    Ron, Your dad raised a good son. His legacy lives on through you and your family. He is one proud man looking down on all of you. I lost my dad when I was 19, my brother at 32 and very sadly my daughter when she was only 24. I have learned the grieving process takes time, treat yourself well during this time. God bless you and your family. Lots of folks who follow the channel feel the loss as well. We never met your dad but we knew him. On this recovery a stong message is sent. The potential for serious injury or passing is just a moment away. That Avenger was really crushed, the impact must have been immense. I wish drivers would be more attentive than they are these days. I put a lot of miles on due to family issues and have had many close calls due to the inattentiveness of others. Riding motorcycles for decades has honed my awareness and I drive as if everyone is a potential threat. 360 vision, put it where they can't hurt you, and read the road environment has served me well. Be careful out there.

    I understand an older video.
    Your father taught you a lot, you will always be his son.
    It's all part of getting older.

    First, very sorry for your loss, many prayer's too you and your family. Second, with the right tools, what could be a nightmare recovery seems easy. Thank you for your video's, watching them reminds me when I owned several wreckers way back, though not the fancy ones of today (30 years ago).

Patient care regardless of ability to pay, free rides to and from hospitals for parents/ guardians and free room and food for them. If you would rather me not do this just tell me. I was a Shriners Kid back in the early 70's. They may not have had the transportation, food, and accommodations then. I remember my parents driving me to Shriners in St. Louis. We stayed in a Holiday Inn everytime and ate at KFC 🍗 . I have great memories of being at Shriners.
      (Naturally, a few uncomfortable moments. Overall, it was great)

    Oh boy, what a mess. No need to put those two cars in the crusher. They're already done.
    Amazing there were no serious injuries. A job well done, Ron. That side puller is a nifty
    invention you came up with.

    • @DarkVoidIII
      @DarkVoidIII 3 роки тому +1

      About the only type of car compactor that would make those two any smaller would be a Predator car baler. A car crusher would just crush them to the "crush flat" limit, which those two vehicles are pretty much already at.

    • @handymansteve
      @handymansteve 2 роки тому

      no need for a crusher, just put those on the belt of a recycling shredder, watch them come out the other side in pieces the size of a soda can or smaller

    I hurt for a long time after my Dad passed in '09 and I still think of him often. It hurt me especially hard because I was the one that found him and felt nothing but cold flesh when I checked for a pulse. Take all the time off that you need, Ron. We will still be here when you return.
    Thank God there were no serious injuries. Stay safe and God bless.

Fortunately my brother had sent two of his boys that had not my side. I was going down they grabbed my arms and held me steady.

Every day you will see or remember something that makes you sad, or happy and you keep going knowing that you will see each other again someday.
    Keep the faith.

    It’s a miracle nobody was in that Avenger. Seeing how much damage it took from a rear end hit, if somebody was in the Avenger, I don’t think we’d all be watching this video. Sending my prayers to anyone in the vehicle that struck the stopped Avenger, hoping that they’re okay…….Ron, may the Lord be with you and your family during this time. Hearing you on the verge of tears on your last video had me a little misty eyed too. Stay safe out there!

      As a Tow operator myself, I agree with one exception, in this situation there was a steep embankment just off the shoulder with what looked to be water meaning there would have been nowhere for the people in the Avenger to move off the roadway to. The safest option in this scenario would have been to remain inside the vehicle until help arrived (which is obviously what happened here).

      I'm young and I'm not a fast driver! I'll usually go the speed limit or maybe 5 over. In most cases I'll pace traffic (when it's really busy) and go what ever they are, so I'm not impeding traffic. But I don't go dangerously fast

    This reminds me of an accident in my hometown. A lady wasn't in her right state of mind, and she accelerated within city limits to about 75 miles per hour and hit a four way intersection that included two or three side streets on top of the 4 legs.. Her vehicle was launched 150 feet. Surprisingly, nobody was killed.

    Sorry again for your loss Ron. I'll continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers especially when I pass your shop. 4 1/2 years ago I was driving home in one of my 87 Volvo 740's going 60 mph. It was a clear, sunny and cold day when out of nowhere I was rear-ended by an 07 Mazda 3. I was in the #3 lane and no vehicle traffic around me. Long story short I kept my Volvo, but the Mazda was totalled. A few months after the accidents the woman who hit me was a witness to a drug overdose that killed a young man. Like you Ron I'm a Believer and I know that the Lord and my departed loved ones were watching over me. After changing the bumper and taillight I still drive that same car!

You're the only one who knows how much time that is, and once you feel comfortable then yes come back to work but leave UA-cam behind initially only come back to the camera once you feel comfortable but don't rush it. I think Ron's policy is to not release the video untill the occupants are released from hospital. Where they are deceased, we will never see those videos. Minor injuries or have been discharged from hoapital to finish their recovery at home or as an outparient, pray and best wishes requested. All out of respect to the families invokved.

    Hey Ron. Hadn't watch you in a while, doing a little catching up here. My condolences about your dad even though that's a few months back ago now. Never easy, but glad you were able to take a little time off. This was one of the rougher incidents I've seen on the channel, glad that no major injuries came of it. When the officer said "see you next time"... although it's good for business, you have to wish for less "next times". Accidents do happen, best we can hope for is that any bodily harm is minimal and that everybody can get to where they need to be at the end of the day. You guys are so efficient at what you do and get traffic moving again quick as possible, I have to hand it to y'all for that.

    Really sorry for your loss Ron. It's obvious to anyone who follows your channel that you and your dad where very close, and you had a great deal of respect for him working on jobs together. Time is a great healer as the saying goes.

    Sorry for your loss Ronn, its been awhile since I've been on so I didn't know that your farther passed. I myself have been going through a hard time. My wife was recently diagnosed with Cancer and has been in and out of the hospital. I'm so afraid of losing her and am doing my best to stay strong but its very hard. I wish you and your family the very best and may God be with you at all times. Love the show.......

    Ron, condolences on the loss of your Dad and for recognizing him in this video. I take it you and your Dad had a healthy relationship. I'm very envious. I had a Father that beat up his wife and children, and I was forced to show affection for the monster I loathed.
    On a brighter side, I'm glad to have discovered your channel. It's always refreshing to watch a real leader in action. The minute you step out of the truck, you're like a field general, you observe the upmost safety for you and your crew, you assess and evaluate a strategy that has a high probability of success and jump into action. I just love the country way you assume control of the situation from the jump. I pray for yours and your crew's safety, continued success, and His highest blessings. You're the best, Ron, simply The Best.

    When I see an accident like this, I always wonder if the cause is "target-fixation", where the driver looks at the vehicle stopped on the side, and panics and then goes where he/she is looking, rather than the lane clear of the stopped vehicle.
