- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! Recently we were honored to have been asked to help set up for a local "home & garden" show. One particular vendor, who happens to watch this channel, asked for our assistance unloading and then loading some rather unusual pieces...TORNADO SHELTERS!!! Ethan helps me use our Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R rotator, heavy towing and recovery unit, to unload before the show. Then I fly solo to wrap up the show and load the shelters back onto a trailer, because Ethan is on a different job in our new Western Star 9055XL....Videos coming!!! Watch as we continue to receive God's blessings. There is much more to come!!! I hope you enjoy this video!!!
We have a difficult and dangerous job and we take it very seriously, that doesn't mean we can't have fun and enjoy our work. We strive to be polite, professional, efficient, and safe...and still can have fun. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Ron, i'm thinking we may need to call the new truck the "Ethan Star" so we don't get confuddled between that one and your dads western star lol
Western Star Jr.
EASTERN...ETHAN STAR. I see what you did there
well said, thumbs up
I second that idea!
Ethan Star is a wonderful Nickname for a Truck. XD Especially in this case.
The next time Ethan talks about "vertically challenged", remind him that good things come in small packages.
To which Ethan answers "Maybe so, but big packages don't wear out ladders nearly as fast."
Thank you from the crew at C & C Storm Shelter's have a Happy Easter 🐰🐰
Good morning!! I hope everyone has good day and wonderful Easter!!
Seems like yesterday Ethan was fishing with his friend and looking to drive and now he’s a grown man,I can’t believe how time flies so quickly!!!
I know you probably hear this alot but I'm in the southwest Missouri area and I have been watching the videos for a very long time and you are the reason that I became a tow truck operator
Its so wonderful seeing how much Ethan has grown into a a fricken tall feller! Haha, from the little youngster helpin out, to running it all. And its awesome being able to witness it over the years through video. 👌👌 Well done Ron and Ethan, as always stay safe out there fellas!
I needed this video sitting here waiting for my moms funeral services to start i needed a little bit of something to keeo my mind busy and your video helped
I'm so sorry about your loss. Sending my love and prayers for you.
Sorry for your loss
Sorry to hear about your mother friend. 🙏🙏 😢 stay positive.
Condolences to you and your family Stephen on the loss of your Mòm...😢
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family, and friends. May God comfort you in this time of mourning.
I’m glad I waited to watch the job before this one first! I knew as soon as I saw the title again it was the one you were talking about in the end of the most recent video!
Almost like Ethan knows exactly what you are going to ask for! He’s getting really smooth on those controls. 😊
I'm sure you hear this alot but I'm from southwest Missouri and you are the reason I became a tow truck operator
7:38 "I don't know why it's bucking so hard......We're on solid pavement." That's why. You were in a hard turn, scrubbing both drive axles against the steer axle. You were putting a huge load into your driveline that changed rapidly once the first buck cycle happened and the FADAC couldn't respond quickly enough.
Bump in and bump out are two of the busiest times for any convention, vendors jockeying for space close to the loading doors so they can get set up/packed up as soon as possible, bodies going every which way (venue staff, security, event staff/volunteers) forklifts running around (I know 'cause I drive one at a convention or two every year) trucks trying to get loaded up so they can head across the country to the next event being held the next weekend/unloading from the last one. This is (compared to what I'm used to) tame. not to say it's not a good job, which it is, well done Ron and Ethan
I am only 5 foot tall so I bring my son to the store with me for reaching things on the upper shelves. He is almost a foot taller than me with long arms. He is a blessing to me really. I love that Ethan has turned into such a helper to you. I have pretty much watched him grow up.
Ron, I’m not sure if you are a “small arms” dealer or just a T-Rex but you seem to make the most of what you are dealt with. Thanks for another great video.
8:08 "I really need that black trailer out of my way." You should have started singing "Give Me 40 Acres and I'll Turn This Rig Around".
It's the easiest way...
Well Ron you better tell Ethan to keep that new Western Star spitshine she is a beautiful baby❤
I built new houses and that gentleman is spot on. We put a storm shelter that was under the entryway of the home. We put 6" concrete "cap" over the entire thing which was a large "step" in the front of the house. Downstairs was a room the size of that "cap" with steel walls, and a 36" INSWING steel door. ALWAYS inswing so debris does not block it. 1 X 6" pipe extended up as an air intake and 1 X 6" opposite side for exhaust. That man knows exactly what he is talking about. The shelter would hold the weight of the house I believe
Great job Ron & Ethan. Sometimes jobs get u in some predicaments, but U adapt to the job at hand. God bless
Hey Ron I’m 14 and I just love watching your videos I try and learn about what you do I have always wanted to be a tow truck driver have an amazing day!
