pole. With trees, you don’t want to damage the bark on the tree with it, or as you know, you’ll kill the tree. Trees won’t live long without their bark.
Two more nice things are, you don’t have to constantly replace string line and have all the plastic string line pieces getting into the environment, two more pluses. 👍🏼
What battery powered system would you recommend using with this attachment?
What about the cracks in your driveway and your walkway and everything? How is that gonna work with? That doesn’t work very good though.
It sounds like an interesting option. I have to cut through grasses that are in some areas over 6 ft tall and 1/8 in. stalks that burn up a lot of trimmer line. But when you have something that it's so expensive that they offer a monthly payment option it looks like it's a little too steep for me.
Thanks for sharing.
What is the weight compared the original trimmer head?
Pete if you order another one of these purchase it directly from Seago International in Hickory. They will not honor the warranty for units purchased from Amazon. Tell them you are a member of the Lawn Care Forum to get their discount.
If you are maintaining a golf course lawn you are missing out if you don’t own one of these to do your trimming.
Wow that video escalated VERY QUICKLY at the end lol
I have been thinking about one of thes this gs for a while, because my hope is that it cuts the grass like scissors instead of tearing the grass like a string trimmer. Maybe it could get rid of the white tipped torn edged grass loomk.
Would you let your crews use this over the stick edger? I can see using this to save time vs using a stick edger for edging and string trimmer for weed eating.
I have one and it's awesome!!!
1:56 turn down volume. Maybe it’s my car. Not sure. Lol. Love you brotha!
The best thing about it is how quiet it is
I have the Redmax reciprocator, I found it used for $300.00 a while back and it was barely used. I think the guy has a second one he is selling, I'm going to have to see if it's still listed.
Wonderful tool. Wonder how well it works on heaver weeds. For folks that live on a farm . Or, would work well in a garden, for weeding ? This grass demo is to soft for a real test for the price . Show weeding a road side of different types of weeds. Just curious to see how it goes.
Its good for areas that has rocks since it doesn't throw them
But what will it do in three foot tall grass and weeds?
God Bless you sir!
$250. The edges looked so polished and professional. Could you show how to sharpen and care for the blades?
My friend do you shipped to florida i want some Kentucky blue plz 🙏
Does anyone make an attachment like that but with a wheel so you use the trimmer as a stick edger?
I started watching this video but the audio was bad. I could hear the machine but couldn't hear your narrative. It looked interesting.
We use those on golf courses all the the time. That’s how we trim the bunker faces
Leaves way too many clipping but it is cool . Still like my gator line / Echo trimmer . I am looking to buy a battery weed eater though .
I like the idea. But not for $250+. That’s absurd. That tool shouldn’t be more than $75
I was hoping it wasn't that expensive. Yahweh knows just how much I hate broken trimmer lines, and having to fill that silly receptacle where the line is wound up. But, your video indicated that it would be really slow to create the edging between the grass and sidewalk. I got to be able to walk at normal speed and get it done. I'll keep my eye out though. Looks like I'm going to have to deal with the silly red trimmer lines for a while longer.
One place that would not work is on a chain link fence. It would be trying to cut the fence
Pete grease it! Just ordered some seed from GCI got a Darwin’s Grip and a edgit pro ordering one of these now!
What about rocks when edging?
If you have large weeds get a weed warrior for your trimmer..not one with plastic blades but one with metal blades
It rocks
Good morning Pete
How do you sharpen once it quits cutting ❓ Cost is to pricy 👎
Very nice
I got one of those and it didn’t cut anything lol. And it made the weed eater heavy
Eventually ill be grabbing one but its going to be awhile to stomach that price tag.
Is this like a brush cutter? How expensive?
If you're cutting heavy brush and saplings, ok. But if it's just grass in the yard, use a string trimmer.!
Put that bad boy on an Ego combo kit and man it’s the coolest lawn tool I own 😝
I plan to do this

You will love it Mr Pete 👍🏼
@@GCITurf what brand is the trimmer head
Brother Pete, I always love a good rotary scissor review. But man, about made my ears bleed when you went from low talking to firing those scissors up 😩👂🏻🩸
Sorry bro I’ve had audio issues lately and I am trying to get it all worked out
@@GCITurf no worries, Pete! Keep up the great work!
It really cuts great but 240 dollars is rough to fork out I think I'll wait a while till the price comes down
This thing is too cool. I'd be in trouble with it I'd have all my wife's flowers and bushes cut down. 🙉
Does it have adaptors for ryobi?
I have a kid that trims my lawn for a soda pop 🥤
If only I could afford one of these.
They work awesome, noticed you didn't mention thr ppe. They are quite noisy, which Is what most people comment on.
Like clippers for hair , but for grass 😮
Yea....I want one!!!!!
I love mine bro.
Branch trimmer too

Looks like it takes longer to do the same thing string does. Think I'll stick to the old fashioned way.
Same as a hedge cutter. 292.59 usd is the price now
These are awesome but good Lord the price tag is unfortunate
Nice 👍🏽
How about on Cattails?
I guess that's how some trimmers last forever. That thing has a easy life compared to what I cut . That attachment would double my trimming time. Glad you like it though.
Till your motor wears out in 5 hours. Just use triangle line lol. It takes 5 seconds to trim around a pole with no lawsuits for metal shavings.
