as a native spanish speaker I was highly surprised to see German Garmendia appear on this video, I grew up with his videos and his dumb jokes had such a big impact on me, I'm actually writing this a day after the Esland awards and seeing German be granted the award for best trajectory, remember everything he had done even if to some it doesn't look like much, it's just amazing and very heart warming

i love how felix is comfortable talking with anthony because in interviews like this, felix is usually a bit awkward. when felix cusses, you know that he’s comfortable with you haha
I never appreciated how influential German was. With UA-cam being primarily dominated by English-speaking channels at the time, he really helped non-English speaking creators find their footing.
The English community probably doesn't know German, but he was huge in Latinoamérica, a legend. On his old chanel, everytime he uploaded a new video everyone would be talking about it, and on his new chanel he's doing pretty well as well
I don't watch Spanish UA-camrs (cos I don't understand it), but growing up I still knew who he was cos I was obsessed with UA-cam that time and he was extremely popular. So popular that even though I don't watch him, I knew about him.

German was so huge in Chile, we'd come back from school RUNNING on fridays to watch his videos and we'd hung out on saturdays to rewatch them together with friends... It was so cool, I was devastated when he stopped uploading every week.
My heart melts, it’s still so surreal I was actually growing up with these guys. Anthony outgrowing his emo-hair, Pewds outgrowing Italian sink in the background. All those memories, and today they became legends. I’m so happy I was still generation that was lucky enough to grow with these guys ❤️ PS: I learned English thanks to them, never could get it at school and these guys were my breakthrough. Now I talk in 3 different languages and understand 5 of them

To anyone who doesn't know Germán's country, he is from Chile, and here he has always been a huge star since the beggining and we are really proud of him, mosty because he is the biggest Chilean youtuber ever. It was great that someone from our country was also part of the amazing community of creators of UA-cam. He's a national treasure.