Happy Easter 🐰 🐣 to Ron and family and co-workers
Good morning Ron...! Thank you for another awesome video...! Happy Easter to You Your Family and Everyone watching this video...!
Another sussecessful job!!! GOD BLESS all !!!!!
I’ve had issues posting comments in iPad , this one comes from iPhone. Great job.
As always, great service with a smile 👍👍👍
Love the awesome story at the end Ron...! Thank you for sharing her thoughts and wonderful outcome in her time of need...!
"They call it vertically challenged." and he delivers it with a totally straight face! 🤣
It was great to see Ethan there. You guys did a great job. Very efficient! God Bless! It is so great to see father and son working together!
Hi Ron. Hope your beautiful family purchase one of these shelters. It would be awful to be trapped in your basement for hours. With the weather nowdays who knows what's going to happen next 🤷♀️. Stay safe see you on the next one 😊
Great job, guys. I really would have loved to see the Western Star. I liked the new camera view.
Was hoping for a video with the new truck but watching Ethan run the TATOR is a good alternative. Hope we get to see the Walmart job but understand if the driver is going to cause that to not be an option. Thanks for many years of outstanding entertainment and education been watching you for almost 6 years now and the TATOR and you seem to be a match made in heaven. Can not wait to see both 50 tons on a rollover together
Another job well done.
Stay safe Ron and crew.
Great video Ron, as usual. Can't wait to see the new Western Star in action. I know you mentioned that you've been using the new beast quite a bit, I'm sure the footage will be up soon. After all these years following along on YT, It was such a pleasant experience to finally see it and the Tator in person at the shop. Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy schedule to make that possible. I'm grateful to have finally met you and Talon as well. Maybe next time I'm in your neck of the woods, we'll get to meet Ethan and the rest of the Midwest family. I'll have to bring my son OTR with me (he's a big fan of the Tator and all its lights).
May God protect and bless you sir, and the entire Midwest crew. Y'all stay safe out there!
- Andre
Nice worked. Liked the new camera angle looking down from the boom. Stay safe out there 🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Respekt ! So ein großes Fahrzeug so feinfühlig steuern auf kleinster Fläche, dazu gehört schon was !
Oh man I'm never this early. Love your videos Ron. Love Ethan's new truck. I've been watching for so very long
So sorry about your mom sending prayers to your family from Tennessee
Short, sweet and to the point. Good job Ethan 👍
Ron you truly are the right person for any job
Yes, They really looked like nice people. Nice relaxed video to start the weekend.
Good all round job there.....Stay safe and see you on the next one....Hows the new Western Star doing???... God bless you all
LOVE that Bomb Cam..... Thanks..😮😊
Job well done.
Will we see that Walmart job? Sounds interesting.
Thank you for another great video. Cheers
Loved the video Ron last week i had a first hand experience on how dangerous your job is. My T680 broke down on the interstate and it made me so nervous when he gad to crawl underneath to disconnect the drive shaft. God bless you all and keep safe and have a wonderful Easter
Ron. Always the best. Happy Easter to you, your family and crew He has risen. He has risen indeed.
Great teamwork.
Now I want to see the Wal-Mart job. :D
Hopefully everybody did good with the severe weather in the area!
It sure is nice to have a Sasquatch on the team isn't it? 😂
21:40 Biggest thing I remember was that oversized load Transformer that needed slid over at that power substation a couple years ago. Then there was that culvert that you had to help your crane operator buddy place. You were both floating if I remember. Hardest pull was probably that gravel truck that got stuck to the frame right next to somebody's trailer.
Thank you for the amazing video! I love seeing you do these miscellaneous jobs helping the community. Also, I did not realize how much I loved the boom cam!
Amazing!! BRAVO!!
Now that was fun and cool thanks 👍👍👍😊
Great video Ron
We could have used a bunch of those shelters a week or two ago. Had 2 tornadoes go thru close to where I live
Contact C & C Storm Shelter's we will get you a shelter number is in the video Thank You So Much!!
I wonder why these weren't on pallets. A fork lift, or even a telehandler would've been a lot cheaper to rent even if they didn't have one on site; which I'd suspect this sort of venue would already have.
Outstanding job by Ethan operating the rotator in the first part and of course outstanding job by Ron in the second part. I really enjoy watching Father and Son work so well together. I agree with another comment that the NEW Western Star should be called "Ethan Star", then you would have the Rotator and the Ethan Star. STAY SAFE OUT THERE.
Thanks Much Ron.
I guess that Ramp is to steep for a Pallet jack or Fork truck ??
