I have always been amazed by her ability to interact with strangers in the audience and turn what ever is said into something funny. I think she is brilliant, and down to earth in a way most people can relate to.
I love her material lately, addressing the problems with our rampant addiction to screens and the flood of flaws in the American education system. She's a very important voice to heed.
The mind of Paula is so quick and insightful. Its filled with so much thought and cleverness. A person with a wit that is so good, that she stands up with the great comics no longer with us. Sure she like her male and female counter parts have had ups and downs, but she has paid her dues and repented. Have loved her for decades, and laughed with and cried with her. I have had my problems, and like paula overcame them. Keep us laughing Paula, we need it now more then ever.
GREAT interview! Loved the interviewer and loved how freely Paula talked. I've always been a fan of Paula Poundstone and was crushed when her comedy show got cancelled. I was thrilled to see her specials and love going back to rewatch them now on UA-cam. Thank you, Paula, for bringing your quirky sense of humour to my world. You always make me shake my head and giggle. And, at times, I burst right out loud! :)
She reminds me of Rodney Dangerfield...she is a true comic genious...no profanity n she is hysterical....I think she is the best comic alive today ..she rocks!!! The best there is!!
I see this is an old interview. I saw Paula live many years ago, and she was awesome. She was smart, edgy in a way that takes a second to hit you, which I love, and uses content that is relatable to everyone. She has a unique style. Hope she is doing well today. I'll look for more recent information, unless someone sees this and wants to share what they know 😊
Just out of curiosity is Paula gay ? She's quite aware of others and uses everyone in the crowed and I remember her from Vegas she seemed to have at least two people in the audience that were planted for her routines, busted my gut laughing... She's really cool...
Love you, PP. Funny how relatively recent this interview was, but how obsolete the question of parenting while having to travel sounds. Unlikely that many male comics are asked this question.
Love it when men who try to be smart have to give their 2 cents about a situation they have never been in. Paula subtly lets the dude know sorry, not gonna trash Sara Palin. "She could have come to the podium with a piece of paper." Ernie is clueless and asks kinda dumb questions. Fan of Paulas, not a fan of Ernies.
folks! to get assaultet by an angry teenager fosterkid that didnt get its way is not a fakt at all! She didnt loose her kids and wasnt convicted, but it endet her career for shure! I dont believe it 4 a minute !
ua-cam.com/video/5XQZk06NreI/v-deo.html, and the guy just ignores the thought, too busy to push out the next question. Tad sad. Were not there a bit more charismatic guy to interview.. To me, She's in the top ten of comics of all time. The sweetest comedian, that ever walked the earth..Urtype of a good human.
@@kumada84 Ah, I just went over the spot a view times, and, have a look, the cam ist still on her face, when he starts asking the question.. Anyway, would be the same thing, someone thought her statement not interesting enough, to pick it up..
I’d like to hear Paula Poundstone, but the interviewer is far too grating. I really couldn’t stand to listen to him, so I switched this off after less than a minute.
Their was a foster mommy dearest scandal surrounding her a few years back. I can't remember the details but all the rest unfolded after. Sad, because she was extraordinary.
@@charityclark7910 you have to wonder why such a talented comic all of a sudden lost her popularity & demand. Was any of it true, I'd bet the farm it was not. The elephant will be in the room as long as everybody pretends it not there though.
I just don't understand why you can't understand that life is complicated and none of us are perfect...and possibly celebrate her for her talents instead of bringing up a terrible thing that may (or may not) have happened. Did she ever make you laugh? She did for me...many times. We women could really do more for each other, IMHO. Are you perfect, ma'am? (I'm certainly not)
@@charityclark7910 that's just it!! We don't get to see her as much as we should because lying smear.. most of the time I have to watch old stuff. It's just not fair.
@@corineusa1454 but you brought it up, so you will be the reason it won't go away. Rumors die when ppl stop talking about it. But! Here's a fresh one, thanks to you. Are you happy?
It’s a play on words! Most people here got it! ‘Inner views’ is a fine description. If you wish, keep thinking it should be ‘interviews,’ and you will have totally missed the point here.
I love how quick she is. She always hits the nail on the head.

I'm 39 and I have been a HUGE fan of Paula since I first saw her on a special around 1989. I just thought she was so funny, even at a young age.

I *TOTALLY AGREE!!!!*
I have been enjoying you for a lot of years, thank you!

I just love her.
I love this woman
A cool, genuine lady.
Genuine 100%
Love her.

great artist!
Omg! I love this woman!!! She is the funniest woman around! And consistently funny! Her HBO show….holy crap can still make me wet my pants laughing!
very genuine funny lady
She is a genius
First time I saw Paula Poundstone was on a free VHS comedy video given away by Poptarts
I just watched that one. Someone uploaded it here on UA-cam.
HA HA! That's awesome!
Somehow, that suits her material - not that it should be free or that it's valueless but I could see her doing a bit about that very fact!

oh Ernie.
Volume is an issue.
Good humor lady
There is no way to turn the volume up. The only way I can understand what is said is to turn the closed captions on.
Can't hear it; more volume please!
I cannot hear it. It is very low.
She's great. And I usually don't like female comedians. She seems like a real person to me. Funny just being herself.
Normalize the audio.
what year was this interview?
I think he said 2010 at the end of the intro.

I think her funniest skit was getting pulled over by a cop after she ate white powdered donut gems
I think she is funnier than anyone.
PS...THE SOUND IS AWFUL...PLEASE FIX IT!!!
It's strange to hear about her early times .. Travelling by bus on a 50 dollar monthly ticket.

Innerviews' ! ! ! Can someone here not spell properly ? Its 'interviews'.
* it's. Also there is no space between the "Y" of "properly" and the question mark. InnerVIEWS is spelt correctly.
