Wait until your almost 21 watching all these UA-camrs grow and change as you do, and going through the things you are. Shit is weird, man.
James is 19 when we started making youtube videos, gonna feel weird when you become as old as him when he first started.
@Nugcon It was so weird, I started watching Vlogbrothers when I was 18 and now I'm 26 and Hank and John had always seemed like adults, like parents, while I was always either a child or a teenager, but now I'm almost the age that they were when they started making videos in 2007, and John said that when he and his wife had their first apartment in their early 20s "we were just kids" and I can see that now, in videos I watched of them when I was 18 and looked up to them like elders now they just seem like young people just like me. It's so weird it's doing something to my mind I don't like.
Yeah that's kind of how time works
It feels so nice to be able to hear someone vocalize what I grew up thinking about the LDS church and coming from James made it so much more important
It's funny because I grew up Mormon too, James and I are the same age, and I remember seeing one of his IRL videos (probably subscriber special) and seeing a picture hanging on the wall that was obviously Mormon and being like "omg no way" and at that age I was distancing myself from the church and almost looked down on James for it (I'd never do that now, ever, I was just young and bitter) so it's cool to hear him talk openly about it now
I'm so glad James is finally telling us how he got involved with the furry fandom.

24:23 , im going to assume it was oddballs 🐊
I'm happy James made the point about brainwashing because it's exactly that. It's literally how you're raised and whether or not you can look at it and say "is this what I want"?
Loved the first one with James, so excited to see more of him!
Came back to this interview after James announced his Netflix show!! Which I think was the big project he hinted at towards the end of the interview 🤔
i gotta love how you open these videos
I remember being so weirded out by furries a decade back, it almost always seemed like just this odd sexual kink to me as a kid.
But I think with James and Anthony, I've come to view them more positively. If someone told me they're a furry, I'd just go, "sounds expensive"
Let me put this like a coin,is just luck when you enter a place where are furries because you can enter a chat where are furries like the ones in that furry convention that nobody need to remember that are horrible and toxic and literally zoophi people and the others like me that just love being in the fursuits and draw furry knights (like me)
yeah, there are a lot of misconceptions about the fandom, so it was really nice to see them talking so openly and positively about it :)
Same here. Your comment also reminds me of high-school. Back then I dressed goth. I still love the style but eventually I had bills to pay and shit to do. It took too long to goth doll up and accessories and pants were expensive. Now it's just jeans, t-shirt, hair in pony tail, no time for makeup. Hell, I probably need to check expiration dates lol
Glad you changed so well, saying this now though for people who decide to look through, I'm a furry and asexual, which incase people don't know means I don't have sexual attractions.
Believe me, it is expensive

As someone who is also no longer mormon, i confidently say that mormons are either some of the best people or worst people. They are either some of the most accepting, friendly, and caring people, or are either the most judgemental, hateful, and prideful people. There is hardly an inbetween in my experience, so if you meet a mormon, hope they are more accepting/kind
As a member of the church, I can confirm that is true..
As a member, I agree. It sucks that people behave that way, but no matter where, who, or what religion, there is always gonna be sucky people *sigh*

If I’m being honest I had no idea what tone indicators were until this video! I’m neurodivergent and had never even heard the name of them. I know someone who regularly uses them but I have no idea what any of them mean! So seeing this in the video actually helped me understand it a lot more. I just thought they were typing random things to the end of their texts. I do like though that James apologized about his joke, I think that was a really important thing for him to do because I could see how frequent users of these indicators might get offended. Tone can be extremely hard to understand in text. Especially for NDs. So it doesn’t personally offend me, and I’m glad he apologized but I can kind of see other’s frustration too. Overall I really enjoyed this video though!!! I’ve been following James for awhile and i love seeing more into him as a person!
