It's good to see you show respect to the flag the way you folded it. I hate to see people disrespect their flag, you are a true american hero. God bless you. Greetings from Norway.
Good decision to walk into the dead end first to check what you have. Not everyone can think ahead like this. I know SO many people who whould just drive in regardless if they block someone or something. And the "new" Truck and Trailer do really well! Nice to see a video featuring it shortly after the introduction.
When driving something big and difficult to maneuver, I always study every inch of where I'm going with it. I do that even with the van. (since Nissan put a squirrel bladder in it instead of a proper gas tank, I have to plan for a large-ish gas station every 200mi.)
Thank you Ron, for showing proper respect to the American Flag and helping to fold it correctly! You are an amazing example for good today! Thank you again!
I purchased one of those trailers, mine was a Trail King. You will love it. Out of a dozen trailers from 35ton through 75tons, that little trailer, over a ten year period out produced everything else we had dollar for dollar. It was the best transportation investment I ever made. It is really handy for delivering 200 class excavators and small dozers behind sidewalks. We also used it off road to deliver drill packages and self propelled drills into the woods shortened up. It is also the hot ticket for small asphalt milling machines. The hard rubber tires are tough on the deck. I hauled enough of them that we put wheel runs 24" wide out of 3/4 form ply and never had one go through the deck. Happy Motoring!
Thank you for showing your patriotism by helping to keep the American Flag safe, and folding it up right. I also hope that you are getting better and getting over the pneumonia. Also, I hope that you and yours have a safe and happy 4th of July. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
"I intended to show you this, but not necessarily in this fashion," is probably one of the best quotes I've heard on this channel over the years. Good job as always, and a great video to introduce this truck's jobs to us. Also, I can't help but think that unloading method is a dream for every kid or kid at heart.
That blind side was pure skill. I work for Amazon as a yard jockey and I'm in CDL school to get my class A. I passed my permit test. I just need to complete my skills test. I'm pretty confident though. My dad drove trucks for 36 years and taught me a lot. It just makes sense to me. As a former boy scout. That flag folding was beautiful. Thank you Ron for going out there and doing a difficult job for your community. Many people forget about our tow operators who clear the roads for us. Keep up the great work and stay safe sir. As always, God Bless!
Mater had it right.. you're the bestest backer upper in the world. You did what a lot of truckers would refuse to do, and probably couldn't. You slid the axles and backed that trailer around like a boss. You are better than you think you are. Strong arming the steering is wicked, and yes, I have done that too. No power steering pump in a car I had a long time ago. Builds up the muscles really quick. God bless you all, and take care of yourself.
Ron Pratt Since I have been watching your UA-cam channel. I have been very impressed by the way you show people respect and carry yourself honorably. Glad to see that they're still people out there that still know the old ways as to how to treat others regardless what may have transpired before you tow their vehicle. So thank you for your hard work and as you say stay safe when on the roads doing tows.
I can't believe how narrow all those roads are. Like driving in England. Then that tanker was backing up in between you and the other vehicles. Whew! I was on pins and needles. Great job. I loved seeing the newest tow in action.
Ron, I must tell You how professional and knowledgeable you are. You see every recovery 5 steps ahead, and plan for every contingency. You are one of the truest professionals I’ve ever seen. I’m watching this on July the 4th, and found it especially touching that you helped fold a Flag with care, while doing your Job. Thanks for being You, Ron. The world needs more People like You.
Thanks for the respect you showed to our flag. And be careful, recovering from pneumonia is bear, don't overdo things. You don't have to do it all by yourself. Advice from someone who learned the hard way.
God bless you Ron, you're a man that doesn't let much stand in your way and gets the job done! Hopefully your recovery from pneumonia is going smoothly! Stay safe!
As a retired firemen from Sebastopol, CA. Reminds me of a time when I had a pumper died on top of Mt. Tamalpais (an old radar Station on top of the hill) to where we had to have a tow truck bring it down from top of the Hill back to Sebastopol. Thank you for the video!!
