      I mean HH Holmes did both, also with itinerants. And inversely it’s debated whether he should be considered a serial killer, the main argument being over whether he killed first and foremost for material gain as opposed to a primarily psychological “benefit”.

    • @Kira_Martel
      @Kira_Martel 10 місяців тому +257

      I actually see that fairly frequently on property manager/land steward gigs. Usually the property owner doesn't want to deal with young people and couples who have busy social lives and could want to bring more people to their property. Giving free rent to one person is less of a burden on them than giving it to a couple, a family, or folks who want to make that land into their new party location.

When I arrived, construction was going on in the area and it looked pretty much abandoned. Anyways, I was about to get out of my car but from the corner of my eye, I saw two guys trying to sneak up behind my car. Mind you this was a dead end area, and also saw a car peered to the side out of sight in a dark area. I hauled ass in reverse and dipped out so fast. I was about 18 and didn’t know any better, mind you it was dark outside, around 9pm. When I pulled off, I see more than 7 guys watching me as I backed out

      I've heard of this case before, and always think the same thought, which is how sad that people who just wanted a fresh start were victimized. Aside from that, I very much like the narration voice and style here. At this point I don't believe it's AI, seems too good for that as so far I have not picked up any weird pronunciations, which are a turn-off. I've run across a couple of other channels where AI pronounces addresses and so on very oddly/artificially and I immediately turn those off and don't subscribe. I just subscribed to this channel, so well done overall.

    Craigslist videos are some of the best ones. At the very least, you're getting a bird's-eye view into the mind of an exotic (read: extremely creepy) criminal attempting to harvest victims from society, and at most, you find out about some terrifying ways that people have been lured to -- or narrowly avoided -- horrible fates.

    The first ad is full of red flags that anyone should have been able to notice. 1. Why would they prefer a caretaker to be single? That has no effect on your ability to do the job, and a vast majority of people in relationships have no problem doing their jobs competently. 2. Why would the interview for a southwest Ohio farm job take place 2+ hours away in northeast Ohio? Surely if they were serious they’d want to show you around the farm you’d be working at. 3. If it’s a farm, why is it also a hunting preserve? Seems counterintuitive if you want to keep animals alive and safe (until slaughter that is…). I’m not trying to victim blame at all, but come on. We need to teach internet literacy to people so it isn’t this easy to be scammed and potentially killed.

    I sat next to the kid in algebra class that helped with the killings in the first video in ohio. He dissapeared one day shortly before that news broke, found out he got arrested

    I watched a show called American Monster or Evil Lives Here on the first story. Can't remember which show had the story. Both are great for true crime. The stories come from the family and/or victims of the murders. There's no interview, it's just them telling the stories. It feels more personal. This story was told from the muder's daughter at first then the victims families.

    Cant we all agree that the 3 best scary youtubers are: Mr Ballen, Mr Nightmare, and Chilling Scares?

    So if my father dies and he wants to be buried at the "family" tree in our garden. We are breaking the law?
    What about all the ashes that people dump, is that illegal to?

    • @metern
      @metern 10 місяців тому +1

      If illegal. How do we arrange it to be legal?

    • @bleachedout805
      @bleachedout805 10 місяців тому +4

      @@meternIf you have a private family burial site than it is legal. It likely needs to be registered.
      As to why spreading ashes is legal it is because ashes don't contain biohazard threats the same way a unprocessed body does.

    I know someone who answered a hook up ad back when they had them, and the dude was robbed at gunpoint by some girl and her boyfriend. Luckily they caught em because the girl gave him her real name. What a scary thing to happen.
