“I don’t think they had the intention to sell me a couch” NO **** SHERLOCK
This was my tio's favorite line haha 😂😂 R.I.P
Right!? Why do they hesitate to Call the police-non emergency # Just so someone else doesn't get set-up to be (insert horrible thing here) ya know
@@anb3rlyn Right. I would have asked the police to check the place out. It could have saved someone else's life.
HAHA!
Lol that's exactly what I said
Man... so many of these stories go just like #1. Free stuff, late at night, pitch black, sketchy place. It’s just not worth it, ever folks.
People that fall for this deserve what comes to them, it takes a new level of stupidity 😂
Free is never free.
"I didn't think about it too much"
People just forget the wise old advise of It's to good to be true
Well he needed those things and maybe thats the reason he went with it
"This guy I don't even know wanted to meet at night in the middle of nowhere - so I showed up anyway." *facepalm intensifies*
Lol I know
I guess those men wanted his crouch and organs lmao.
That’s why these stories come about is because of retards that happen to escape natural selection
No
And continues to go into a dark house and towards the basement 🤦🏼♀️
Story 2: not reporting the whole thing to the police was SO effed up! There might've been other people being held in that basement!
Agreed!
It's how serial criminals, (even rapists & murderers), get by for years, even decades before being caught; and some sadly never are.
If you're lucky enough to get away, think of the next potential victim.
Yep. A lot of serial killers have been caught because of the one would-be victim who escapes and gives the cops the first proper description they've ever had of the killer. Imagine how many more victims there would've been if the one who escaped was just like "I thought about calling the cops, but in the end, I didn't think it made much sense"
Lmao it's not real
@@rancidcrawfish Well, yeah it said *allegedly*
It's fake
FREE brand new couch never used? Pick up at 9pm in the middle of nowhere? Person can’t even open the door and show their face? Now they want you to go into a pitch black basement? It’s comical how he didn’t think any of this was a red flag until they asked him to go into the basement😂🤦♀️
With no lights on at that.
don't be silly.
you can't beat these deals. all else is irrelevant.
this idiot missed out on an amazing couch at an amazing price.
💯 agree 💯
It's natural selection at that point
Kayleigh, that person's lucky they didn't get knocked out upon entering the house! Yikes! 😬
@@goldengirl5165 Natural selection didn’t do its job on this one... 😭😬🤣
"I debated whether or not to call the cops and report the situation, but decided against it, as I figured there wasn't much they could do." Oh yeah, the most they could do is show up to the house and, you know, arrest the people. This is why these crimes go unnoticed.
Also what about his car? Lol... Did he just write it off as lost or what? Doesn't make sense
@@Mike-xq6ce IKR I thought about that after the video. I hate the fact that so many of the 'horror' stories online are so shitty now. I usually watch Mr. Nightmare, because his stories are usually at least believable. That one that he did about the guy going down into his crawlspace was really good. That one gave me a feeling that I haven't felt for a while that you only get through sensing actual fear. If it wasn't real, he needs to go into the horror media industry.
Video: ua-cam.com/video/Vvy66yWT-DY/v-deo.html
the funny part is he said “a time when not all cellphones had flashlights” bro marketplace was released in 2016, we had flashlights
@@babulu3715 LOL apparently those don't exist when you're scared.
Why, it's almost as if the whole story were complete bullshit...
