    I worked for the "Family stores" factory outlet, super circus, all owned by the order. I even dated a Kingston. That guy was the most emotionally stunted child adult. It was unbelievable what this family was like... Glad I RAN!

    Well, pressuring mothers to have a child a year definitely insures a cheap workforce and down the road, LOTS of people to tithe to the leaders. I love how articulate the guest is.

      Which is ridiculous. There's a lot of complications from getting pregnant less than a year after giving birth. Most obstetricians recommend waiting 18-24 months before conceiving again.

      A child every year is also a GREAT way to keep the woman physically weakened, too exhausted , marginally malnourished and mentally frazzled to rebel against the sicko, controlling “husband” she shares with multiple other women.

    I’m glad you are continuing this series with Amanda very interesting! Religion can really separate a family! My husband had a rocky relationship before we got married but when his dad refused to come to our wedding that was the last straw for my husband and he hasn’t spoken to him for 18 years! His dad is Muslim and I’m Methodist/Christian. He’s very disappointed in his children since no one has married
    /are involved with any Muslims. He disowned his daughter because she married a black man! It’s very sad that his religious beliefs has made him not have relationships with his 4 children!

    I find it so interesting that Amanda doesn’t call the other wives’ children her siblings! I have a half sister and I think of her the same as a “full” biological sister. It’s crazy to see how different the dynamic is between The Order and the “normal world”.

    Wow, that's so many mixed emotions for you as children in this situation have had to face! It is something that seems to become less hurtful with age and as you grow your own family as an adult, but as long as family is still in the cult it is a pain that doesn't seem to ever go away. My heart goes out to those who have to go through this.

    It was my birthday this week. I've been celebrating since Wednesday night. I got sick (food poisoning?) early morning on my actual birthday, so I rescheduled everything. My stepmom got me a fancy purse. My uncle got me a Target gift card. My mom got me a new vacuum sweeper. Lots of good food too. We treat birthdays big time. My computer was part of my gift this year too. Happy holidays you two.

    Thank you for explaining how the funding comes full circle, when you support eachothers business.. kind of like sponsoring a football team, the people in that team support the sponsoring business.
    I just can't get my head around the wives working and raising kids.. children coming home from school to work. Our kids couldn't wait to get home from school and invite a few friends around, squealing and laughing jumping all over the trampoline and the play equipment. It's such an interesting topic. Great conversation, very professional. I'm so sorry that a church/cult tore your families apart, such an un-godly act, for a godly institution?! I was raised Catholic, not 'traditionally' practicing, but wanted to share something that the father of our church told me when I was quite young..... He said 'the only true religion is that which is untouched by mankind.' this has stood with me throughout my life... I believe in kindness and love and being a decent human and I believe in a greater creation, but today men seem to rule the church/ cults.... To sit and think about this shows me that what he said is so true. I wish you all so much happiness and love and kindness. Keep safe 🌻💛

    I was born and raised as a Jehovah’s Witness and was the first to leave and I completely understand the shunning. People don’t understand how hard it is to leave, you loose everything, your family, friends, your community and the ‘’world’’ is terrifying as you’ve been brainwashed into fearing everyone. It’s quite a journey and you see alot going back because they feel guilty and lonely. Staying away and rebuilding yourself and your life is difficult but it becomes easier with time. It’s nice to know we are never alone, there is always someone out there going thru something similar.

  • @michellesunshinestar
    @michellesunshinestar 2 роки тому

    If I had children, I'd only have one. (I still don't know if my sister wants more than one child or not?) My sister is 4 and 1/2 years younger than me, and I think her pregnancy was hard (did she have an emergency C-section, I don't remember). I'm childless by choice. I'm a girl so I can't pass on the family name anyways, so it doesn't matter.

    • @panda5122

      Some people hyphenate the children's surnames, or make the child's middle name the mother's family name.

    • @Lemonade_Stand_
      @Lemonade_Stand_ 2 роки тому +2

      Just because one pregnancy was hard doesnt mean the rest will be. Having said that i completely respect that not everyone needs to have kids. In fact i wish we as society would stop asking people when they would have kids because it is such a personal question and it may not even necessarily be their choice to not have kids. Women are more than just birthing vessels.

    • @pamfink4052
      @pamfink4052 Рік тому

      Unfortunately in these groups the women don't have a choice. Birth control is not permitted and the women are expected to keep having kids until they reach menopause or they are deemed "unworthy" and sent away to live an isolated life and "repent", but that's a whole other video lol

    I wonder if you learned Street Epistemology if you could have conversations with your families and convince them of their actual situation. Watch Anthony Magnabosco’s UA-cam channel once or twice and see if it might work with polygamists. It’s a definite possibility. Maybe your mom can be reasoned with to leave. This is a pretty successful thing you can learn. They are training people right now to learn this method. I think it’s free.

    Is it easy to divorce in this group?

    • @pamfink4052
      @pamfink4052 Рік тому

      No, because after the first legal wife the others aren't legally married, they have no legal standing at all in the courts as far as child support, etc. They are basically concubines. However, the leadership can decide that a man isn't worthy of his wives and take them away from him, or the women can, in the eyes of leadership commit some "wrong" , have her kids taken away and be sent away to "repent" while living in isolation