Ron, you did an amazing job backing up your truck. My father can do the same thing as he was a trucker for many years before he met my mom. My dad can job any job and it impresses me, I just hope that I can be like him once we get everything sorted out for my disability.
Once again you amaze me, I wish I lived closer to you to support your business. Taking the time to fold the flag and you relationship with first responders. Much respect sir!!!
After seeing all the disrespect to our Nation's flag and monuments, watching you fold 'Ol Glory properly did this old veteran's heart good. Thanks and God Bless you and the USA.
Mike made it so much easier for you by walking on the rear corner so giving you a really clear mark to aim with. Did I hear Mike shout "Roll 'em" as he let the brakes off - if not he should have! Great team work in action
I had to smile when you mentioned walking into the "job-site" intentionally. I once walked a quarter mile along a one lane curving driveway to find out if I could turn a semi with a 44' drop-frame household trailer around in the yard. I would have been seriously jammed up if I hadn't walked in. I backed all that way in, around the curves, through the trees, and all. It was worth it. I loaded out the house and drove straight out to the highway with no problems. I wrote that first part right after your comment about walking. After watching your long trek to reach the fire truck it's obvious that you're well aware of that old adage, "when you're backing a trailer, slower is usually much quicker!" After 50+ years of holding a CDL, I don't know anyone I've ever worked with that could have done that better. Very nice job!
And I thank you for folding my great American flag That is a lost art on a lot of young of the generation They do not know how to fold our country's great flag Again my appreciations
hey just FYI I know you give the 3 air horn blasts for safety when backing and in this case it wasn't an issue but try not to at fire scenes. for the Firefighters its in grained in our heads that 3 long air horn blasts is the emergency evac signal. that means 'get out and get out right now' and them hearing yours may cause issues for the firefighting operations. love the vid be safe out there.
I'm a volunteer fireman and was thinking the same thing. I'm also a Conductor/Engineer for CSXT and whenever we make a reverse move it's three horn blasts.
That's the beauty of real people living in a real neighborhood, friendly and helpful as well as respectful to each other. I guess not all hopes are lost when you look at the MEDIA for the last months you think all is lost but now you watch Ron and how everyone around him help and chips in. Like the neighbor letting you use his property to turn around. Same way I would do it for any Trucker or anyone else for that matter who respects and is respectful of each other. I really love your videos. Been shared on Facebook too.
I still have faith in the grass-roots people of this country from ALL walks of like. They are far more than the media portrays. Thanks for watching and God bless.

I was so proud of you Ron, for folding the flag proper, I remembered how to do it from my Little League Baseball days. Not to disrespect our first responders but in all honesty I thought I would see it touch the ground or balled up or just layed across the fireman's arm but you prevented that Ron, Good Job.

God bless the fire company, and God bless you sir. It was wonderful to see the Patriotism and the words "In God we trust" on the tanker that passed you on the way out.
It’s actually really cool to see the view using your mirrors backing that tractor/trailer through there for those of us who never get to drive one of those.
On fire trucks open the lowest back compartment above the bumper. In this case the roll up w/ the "emergency dial 911" on it. The tow hooks are often at the front of that compartment. It saves space.