The worst part about these stories is when the writer says “I don’t know if anyone was caught, I never heard back from the cops and I never checked back in with them” or “I didn’t think I had enough to go on so I didn’t call the cops” anything can be helpful! What you experienced might be helpful to the cops. They might be investigating and you might have info that can help!
Honestly, it makes them less realistic to me.
Yes!! Call the cops everytime no matter what! That drives me crazy too!
Yes always call the cops, but i just wanna mention the other day a drunk almost killed me on the road in the middle of the night on a narrow street.
The cops were like,
“so do u want us to go out there? orr?”
i was shocked.
YES BITCH. That driver is driving on the wrong side of the road swerving left and right like a maniac on a thin ass street!!
These stories are not real
Yeah, the fact these people in these stories usually make dumb decisions than using common sense makes them feel fake at times
Went to pick up a couch by yourself?....at night, in the middle of nowhere...🤦♂️
It's easy to see how people end up killed or missing.
Right that part!!!
Exactly!!! Some people are just not right in the head to think that is a wise decision.
He showed up in a Ford Fusion looking to pick up and move into his place, a couch with zero buddies… let that sink in.
(The type of car isn’t specifically mentioned, but it is mentioned he showed up in a CAR. With zero buddies to help)
The first guy: Shows up to a house in the middle of nowhere, past 9pm, hears guy tell him to open the door himself, with no lights on in the house, "Okay, NOW it's starting to get weird." Lol 😆
Sounds like my Friday night 😝
@ The Day Dreaming Owl, Good Point. I love your avatar and user name 🙂
Lol right smh
He clearly missed the first red flag: Getting told to come to a house after 9pm to grab a couch.🤦🏾♀️
@@sadetucker2094 right nothing good happens after dark
Beggars can’t be choosers. The poor man was offering you a couch for free, the least you could have done is go down into the creepy dark basement. Maybe he lost power right before hand.
LMAOOOO
🤣🤣
@@stephanie90734 plot twist: he's the one who was giving away the couch lol
Lost power and didn't tell the purchaser?!
😂😂😂Perfect😆
"IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!" is the first thought that comes to my mind with these stories, 2nd is: "COMMON SENSE ISN'T ALL THAT COMMON"!
Funny thing is that it ISN'T good. Working for things is the reason why they worth anything(does not need to be measured in money)
Suddenly the characters in horror stories who make dumb decisions makes a lot of sense doesn’t it?
Scary stories be like:me and my 2 year old son this guy said he selling toddlers clothes he asked to meet a Walmart at 5 so we did then he said meet up at Abandoned hose at 3 am he also said he had his friends over “ at this point I didn’t see anything wroung” so when we got their I told my son to go get them he never came back I wonder where he is????
😂
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 💀
That son was obito who use kamui and get away
Right! 💀
This is the second video I’ve watched from you. I’m honestly so surprised but how much I enjoy these narrations! Just absolutely great work man, just keep going.
Thanks! Glad you like em
@@ChillingScaresare you mr. nightmare
@@puddinbunsI was just on a thread on another video about this very thing. Mr. Nightmare has a Jersey accent.
Stories like these are why my husband takes his pistol with him when he goes to meet someone and rarely at a their house. I still don't understand why you wouldn't take a friend with you, especially to pick up furniture. You would need the help anyways.
Same here I never understand why people try to lone wolf it....use the buddy system.
I would never go alone especially being a female .
We got Facebook market place here in the uk, the one thing we don’t got is gun’s/pistol’s so kinda screwed 😂

