- RuPaul is a singer, songwriter, model, actor, TV host -- but probably nothing describes him better then the word "Sensation." He burst onto the scene in the 1990's and told us all "You better work!" Dressed in High Fashion Glam, he broke down barriers for Drag performers and became a household name. With a message of "Love one another", he has recorded with music legends Martha Wash, Diana Ross and Elton John, and has even appeared in both Brady Bunch Movies! On this episode of InnerVIEWS, our conversation with "Supermodel of the World," RuPaul.

I am a heterosexual woman in her mid-thirties and RuPaul speaks to me just as much as to a young gay man who is struggling with society's and his own acceptance! It takes intelligence, wisdom, kindness and experience to be able to be so broad in your communication! I always liked him but now he is owning a special place in my personal Pantheon!

The most brilliant interviewer I have ever seen! I am an Asian Muslim mother of two, and RuPaul is a huge inspiration to me. She speaks truth and wisdom. I really appreciate that. I think he would make a better presidential candidate than Trump!

RuPaul is intelligent and has wisdom, dump is a badly behaved and educated toddler.
RuPauls philosophy on life is inspiring to say the least. As the saying goes he's an "old soul". What I wouldn't give to be able to sit down with him and absorb all of that wisdom.
Ru's words sound almost like a shaman's, he has so much experience and wisdom.

this guy is a great interviewer, excellent questions. miles ahead of most network bobbleheads that have a national platform and ask the most asinine questions. i wish you luck ernie for a larger platform.

Wonderful. I have to say this is truly the first time I felt that someone interviewed RuPaul and helped us see him as not only the amazing master that he is of "drag", but also of his own life journey. Erick Querci Very true! It was such a pleasant and informative interview. Seeing that it took place in 2011 I wish I would have seen this six years ago lol it would have definitely opened up my eyes to how I viewed life.

Rupaul is such a beautiful person. Just an otherworldly entity of warm, calm, positive and all-knowing confident energy. I could listen to him talk all day.

When I was 4 I wanted to be Rupaul. 20 years later I still do!
Great man!!!, meet him before at Christopher street while he was heading to work at KTU. Gave me great advice to always love myself, be safe, u can always do better, Blessings. Never forgot it, glad he became successful. May God continue to bless him,,,

I don’t know who this fellow is but he’s a great interviewer! I really enjoyed his questions and how he was able to bring out RuPauls story telling and they both were relaxed and felt very natural together!

Who does not love Rupaul, he is so grounded and interesting. There are some people that shine a light with their knowledge and work on this Earth and help many over come their fears and help turn them into triumphs.

This was one of Rupaul's more cerebral interviews. And when he mentioned the timeline when he was turning 40, my ears perked up, because I am attempting to absorb every piece of wisdom for this milestone. Thank you, Rupaul, for continuing to inspire me to be my fearless self, and loving myself. You will always have a place in my heart for teaching me these lessons more than 20 years ago.
Love, Love, Love you Ru! And yes, I totally agree with you. I've read 'Brave New World' and I've read Orwell's '1984'. It's scary but true we live in a world where fear-mongering is rampant. Thank you Ru for continuing to push the envelope and encouraging the younger generation to be themselves, no matter what! :-)

Ru has clearly studied, and is practicing his spirituality. He often mentions Eckhart Tolle, but also speaks with phrases from many other contemporary spiritual teachers, such as Louise Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Abraham Hicks, Rhonda Burn and others. Bless him.