Hi Ron, I saw an alert on my phone this morning that I had a new video from you and couldn’t wait to see it...! For the last several days I’ve been on my computer typing into UA-cam “Ron Pratt’s newest videos” and the latest one that kept coming up was “Out on a limb” … Until today…! You mentioned in today's video that all your trucks were out… Man You must be a super busy guy…! Since I’ve been watching your videos, I’ve noticed you’re rubbing off on me… I was replacing a door frame and installing a new door and had to cut part of the initial house structure and had to surgically cut half of the old 2x4 with this special saw. It was taking me a long time, up on a ladder & considering the position but I just kept telling myself WHAT DOES RON SAY when he’s on the job . . .”Little bit by Little bit” gets the job done… and that got me through it… One of my goals now is I plan to watch ALL of your videos… You know you remind me of a surgeon with your rescue and recoveries. You use EXACT PRECISION to extract the damaged vehicles from each site. - - - Just Amazing to Watch - - - you’re like a Doctor using your vehicles with all the experience, tools, equipment and hooks to perform the job… It’s clear to me and I can see you definitely think way ahead. I’m taking it’s that good old job experience talking to you. Before rolling up on to the that actual job site, you park back out of the way until after you have assessed the situation. After that you know where you need to position your truck(s). Smart… Thinking about how you are and how you handle things… I was wondering if before you start to roll out to a job especially the dangerous ones… Do you say a little prayer? I was thinking you do, considering the dangers you're around… Having cancer twice myself, I know I have someone looking out… Lastly, I’m very happy to see you’re recovering from pneumonia…! I had a friend die from it. It sounds like you’re on your way to getting back to normal… My sister (RN Nurse) says it will be 6 months avg before you’re feeling normal… don’t push it too much… “Little by Little”. Awesome video today with you and Mike - “Dr. Ron” … Nice to see your new flat bed with those roll back wheels is coming in handy…! Can’t wait for the next video! Take care…! ps; What is the name of the song when you're driving to a job? Cool tune!
Ron wonderful video as always. Plus watching you brought back memories of when I used to mmove heavy equipment here in Texas, I drove a 2002 Mack with Landoll sliding axel trailer I miss working and plus I miss the Mack and trailer and yes I do have to agree about backing up with the axels slid forward it does present a small challenge, its like backing a full sie pick up with a short single axel trailer.
I wondered about that. I used to put 45 footers into tight docks. It was vastly easier to back with the axles all the way back. Me personally, it would have been worth it, after the tight jack, to power the axles back for the long straight back. Then move them forward again to pick up the FT. Just me. Every one has their own way. And I do indeed know about "Armstrong stearing" I doubt I could turn the old Transtar I drove in the 80's anymore. Thanks Ron.
I was always hopeless at backing until I learned the "secret", steer from the bottom of the steering wheel, left to go left, right to go right, makes it much easier.
A lot of traffic on a back road. Well once folk's know "Cool Man Ron" is on the job they will all be out watching. Great video Ron and God Bless you all. Stay safe from Covid - 19. Best regards from Sam in England.
And "Thankfully it had enough air in the system" ... that it didn't go thru the back of the shop... Just kidding guys, there's never any doubt with Ron and Mike on the job. Love watching you guys work. You make the sticky situations look easy. Gentleman, thank you for setting the example to our younger viewers just how to conduct yourselves on a job, You are always a model of professionalism and courtesy. Congrats on the new rig, she's a beautiful truck. Safe journeys.
Yes Ron I was thinking the same thing. I like how it sounds like your voice went high when you said that lol. You did a excellent job keep up the great work.
The ultimate driving test, backing this up for this distance. If you can do this, everything else is cake walk. I personally can’t back up for shit, the reason why I don’t drive trucks for a living. Hats off to you guys! Side note, that’s a bad ass water hauler, very nice truck, way cool!
As always, another outstanding video! I'm the guy who suggested a "white (dry-erase) board" to you, so you could diagram some of the considerations going through your noggin' about recovering vehicles or some of the obstacles that impact your decisions. Thank you for replying to my post! You mentioned that you are "not an artist" ... and I can identify with that! Here's another suggestion: see if your lovely and understanding bride, kids, or grandkids (you're probably too young to have those yet...but just you wait!) to make cut-outs of a flatbed and the rotator truck (with the rotator boom hinged by a brad, so you can show necessary rotation), using heavy construction paper or light/thin balsa wood, and thin magnets strategically placed to hold the cut-outs on the white board (which usually has metal in it). I would suggest two or three different colors for the rigs. My guess is that all the stuff you need you can probably find at a craft store (like Michaels or Hobby Lobby) at a very reasonable price. And the white board won't take up a lot of room ... unless you go nuts at the craft store! There you go, Ron! Instant artistry! And the cut-outs can be used again ... and again ... and again! And you get your family involved in your fortunes! [parenthetically, crazy ideas like this is how I got my masters, two PhD's, and MD!] God bless ya and your very understanding family, as always! And keep those videos coming! I learn something new with each one!