OH YOU THINK?!
yeah cause it’s definitely normal for spike strips to be in the middle of the road😭🤦🏽♀️
Hahaha
What ever you do, do not report any sketchy occurrences to the police! You don't want them investigating and perhaps saving someone else's life!!

Facebook marketplace: Launched in 2016
Phone Flashlight: Launched in the 90s and 2000s
Yeah that makes me think the story isn’t real lol
Exactly!
I think he meant his phone didn't have a flashlight but he made a mistake.
That was my first thought too. Written by some kid who doesn't remember pre-marketplace facebook
@@glizzyglizzy3134even before it was standardized there were apps!
Honestly after he said he would meet him after 9 p.m. that's an automatic red flag
And nowhere location..😎
One of my older sons always buys, sells and trades heavy vehicle equipment On Facebook. I always try to warn him that there are freaks out there but he always says, “mom you worry too much”. He just worries me to death sometimes.
A qualified and resounding, "NO! I will NOT meet you at or after dark:thirty! In addition, I'll be bringing my 8 dogs and 4 football quarterback male roommates! See ya at 2pm!"

You’re the next Mr. Nightmare, lol. Love your videos.
HAHHA yes the 3 best scary story you tubers are 1. Mr.Nightmare 2.Chilling Scares 3. Night Time Spooks
100% agree 😊
I thought this was mr nightmare. 🤣
Lol 🤣
Facts
I think MrBallen, mrnightmare, chilling scares, etc. should coordinate their posting schedules so they all post one/two videos per week, but we get one every day
omg i love mrballen !!
Mr.ballen is my all time fav but I’ve watched all of his videos already . A lot of them more than once. I just found this channel & have been going through all the videos lol but I only like the story ones
So should Creepytales, Nighttime spooks, and Ripshy.
Nukes Top 5 and Lazy Masquerade are good too
Bedtime Stories is pretty good too. I didn't really like it at first but I gave it a chance and I got hooked.
On story 2, he had the ability to Google the house after but opted not to before? Would've saved time
People often forget that they can not do anything if they dead yet often prioritize object over their well being.
It's crazy to me how polite all the people in these stories are... In these situations, when asked to go into dark sketchy areas. I'd have to say, "Not no, but FUCK NO!!"
Forget the couch did you call the police on them? How many lives has that couch taken 🤣
I wonder how many people that couch has eaten. 😂
This is why every time I see photos of missing persons I have to wonder if some of them were the unlucky victims. Makes you wonder.
Unlucky or just stupid ?
For example I'll never go in the middle of nowhere at night for no matter what alone..
Yeah. Most of are. All definitely regret how they got there
this is really good like Mr nightmare keep the great work up my guy

I've never heard of Facebook marketplace but Craigslist, yes. Scary stuff, bro.
Craigslist is just usually older people. Marketplace or letgo is much nicer though since they have reviews on people
1st story is screaming made up lol, “this was before phones had flashlights on them” as the title says Facebook marketplace, which was created in 2016.
Thanks captain obvious
Douchebag
The spike strips in the last story just made the story 10x scarier...
Yeah. The husband shouldn't have gotten out of the car but turned around as soon as he saw the spikes. Someone could have been lurking in the shadows waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Bro found your page randomly today and followed immediately. Love these stories and them are definitely an eye opener about possible situations that can happen.
I pity anyone who thinks that these stories are even remotely plausible for anyone other than Darwin Award finalists.
@@TreJowy these stories are fake 100percent, many details not addin up wit reality, no evidence to back this up, no names or else
In the third story if I was supposed to meet up with someone to do a transaction and we have a designated spot to meet before hand then they try to change it to somewhere else that's a big red flag in my opinion would've just called it off no matter how good the deal was or seemed
There is a story about someone pretending to be a woman trying to lure her date into a bad area with the same trick.
I don't want to think about how often this happens and how many people didn't have the luck to realise that something is wrong in the right time and get out safe of it.. and what to this people happened.. I mean like young a men alone or even women who got into a situation like this, were there are like 6 men waiting for her in an dark place and no chance to get out of that..what ever they would do, I highly doubt they would let their victims just leave after it.. I'm really sorry for this people, in how much fear they were and what they had to go through..😣
Your growing so fast congrats
The Facebook marketplace ones remind me of the Craigslist Serial killer. Yep, freaks out there and evil ones at that!
I’m soooo thrilled I came across your channel!! Keep ‘em coming!!
Your videos are amazing man, keep it up!

