Watching much of Allen Ludden game shows, his style and demeanor seems so smooth, even in the most awkward of moments. One thing for sure, those NeoSylte boutique 89 glasses fit him well. Betty was majorly hurt when he passed away. Outstanding gentleman gone way too soon!

I noticed that right off too. We did NOT have high def then, but this is AMAZING. There are some others too. Liz Montgomerey is wearing a Karkusa type pattern that really pops out in another episode. I don't understand how some TV movies from this era are so blury yet a daily gameshow is preserved showing such clairity.
Game shows back then were recorded on high quality professional tape, and TV movies were generally filmed on very sharp 35mm film. You're just at the random mercy of the UA-cam upload. If it's from a home VHS job it'll look like garbage no matter what the source. This episode is obviously from something higher quality than VHS.

The music is brash, the set garish, and the pace faster. A reflection of the times. The 1970s seemed obsessed with yellow, orange and brown colors.