Thanks you for folding the flag means alot to Veterans THANK YOU for your PATRIOTISM! Happy 4th of July prayers and well wishes from my family to yours!

That back-up move sure takes some skill! Well done.
a good work done
hope you doing good
I purchased one of those trailers, mine was a Trail King.
Thank you for the respect you showed our flag in these trying times.
thats very great hun
hope you doing good
Thank you for showing your patriotism by helping to keep the American Flag safe, and folding it up right. I also hope that you are getting better and getting over the pneumonia. Also, I hope that you and yours have a safe and happy 4th of July. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Came here to say just that.
I appreciate that he went from holding it to folding without a second pause.
@@RAY30050 ya gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em
Showing respect for the flag makes me smile. Have a blessed and safe weekend. Happy 4th of July.
God bless America and the all the people of our great nation in these trying times
Was just going to make the same comment.way things are today seeing two men show respect to the flag was needed.Thankyou for that Ron.Have a Happy 4th
How great to have a man like Mike to help you Ron
Ron, I love how you are so respectful in everything you do. God bless
hello
hope you doing good
Mater had it right.. you're the bestest backer upper in the world.
Thank you for respecting our flag on a video lot of people don't know about that they should learn from this video.
Ron Pratt
Since I have been watching your UA-cam channel. I have been very impressed by the way you show people respect and carry yourself honorably. Glad to see that they're still people out there that still know the old ways as to how to treat others regardless what may have transpired before you tow their vehicle. So thank you for your hard work and as you say stay safe when on the roads doing tows.
You guys folding the flag made me smile and happy thanks for the hard work and the respect. GOD BLESS!!
I can't believe how narrow all those roads are. Like driving in England. Then that tanker was backing up in between you and the other vehicles. Whew! I was on pins and needles. Great job. I loved seeing the newest tow in action.
Removes our flag and properly folds it without thinking about it. One of the many reasons I love watching your videos. Thank you and god bless!
That was my favorite part!
Thank you for folding “ old glory” and not just rolling her into a ball .
Where I’m from, a idle car is stripped in 5 mins or less.!! Even a 🚒
Watching them being so careful and caring for the flag like that brought tears to my eyes. Thank you very much.
Stay safe!
Thank you Sir for the respect you have showed our flag!
Not even done the video yet, but knowing there is a Tow-Mator in the cab made my long night
You sir are a class act. If I ever need a tow in your neck of the woods I know who to cal. We need more people like you in this world.
You made reversing look so easy that i could do it. lol Also nice to Mike as well. Hope every one at midwest trucks is keeping well.
Two things.
1. Ron - Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang! You got skills backing that up! I would be all over the road and grass
2. Mike - Nuff said. Ultra pro!
Thank you Ron Pratt for all the great videos in these really tough times we are in.
Nice backing skills and flag folding. Prayers sent for continued healing.
Respect. Still people that Honor our flag so proud to be a American to see fellow Americans with respect.
Ron, you really amaze me! You always have the correct equipment for the job! Your team work with Mike and the fire department is superb! From a retired USAF senior NCO, thank you, thank you, for respecting the flag, the way you did and to the fireman, who took the time to take it off the truck! Take care of your self and be safe!
Folding the flag was a nice touch. It is nice that you have such a good relationship with your local first responders and police
I was so proud of you Ron, for folding the flag proper, I remembered how to do it from my Little League Baseball days. Not to disrespect our first responders but in all honesty I thought I would see it touch the ground or balled up or just layed across the fireman's arm but you prevented that Ron, Good Job.