You’ve only just appeared on my play list, I’m glad about that! Also you remind me of Mr Nightmare. Greetings from London UK 🇬🇧
Debbie Howe. Well the U.K. Oh well I understand.
Hi Debbie I'm from London as well
He reminds you of Mr. Nightmare because everything about his vids are stolen from Mr. Nightmare. Blatant Rip off.
How does the first story make sense??? Facebook Market place was created in 2015, they're saying this person didn't have a phone with a flashlight during 2015 and/or afterwards ? Every phone literally had a flashlight or at least the screen for light if u were still using a fliphone or something
my Facebook marketplace horror story is that i was buying something for $500, but my sister and her husband went to pick it up because they didn't think me going alone was safe because of my age, height and all that. long story short, they ended up getting scammed by $300 more than the agreed price because she wasn't paying attention when i told her it was $500. she gave them a whole $800 😭

Chilling Scares made my nightmares a whole lot better 🔥🔥😂
At the end of your story you said That Guy Never Had The Intention Of Selling You A Couch: I THOUGHT IT WAS FREE ! 🤔🤔🤔
My god... you're right! That was the scary part, i get it now! Damn bait and switch.
Lol 😂
Always meet in a public place also let a friend no where your going too!
He's talking about facebook marketplace but this happened to him "before cell phones had flash lights on them"
ok lol
Ye I was alike wtf and then I seen your comment
I was confused too😂🧐
Story 1 claims to be using the Facebook Marketplace, but at a time before phones had flashlights? Hmmm, pretty sure that doesn’t add up 🧐

Never ever do something like this alone!!!! Always, Always, Always take a friend with you and give someone the address your going to. Always arrange a code word with them and have them call you during the walk through make sure your ok! I know it sounds like over kill but just protect yourself. Take pics of the place & surroundings and send them to the person.....just in case.
Plus carry a gun. For people living in America, that should be pretty easy, unless you live in one of the Suck states, in which case carry a knife at least
I'm noticing a trend in some of these dark encounter/trap type stories. The unsuspecting victim miraculously seems to have cell service at the most clutch moments lol
You’re aware he lives in the middle of no where, why on earth would you meet him or anyone you don’t know at that time of the evening.
Channel is great. These stories are not real but theyre still great
He says you wanna come back and then you’re lucky ! That chilling. So scary ! Why do people do this :( is it a sick game they wanna just experience to hurt others or worse or harvest organs 😭
Chilling scares has nice friendly voice. I enjoy thank you
This is the only good channel I can find haha
I hope the first guy called the police after that
Omg I’ve been BINGE watching your videos!!
Omg!
Addiction...with his voice...😊
i subscribed before i even watched your video’s i had a feeling i would love your channel and that feeling was right!
If these stories are true, it's actually comforting because you realize that some people bring on their own demise by ignoring their own gift of fear.
People are absolutely stupid in these stories.
There is a book called The Gift of Fear.......
One of my family friends went to FB marketplace to buy some old car parts. He decided to be cautious and meet the guy in the parking lot at Home Depot during the middle of the day thinking it was a safe time & place to meet up. The “seller” walks up with a gun and shoots him point blank in the forehead killing him instantly then flees. Luckily tho, the man was caught and is in for life. There was no motive other than he “just wanted to kill someone”... Moral of the story- have them ship it. If u offer to pay for shipping, and they’re truly selling something there’s no reason for them to say no!!!
What state was that in, it sounds familiar…
@@Mytube777 California or Nevada. Can’t remember which

Very very scary!
Maybe I’m a skeptical type person, but I’m if I made plans to meet someone at a mall before dark, then the plans change, and keep changing to where it’s after dark and in a shady part of town, I’m high tailing it outta there! There isn’t a single thing that’s been invented, made, or for sale that would make me abandon my common sense!
Everyone's complaining that the guy should've called the cops... but from my personal experience, the most the cops do (if they even bother to show up in the first place) is drive by. Maybe stop and get out, if they're feeling adventurous, shine their flashlights around and quickly leave if no blatant lawbreaking is taking place out in the open. Police most likely will not search dark basements unless they have a warrant, or a very good reason.
And, I thought that the horror story about the couch was going to be that he ended up getting bedbugs from it!
I'm not sure if what happened was any scarier than that!
🤣
Everyone says you're same as Mr. Nightmare but honestly I find you guys way different in narration and all. You have good content. Keep up the good entertaining but at the same time eye opening work 💥
Mrballen is way better than both of them

