Hi, I can't tell you about prices because I went to Turkey with an organization who took care of this (AFS), I learned Turkish by speaking with my classmates and my hostfamily (so without courses) and it took me a couple of months to be able to understand and get myself understood by others.. I am planning to move to Istanbul. Wanted to know if there are any tution fees? What are the subjects covered there and is it so important to learn the Turkish language?
Hi, I can't give you information on tuition fees, but maybe someone else can? I only did an exchange year, so I guess it was covered in the price I paid for the organization AFS. But yes it is very important to learn Turkish! Many people don't speak English, even in the younger generation, not everyone speaks it. Also, in general, I believe that if you move to a certain country it's important to adapt yourself to the culture and to learn the language. And even if in your university or high school they do speak English, you'll need the language to be able to understand what's going on around you on the streets, on the tv, to be able to speak to older generations or people who didn't have access to education with good English classes... So many reasons to learn Turkish ^^ I also made a video on how to learn Turkish and another on how to learn languages online in general, maybe you'll be able to learn it easier after watching those. Wishing you the best of luck!!

Hey! In which city will you study? And are you staying at a host family or how are you becoming a student in Turkey?
From my experience I'd say that a lot of people would be interested in getting to know you.. but if you have any struggles you can always ask the teacher to ask the students if someone wants to "take care of you" for the first days. Don't be afraid of asking for help to fellow students and don't be afraid of making silly mistakes :) those students will become your friends and I'm pretty sure you'll have an awesome time!
@@ClaraFrancken im studying in bolu. I'm not with a host family, my own family just moved to Turkey because we wanted to start a new life and I've been pretty nervous ever since we came here. I appreciate the advice you gave me in your comment, but if you don't mind me asking- did you already know Turkish before going to Turkey or did you just learn it as you went in school, and if so, how long did it take you to understand other Turks?
This is the thing I'm most nervous about, the language barrier :(
@@rya_. Hey Rya, I didn't know Turkish at all before coming to Turkey (I did some exercises on some applications but really disliked it so I didn't learn anything before coming). I actually also made a video on my channel about learning Turkish in Turkey and about learning languages at home, maybe one of these can help you out a bit already?
So I didn't have "Turkish class" but I was immersed by Turkish because I spoke it at home (host family) and with my friends (school). It took me at least 3 months to start to have a normal conversations, between 3 and 5 months I think I was really feeling the improvement, and after that I could have deeper conversations with friends :)

yes, tell me, what would you like to know? :)
@@ClaraFrancken thank you for your kindness 🖤 i want to know what is better for me to study the M.A. in turkey or in Germany ،i am from Yemen 🖤and i am 20
@@measserjb6327 no problem :) well due to the current political situation I'd choose Germany for university studies. But besides that it really differs from city to city rather than comparing both countries. What are the city options you have in both countries? :) (And you could also look at the international university ranking)
@@ClaraFrancken yes i know it's different but i was thinking about living in the both countries which one will be better for me to study and work at the same time .. some people told me that in turkey i can' find jop while in Germany, there is a lot of and so much support for students.
Thank you for your time 🖤
@@measserjb6327 Hi, I think you should go for the country which speaks the most to your heart... Which one are you more curious about, which culture interests you more...
If you'd like to go to both countries, I do think that you'll have a bigger chance at going on Erasmus to Turkey if you're a student in a German university rather than studying in Turkey for going on Erasmus in Turkey. But I wasn't a university student in Turkey so I can't fully compare both...
What do you study? :)
ill be going to a international school in turkey, just wondering is there arabs in the school or mostly turkish people.
The amand of Arabs probably depends on the school and on the city :)
In which year will you be entering class?
I might join this month, my question is, is it expensive to study in Turkey schools, and how long will it take me to learn the language in the school. And also do they teach in English as well??? Pls reply
Hi, I can't tell you about prices because I went to Turkey with an organization who took care of this (AFS), I learned Turkish by speaking with my classmates and my hostfamily (so without courses) and it took me a couple of months to be able to understand and get myself understood by others.. The English level was not so high in my highschool, but this depends from school to school
@@ClaraFrancken perfect
@@heheboi979 if you're interested in learning Turkish, I made a video about learning languages online (ua-cam.com/video/oS-VgzV76H0/v-deo.html) and also about learning Turkish in 7 steps (ua-cam.com/video/KWoNkZZH25U/v-deo.html)
As a girl taking the LGS in a day, yes they have English and teach it. But it's not very educational, my owh school's English teacher cant speak thet well and doesn't know what hes talking abt half the time, you gain an advantage in English (in turkey) so you don't need to study as much as other students in English. As for the price and fees etc, I don't know

So many reasons to learn Turkish ^^
I also made a video on how to learn Turkish and another on how to learn languages online in general, maybe you'll be able to learn it easier after watching those.
Wishing you the best of luck!!
Thanks so much for the info..
Güzel video eline sağlık
