He must be one of the sweetest guys I have seen on Botched so far. He is kind and doesn’t have any weird expectations.

If you haven't already, watch the one with Lee (the guy from Louisiana who also had a nasal deformity). Both of these guys have such gorgeous features and a kind demeanor.
Marcello was a handsome young man even before the surgery. His sister is beautiful as well. What a gorgeous family!
to me this is the right use of plastic surgery. glad he's happy. good he didn't expect perfection, just something more normal. these doctors are so talented, and so realistic with their patients.
This is actually the reason why plastic surgery developed- to help people, not to try to attach two watermelons on someone's chest.
After wwI there were many young men that, thanks to modern medicine, survived their injuries but were left severely disfigured. I mean missing parts of their faces.
Doctors tried to help them not to make them prettier but to make them look as normal as possible or at last make their faces more functional.
But the beginnings are way older, forehead flaps as the way to reconstruct noses were described 2500 years ago.
@@minka1781 Check out Harold Gillies as well as the "Tin Noses Shop." Dr. Lindsay Fitzharris wrote an amazing book about him called "The Facemaker." Highly recommend. To this day, plastic surgeons use the pedicle graft technique that Gillies developed at Sidcup over a century ago!

When I was Marcello's age, I had corrective plastic surgery, and I'd do it again if needed. It made a huge difference in my self-confidence.

This isn't vanity at all, it's just wanting to feel "normal", and kids can be cruel, so I'm so happy for him and his transformation - such a great kid and a wonderful support system. I would support my kids if they had something like this they wanted to have corrected. I love how the doctors are realistic, and they underpromise and over deliver.

he's adorable, it's understandable why he would feel insecure and as someone whose had a rhinoplasty I understand but your nose doesn't define who you are as a person and he was attractive before the surgery regardless and should still date but glad that he's happy now.

I used to have clients who would tell me that their surgeons would wait until AFTER the client had healed and was not happy with the result to tell them, "Oh, you're one of the 40% who doesn't get the feeling, range of motion, or reduction of pain" etc. I always thought that was pretty shitty. I have respect for Dr. Nassif telling this guy straight up that his situation could be made a lot worse, and what his chances are to have what he is hoping for or have it all go wrong. Also, this guy has a pretty good-sized nose and looking at him, I don't see why reducing the right side to match the left wasn't an option. He's got enough schnoz to do it it seems to me.

He seems really grounded. Just a normal person who just wants the one thing fixed without chasing a fountain of youth or some unrealistic expectations. He went into this with his eyes open and came out on top with an attitude of just wanting to move forward. He's pretty damned cool.

Marcelo is a good looking young man really. Beautiful smile and his nose certainly looks off but he’s still very handsome. Now that his nose has been corrected, he is breathtakingly handsome.
I love how honest Dr. Nassif is with his patients. Stating that he cannot promise perfection but he sure will try. Giving percentages of improvement as a goal makes sense. I wish all surgeons were like him.

This is so heartwarming to see. A thoroughly decent young man who suffered a horrific accident as a young child now having his nose rebuilt and along with it his confidence and quality of life. Such a handsome young guy and full of hope and positivity- he really is grateful and full is literally glowing!
Such a difference from the usual brain dead vain self obsessed loud nut jobs that are normally featured on this show who have gone out of their way to disfigure themselves with ridiculous procedures that make them look like freaks.

This is the case that we all need to see here and not those people who actually need Psychological therapy with there obsessions in body modification.
I am glad that he overcome all the bullying from his childhood and now feels confident and ready to face the world...I like what he said at the end that he will now worry about what normal people worry and not the scars he had before. A realistic way of seeing things. He is definitely a good person and deserves a new life.

The nose is so fragile and hard to correct once the original tissue is gone. That’s why you see so many patients turned away by nassif for further nose surgery’s. Only so much you can do

He certainly had a great recovery & outcome! Had a rhinoplasty in ‘73 @ age 25 & had deep blue/purple upper eyelid “eye shadow” for several weeks. Nose still looks good!

But why has he foundation/make up in the after? This makes it very hard to compare as the pink is gone from his cheeks and nose. Is he gonna wear make up for the rest of his life?
Dr. Nassif said maybe a 50% chance of improvement, so maybe he's comfortable wearing makeup.

Everyone that has facial surgery always seems to be wearing make up after. It just gives a better after photo. That being said, Dr. Nassif is an excellent surgeon and I love how he is realistic with the patients but also encouraging. Seems like a nice man.
Nose jobs tkaes up to one year to completly heal, the production don't have that much time.
