- This is the infamous "French episode" of Password Plus from December 23, 1980, in its entirety.
Originally from a copy of Tom Kennedys, I spliced it together from several posted clips and filled in a missing gap with another clip.

Out of all the renditions of Password, Password Plus was by far the best!!
Considering Super Password was basically the same with the addition of Cashword, I tend to agree.
And it also had the best theme song of all the Passwords, too!
RIP, Tom Kennedy.
And this is even better, as this is the studio master. So you get some stuff not seen on the episode as it aired.

Maybe it would have worked on Blockbusters. 😁 That show was on weekdays on NBC at the time as well.
They should have just packed up and gone to Wheel of Fortune. Chuck Woolery would have been happy to see them.
@@feudfan55 There was a few special episodes of Wheel once where a celebrity played for someone in the audience. Tom Kennedy was in one of them.

19:20 Hilarious moment in game show history. Funniest clue/answer during this clip... for “head” Betty White gives the clue “pate” ... contestant responds “chopped liver” (thinking Betty White meant to say pateé). Very funny.
I'm pretty sure this is where the Supernatural episode got the title from "The French Mistake", in reference to this game show's episode.

So....... What happened to Tom(the contestant)? From before Alphabetics. They were going to give him another chance, but then he never came back.
I think he came back on later. Probably didnt want him facing the same person twice in a row.
I believe he was back a few weeks later
They usually bring back contestants on future taping dates so they don’t bump someone still waiting to get on the show that day
