The kind of fun thing about FEV for story writing is that it's supposed to be a wacky golden age sci-fi virus that is unpredictable and creates everything unimaginable.

They should’ve added an option where you could take it to the brother hood and mass produce it, so all the super mutants you come across you could use some sort of syringer rifle ammo and turn them back into humans. Or like with the animal mods you have a cage and after a couple days you get a new settler.
For lore reasons, it only works on virgil because the version of FEV he used was spliced with his dna, so unless someone has a sample of their original dna they cant be helped
Now this would be a hell of a mod. Throw in some dialogue for the mutants that ate humans when they revert back and you’ve got a great personal existential horror story on your hands.

Vergil himself also states that the full effects of the fev haven't gone away, but have been greatly reduced. Between that and the probably advanced resource cost I honestly don't know how that could be implemented as a weapon or game mechanic against the mutants.
@@TheTruepanther it's fallout, they could implement a syringe ammo type which is a hyper aggressive for of the serum that completely eradicates the FEV cells within the super mutant based on the cure vigil created, but since it's such a hyper aggressive weapon it would be interesting if we had the option to hand the cure over to the institute or BOS and they create this new ammo type, seems within character for both factions
Why is there no "weponize virgil's serum to end the super mutant menace" plotline? Obviously it would ultimately not work, with the plot device of "most super mutants are too far gone" as an explanation so super mutants can still be a problem in future games...but that would still have been more interesting than 75% of the quests in FO4

Bethesda really just drops a cure for super mutants and the only real acknowledgement is a character going "thats nice," and it never comes back up again. That would be such a massive plotline in any sensible fallout story.
Not really. We know that the cure is on a time limit and that most Super mutant that ever will be turned already are. There’s not much you can do with that story this late in the timeline
This particular cure sample only works with Virgil's blood specifically. He admits it himself that it would take decades for a general FEV cure to be synthesised.

I would say no - because each treatment must be specificaly crafted for each person and then only if you had acces to pre mutated DNA - which means those already transofrmed are bonked because they have no access to their pre mutated dna - for them it is too late.

Y'know I've been wondering about something for a bit now. What would the BOS do with a serum like that? Would they actively go out and cure supermutants or would they hide it and continue killing them.
Why waste such a useful tool? They can have their scientists modify into an aerosol and use virtebirds to spray Supermutant camps from the air neutralizing as a threat. Or at least making them easier to deal with. Even if the now human super mutants still attack people they would be no different from ordinary raiders which are easier to kill.

The fact that he’s saying he’s “running out of time” means to me he’s talking about losing his mind to the virus and becoming more of a traditional super mutant. So I doubt that this cure would do anything for the mutants we see in the wasteland, maybe make them human but wouldn’t “bring them back”
That's the reason I always choose the Institute since Shawn left us as the new director we can guide the Institute scientists to be the real best hope for humanity, and the others faction you're just another soldier/spy for them and the minutemen are really weak tbh
My game glitched or something and Virgil wouldn't stop attacking me. I assumed he was essential on some level and couldn't die. So I went to knock him down and restart the animation and he ended up dying. I was so pissed off and I didn't have a save to go back to before it messed up on me.
I not only found a mod that made every named (non-merchant) NPC an available companion, but also found a mod that allows Dr. Li and Virgil to start a romance. (It includes Virgil getting indoctrinated into to brotherhood.)

I just did a playthrough where I convinced Madison to go back to the brotherhood but by the time I gave Virgil the serum I destroyed The institute while waiting for him. So after him turning back into human he told me to never visit him again

I hope they improve the voice acting and the english dialogue audio sync/text not showing. To be fair , Genshin had pretty much the same problems at launch and Tower of Fantasy was just a shitshow of a story with bad dialogue and acting. On a side note, am I the only one who feels like the male character’s VA is just plain better than most females. Idk why but most of the chicks just sound sleepy/slow/cold/ AI. Oh , and they should get better microphones to record the VA.

It doesn't work on other Super Mutants because Virgil literally explains that the serum only cures the specific strain of FEV that Virgil is infected with meaning that other Super Mutants have a different strain and Virgil's strain is just a special one.

That's the reason I always choose the Institute since Shawn left us as the new director we can guide the Institute scientists to be the real best hope for humanity, and the others faction you're just another soldier/spy for them and the minutemen are really weak tbh

I hope they improve the voice acting and the english dialogue audio sync/text not showing. To be fair , Genshin had pretty much the same problems at launch and Tower of Fantasy was just a shitshow of a story with bad dialogue and acting. On a side note, am I the only one who feels like the male character’s VA is just plain better than most females. Idk why but most of the chicks just sound sleepy/slow/cold/ AI. Oh , and they should get better microphones to record the VA.
But genshin kept getting money from.fans. this game already dried up so there will be zero improvements

Sure we can be very particular when it comes down to brass tacks and demand the “correct” and original “sneaked” from the late 1500s , but “Snuck” is accepted within the OED for a reason.
We don’t need to gate-keep the past tense of “sneak”.

It doesn't work on other Super Mutants because Virgil literally explains that the serum only cures the specific strain of FEV that Virgil is infected with meaning that other Super Mutants have a different strain and Virgil's strain is just a special one.
Maybe the ex-Enclave doctor's serum might work xD you might not like the result