Good Morning There My Good Big Bro Ron Pratt Sir Yes I Am Still Praying For You All Of You're Whole Family & Staff & Everyone Else
Hello Ron from Columbus Ohio
Ooh do we get to see the Walmart episode? 😁
Great job Midwest truck stay safe 44:59
Thank you so much for the video please post more videos a week and god bless ❤️
I believe everybody needs a tornado shelter whether they can afford it or not but there comes affordability part❤
Thanks for the video Ron and happy Easter
I'm glad the boomcam is back but the kinda video I was looking for
Love that the boy got out and provided cellular comms for our Ron, Good job Ethan, way to use your head.
Go bless and Happy Easter.
"They call it vertically challenged" love it Ethan! 😂😂😂😂
Being short isn't the curse - being tall is. You have to reach all of the stuff the shorties can't reach AND you're always whacking your head on stuff!
😂😂😂😂😂
@jimstruve3602 haha at 6ft3 myself I totally agree 😆
@@jimstruve3602definitely! Being as I say it, 5’-21”, I duck a lot and hit things occasionally…door closers, exit signs, ceiling fans (it going one direction hurts much more than the other), and even a roof in high school that required two stitches!
Im vertically challenged
cool job
Ethan, it's funny how big RAM is putting letters on new trucks just because we all still call it a dodge.
Great move of shelters. As time goes on, I think more & more people are going to be looking in to these Tornado Shelters in their homes.
Ty Ron for such an intriguing & intresting video. I m not 100% clear on what the one guy was talking about with the storm shelters about building you a porch & putting a shelter on an enclosed porch in your basement? We have had some VERY close calls like in '95
Making a totally enclosed concrete shelter under a porch a rectangle concrete box under your concrete pouch with entry door
@@clintonbailey3762 thank you for cleaning up what he was talking about I appreciate it
Hey @RonPratt, I feel your pain with the whole buckin' truck thing! My old Freightshaker Classic would take a mind to do that once in a while...usually when someone was watching and critiquing my backing abilities... THANKS, big truck... 🤪
It would have been nice to see a drone view of Ron maneuvering that rig into position!
ha ha Outhouse disguised as tornado shelter good one😂😂😂😂
Happy Easter to the family and crew at Midwest
Good morning from New Hampshire
Ride your clutch a little with brakes on it will take the grabbiness of the clutch away. Just lightly slip the clutch dont burn it it will help with the jerkiness
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
good morning also from eastern south dakota
This channel is sooo awesome!!
I'm tall but hitting the head a few times is bad. We went to restaurant in Florida and the sign said watch out for your step, it should have said watch out for your head. Cause that is what happened to me, almost knocked me out and saw stars. I have helped many people who can't get items off a tall shelve. So it's not always great to be tall.
definitely! Being as I say it, 5’-21”, I duck a lot and hit things occasionally…door jambs and closers, exit signs, ceiling fans (it going one direction hurts much more than the other), and even a roof in high school that required two stitches!
Ron and Ethan complement each pther, at least in reach :)
Well donw.
I knew you could do it Ron!!
Summer getaway. Lol
"its 2-3am in the morning i think i'll go watch ron.." yup so very legit!!!
Makes it so much easier having a spotter in ethan via phone in the first video. Hopefully ethan will take after you mate and video his code responses in his new rig. Stay safe brother and keep doing what you do. P.S i volunteer to drive the new Western Star if i am ever allowed to work for you @RonPratt
Ron that PTO is getting ready to give out You better have someone take a look at it or get it changed I don't want that going out on you in the middle of a job but it don't sound healthy at all! That PTO pump sounds wicked mad
Smarty pants, "Can you get in?" Sounds like me! OTOH - "We need a new hot tub." Why, does all the water overflow when Ethan gets in? Gotcha! PS: People who live in glass houses, etc, etc.
Nice and easy job. great job as always. hope you had a great Easter and not to busy. have a great day.
Had an old Mack CF firetruck that loved the hoppy hop, sometimes a little blip of the throttle would stop the bucking, just leaving the clutch right where it was.
Tall man!!! Ron, you had a step on the trailer versus no step on the ground. What was reason for bucking of the Tator?
The Tator doesn't like parking lots.
Just remember Ethan he taught you to eat with a spoon 😂
You should have asked for one of them as payment of your fee Ron 🙏
A very blessed Easter to all of you. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe. Thank you for being the helpers.
I was hoping to see the new western. Star. Put to work man
Great video. If my family and I lived in a 🌀🌪️ area this is 1 item we would've. B SAFE Sir

I love your videos it’s so cool to your perspective
