Mother made these bans all the time. We would call them Rock Buns. They were delicious. Mom always had home made bread and buns in the house. I can not recall a day without tea buns available. She worked so hard cooking for family of 10.

Lucy Norman Thank you so much for your message, this was my first video we put up when we retired. Our son was videoing this one at his place and he was using two cameras. This recipe is so easy I make these any time I know we are having company, the sugar I use here was cane sugar but white is your usual the type you would use. Enjoy Bonita 🤗

Hi Bonita, my wife and I couldn't find my mother in law's tea bun recipe. We just tried yours and they were wonderful. We used white sugar, carnation milk and real butter, plus a touch of vanilla. I enjoy all your videos!

Loretta Burt thank you for your message and for visiting my channel, I was using a organic sugar cane sugar at that time. Usually I would use a white sugar to make my tea buns, but it don't matter what sugar you use the end result is the same. I hope that answers your question, thanks. Bonita

123fluffyg thank you for your message and visiting our channel, I have a recipe here for Lessie spiced cookies, it's pretty much called ginger snaps. This recipe is quick and easy to make and you can freeze your dough if you don't use it all. Enjoy Bonita

My tea buns didnt rise for some reason.

Mmm that's not good. Sometimes the baking powder could be to old or didn't work. But try it again and hopefully next time would be different. You can also make bigger tea buns, that could work too. :) Bonita