Guy: I live right next to the Rocky Mountains
Me living right next to the Rocky Mountains: …..
Yo wow! A secret staircase hidden in a shed in the backyard?! I always wanted one of those! Sold!
For serious, as a kid I used to draw plans for a extensive and elaborate maze-like tunnel system, complete with bunkers, under our yard and the entrance was usually under the floorboards of the neighbors decrepit spooky old shed (that me and the neighbor kids also assumed was haunted). Forgot about that til just now lol, thanks 😄
Another scary story amazing
Thanks 🙏
The guy in the first story said at the front door he heard a voice that sounded like it was on the other side. He enters and the house is pitch black, then the voice is suddenly all the way downstairs in the basement.
No part of these scenario makes sense. Why would the guy leave his house dark? It’s the middle of nowhere already. How could he have been heard from the front door while down in the basement? No footsteps were heard. Why would the guy wait I. The basement instead of at the front door where he could have gotten better control of the guy? Who thinks nothing is suspicious about a brand new couch for free in the middle of nowhere that can only be picked up at night?
I don’t buy any of it.
Found your channel few hours ago and already watched almost every video . Your narration 🔥 doing a great job . Want more and more videos now 😅 even I told my bro he do sub but never liked any video but he liked pretty much every video of yours . 😬 amazing 👏
"As soon as I saw the spike strip, I started thinking something wasn't right". No shit?
My story on the FB marketplace.
So, my grandpa wanted a guitar, a new guitar. He found one very nice, but it was already used. The owner said that it was like new, so my grandpa bought it for 100€, but when the guy brought the guitar, a very scary thing happened... The guitar neck was broken 😱😱. So my grandpa didn't take the guitar and he didn't pay the guy ofc.
Very scary, right?
Did he try to hurt your grandpa when he didn't pay? If that happened then yes it would be scary.
@@nellh.9396 No, he didn't. Or at least my grandpa didn't say anything about
Was planning to get a backpack from someone on Facebook marketplace, but when we were supposed to meet up, they messaged saying they forgot they couldn't drive and asked if I could pick it up from their house. Yeah, I lied and told them I found something else. Not taking any chances.

Homeless people using the internet? 😐 🤦🏼♀️
I love watching this at 7am in the morning
i hope the first guy told the cops about the situatiom
Nothing more horrifying than the "allegedly true"
Is this mr nightmare he sounds exactly like him
I used to be in a tough bind and sold the things I found on the sidewalks from people just leaving their homes. I met a few rude people but thankfully my situation changed and I didn't have to do that. But even buying things you gotta be careful. I sold a jersey to a guy who I met at this laundromat who told me he would buy it for “10,” then when i met him in person with the jersey, he said he'd give me $10 if I go have a drink with him and $7 if I don't. I took the $7 and went home.
My aunt did Facebook marketplace years ago when cleaning out her daughter's apartment. No bad experiences. I guess it's different for everyone depending on the area you live in
Same, never had any issues but I live in a small town so that may be why.
Yeah it's almost like that story is made up so crazy...
It's simple. Always meet in daylight and in public areas. I use to sell things on Craigslist and I've bought a couple of cars on there as well. Never a bad or shady experience.
Facebook marketplace launched in 2016. Cellphones started getting flashlights in 1999.... iPhones had flashlights since 2007. You mean to tell me in 2016 you were using a Cellphone that had GPS but no flashlight?? And how did you plan on moving a whole couch by yourself?
Story 3: Your wife did warn you 🤦♀️ If it’s too good to be true, it usually is. My car was worth £5K and we bought it for £3.5K. Of course, it was involved in a crash before and the seller never said anything about it. Always review the situation and never agree to meet up at night!
This channel will tide me over between Mr. Nightmare videos. It's like there's 2 of you now...
I got my car on Facebook marketplace was it haunted?
First story is 100% b.s
Marketplace opened in 2016. 99.9% of phones had a flashlight. Why would he go alone to pick up a big item and why would he bring a car?
