I was at this concert in Milwaukee with my daughter. It was hard at times watching Michael ... He just didn't look well. We had seen him with his band 2 years earlier in Chicago where he told stories and was very vibrant ... What a difference 2 years can make ... We miss you Michael ...

It hurts to see the once young and vibrant Mike Nesmith unable to hold his guitar and barely energetic to be standing there helping with the backing vocals, just weeks before his demise, what a brave guy !!!
I was 12 years old when I'M A BELIEVER was released. In my youth I was an All Star basketball and baseball player. In my late teens and early 20s I dated hot, slim, good looking girls. Now I'm 68, with a bad back, right knee arthritis and ED due to prostrate cancer. Got a fat, old wife with white hair. It sucks getting old....but consider the alternative.
Time can heal but can also be cruel to us. But despite the aches, pains and illnesses etc, at least we're still kicking. Most of the time anyway. And so far...
I live in West Allis and have seen all 4 Monkees at Pop Fest Woky then 1986 The Wisconsin State Fair I saw the 3 and in 1994 saw Micky and Davy at the Milwaukee County Zoo ! Have not seen Mike and Micky preform alone without Davy and Peter but they sound great !
Hey I saw Micky and Davy at Zoo a la Carte in 94. And Monkees in 86 State Fair. They used video from that concert in their Heart and Soul VHS tape that Rhino put out.

How we appreciate the talents & abilities that God gave to each of the Monkees! They gave us much enjoyment through the years and now our 5 kids sing their songs and play their music as well. Wow! What a legacy . . . We pray that each of them has accepted Jesus as their Savior -- if so, we will certainly see them in Heaven for a reunion tour!

You have had your time in the seventies and on.I was young in the seventies and knew most of the groups at that time,We were blessed with much good music but also by fake groups like the Monkeys who did not play on their records but had studio musicians to play the instruments When it was revealed it became a major scandal. The four singers had to take music lessons to learn to play themselves but was never quite forgiven for the debacle.