Great Job Ron. EXCELLENT Respect to the FLAG ALSO God Bless you all and Stay Safe from a viewer in Oregon
hello
hope you doing good
Thats a beautiful truck and trailer. The best part of the whole video was folding our nations flag. God bless Ron and crew, be well.
Respect for your fellow man and the flag. Why I love you Ron, great work and god bless you, your family and all your friends and colleagues. Stay safe out there!
Ron your respect for the flag and this country is above and beyond watching you fold that flag brought a tear to my eye it’s people like you that make me love this country you’ve got a forever and avid viewer thank you for your patriotism
Awsome Job Ron & Mike. I hope you can get it fixed soon & back in service soon, sucks being a unit down. The traileze trailer did a good job. And you did a great job backing into the scene to get the broken down fire truck. As always gol bless you & everyone at Mid West Truck
Ron
I so glad to find videos. Thank you for your respect for flag. I am a truck driver and appreciate the perspective that give the viewers. Godly testimony is awesome.
That's a sick sounding air horn!! You need to replace it!!!!!! I know all about backing up long distances with a trailer.
Very impressive Ron. Total control at all times. Respect to your flag and country, from Essex England.
A good workout with the new truck! Thank you Ron & Mike :)
God bless the fire company, and God bless you sir. It was wonderful to see the Patriotism and the words "In God we trust" on the tanker that passed you on the way out.
Thankyou for the continued great work and sharing with us Ron: All the way from the sometimes sunny UK :)
hello
how are you doing
It’s actually really cool to see the view using your mirrors backing that tractor/trailer through there for those of us who never get to drive one of those.
On fire trucks open the lowest back compartment above the bumper. In this case the roll up w/ the "emergency dial 911" on it. The tow hooks are often at the front of that compartment. It saves space.
That's where they were in ours
Thanks Ron.
Thanks Ron, for taking us along for another fun filled video adventure!
I was always hopeless at backing until I learned the "secret", steer from the bottom of the steering wheel, left to go left, right to go right, makes it much easier.
"Driving the trailer" is how I've always heard it referred to as.
L
Never worked for me, I just do it enough that it became second nature and I don't even think about it.
David Mathay yup drive the trailer and the truck will follow
I back up steering the front end where I want the trailer to go. But that is me.
Being a Navy Veteran I cried a little when you helped fold Old Glory.
And you started the fold with the proper corner!
A lot of traffic on a back road. Well once folk's know "Cool Man Ron" is on the job they will all be out watching.
Great video Ron and God Bless you all. Stay safe from Covid - 19. Best regards from Sam in England.
i love coming back to odd videos like this, reminds of why i originally subscribed
That's some precision maneuvering!
of course hun
hope you doing good
And "Thankfully it had enough air in the system" ... that it didn't go thru the back of the shop...
Liked arm strong steering. First time I have heard that. Stay safe
FYI It's usually spelled Armstrong steering, as a pun on the last name of Armstrong, which is a relatively common name in the US.
@@lwilton I don't think so.
[parenthetically, crazy ideas like this is how I got my masters, two PhD's, and MD!]
God bless ya and your very understanding family, as always! And keep those videos coming! I learn something new with each one!
Good morning Ron fantastic job on recovering that fire engine luv your new low deck trailer it good to have for huge jobs like those.
All of that and still had time to respect the flag.
Priceless!
Great video Ron. Keep safe out there. Thank you for helping keeping the roads open.
#thumbsup
17:49 That amazing blue color on that truck. That's what I want my cars color to look like!
thats very beautiful hun
hope you doing good hun
Thanks you for folding the flag means alot to Veterans THANK YOU for your PATRIOTISM! Happy 4th of July prayers and well wishes from my family to yours!
Its nice to see someone show proper respect for the flag. That is a heck of a nice rig Ron.
Love how you took the time to hold and FOLD the flag 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Loved how you guys respected the flag by keeping it off of the ground and folding it properly
