If u have the new model there are small differences that make it a bigger pain The main one is there are screws on the bottom the other is on that bracket that he takes out at the 7:10 mark there are 4 screws that make it such a pain. but the video is great thanks.
After my dryer stopped drying I was pissed off and clueless so searched YT and found your short video on the same model. It was concise and I laughed all the way through it! Your 14 minute vid changed everything. I ordered the $26.00 part from Amazon which came overnight and installed it via your great direction in a couple hours. It worked perfectly! You saved me a $300.00 or more repair that was several days out, or worse, a new dryer. Thanks! You ARE a rocket scientist!!
I haven't replaced one of these for over 10 years. Used to be pop the back off, swap the element, put the back on, and your were good to go. I would not have been able to replace the heating element without this video. Wouldn't have even occurred to me to take the front off and I doubt I would have been able to. Plus I love the swear words and Miller Lite is my favorite beer. Ill buy you a 12 pack with the money I saved. Great video
I never knew I needed this in my repair videos until now. I hope that in the future all of your items and appliances that we both have break, so that I can watch your videos on repairing them.
Single mom of 2, recently windowed. This video saved me sooo much was able to do it myself!! Can not thank you enough and I am obsessed with your cursing mario 'bleep' outs! 10 outta 10!
This video saved me ~$150-200 in repairs. Following your instructions I was able to determine the heating coil was bad, ordered a new one off Amazon for $30, and 2 days later have a working dryer. Cheers!
I took the old coils out and replaced that sock smoker with a thicker gauge salvaged steal spring. My clothes are dry in half the time now. Thanks a ton man!!
DUDE! You are THE MAN!!!! Although we have the same model, the back vent plate is not on my dryer. Also the support bracket that supports the heating coil has two screws in THE BACK instead of tabs. Those were fun putting back. Let me buy you a beer!!! Where you at?
A million thanks for a superb video. I have the same dryer model and you saved me a ton of money. Only hassle I found was that the base that supports the heating element has two screws in addition to the metal tabs. I used a short stubby philips to get them out. Thanks again.
Great video. I called for repairs, thinking I was under warranty. Turns out they wanted $350 to fix it. I got the part for $30 with shipping and had it done 6 days sooner than they could show up. Couple of things I found. The top pops up from the front with out having to undo the control housing. The wire to the door sensor pulls from plastic clips letting you remove the door further. Also, the metal tabs on the top door attachment bend up easily with a screw driver without all the banging. You made getting the vent trunk in place look too easy. That was my biggest fight. Thank you for the continuity checks. That was extremely helpful. Over all, it was a four beer for me.
Thanks so much - bought the kit, ended up using the old casing because the new one is not formed right - but we are back in business - heard a few of the same 4-letter words - used lots of bandaids - sheet metal is sharp. Your instructions were right on the money. We're back in business - thanks again.
My wife showed me this vid and said my dryer isnt working and holy crap you were right! Coil went bad and I had a part and fixed it with in 2 days with this video. Thank you for the help and the advise on the beer! Definitely necessary for this project. Only thing I would add is in mine, I had to loosen the lower 3 screws on the lower front bracket for the white front panel in oder to seperate it from the main body. Thank you for the help great vid!!!!!!!!!!
Was cruising along until I tried to take the front off - it wasn't moving at all. Didn't want to admit it was because I am a girl so I fought with it for a good 30 minutes before tipping the dryer back and noticing that i had 3 screws underneath holding on some trim on the front. So if you are fighting with the front you might check to see if you have a black trim thingy on the bottom, once you remove that you are back in business.
Great Video. Followed everything except taking off the front panel. I removed the front 3 screws and it wouldn't come off very easy. I put those back in and removed the back 3 screws and it worked GREAT. $20 for the element and we are GOOD AS NEW. Thanks!
Take a picture of the wiring before you remove the clips! I forgot and thankfully I have the exact model # so I put the wiring back just like this guy did and it worked. I got lucky. Great video! Thanks for the help
One of the best videos on UA-cam! Fixed my dryer and everything! I actually referenced the video twice because my coil failed 2 times. This dryer is a piece of shit.
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Super helpful to have the resistance test shown as well as it showed me exactly what to do. Just replaced my heater coil. Finished in less than 45 mins from start to finish. Saved me a ton of cash as opposed to calling a repair guy.
Excellent walk-through. Saved $300 and did it in two days (as had to wait for Amazon to deliver the heating coil). One thing - my dryer had the red wire connected to the top coil lead vs. the bottom per your example. Not sure if it makes a difference but kept it like I found it and dryer works like a charm. Thanks tons!!!!
Appreciate it brother. Helped me fix my dryer. Dont know why the stock coil only lasts 2 years but that's how long mine lasted too and I have the same exact dryer.
My first replacement coil only lasted a year and a half and here I am refreshing myself by watching the same dam video before I get the tool out. I'm looking for a whole new dryer in about a year from now.
Excellent video started a Saturday with a broken dryer and up fixing it and in the process had a few beer and no stress! Really appreciate it! So easy to follow! Thanks!
Thank you!!! I could have never gotten this changed without your video!! Out of all the video's to choose from, you got me with the two beer rating. A sense of humor always helps!
Sabastian! Greatest video even though I viewed several others when this problem occurred in my crappy little world. I was sure I could replace the parts but I have to admit my IGNORANCE of how to work a multimeter. I’ve never really had to use one now my brain is in overdrive! I was about to finish putting my unit back together and I heard your voice. It was very relieving! You sounded like me when I was a young airman wrestling B52 jet bombers! Every other word was a cuss! I felt young again. THANKS MAN! Sensitive eared people unnerve me for the most part. Way cool of you to really say what was bugging your world. Not your wife. I have one of those too! 😚I was immediately amused but behind my dryer in the laundry closet. It is not a room by no means😕. I finished and watched your whole video! Saving it as I speak! Now I’m 65 $#!t still breaks and we either pay too much for them to come out 4 times like my Samsung washer did. I wasn’t about to jack with that it was just two months old when it took a crap. I left that to my wife. She curses you out without saying anything vulgar. The last two repairmen decided to change everything they could think of after the first three repairmen came out they sent two people. It has been working good. Believe it or not I had a sears set that was working when she had to have this new pretty $#!t. I was mused watching her go off on the phone. LISTEN YOU HAVE A GREAT AND ABUNDANT LIFE. IT AINT EASY SOMETIMES!
Thanks for posting, solid instruction and my dryer is working. Sidebar - I had a hard time puling the plug out of the door switch and ended up stupidly opening the casing of the door switch and then messed up the terminals inside and had to buy a new door switch for $25. Make sure you pull this plug out straight and firmly.
OH MY GOD!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS INSTRUCTION VIDEO MAN!!! YERRRSS IS THE VERY BEST VIDEO THAT I'VE SEEN SO FAR REGARDING REPLACING THE HEATING ELEMENT ON MY SAMSUNG DRYER, SO I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT....SIMPLY BECAUSE IT WAS THE MOST CLEAR AND CONCISE VIDEO AVAILABLE... ANYWAYZZZ, I WAS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISHED MY MISSION AND GET IT DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME DUDE!!! SO THANK YOU!!!
Good video! I have three same dryer and I am fixing the same problem for the second time. It's been about 2yrs since it went out last time so this was a good reminder.
Same dryer, same issue....although mine is the same model number it was a little different design near the exhaust hose. It was a hole exactly the size of the hose that you had to reach in check continuity. Major pain but still doable....thanks!
Great f*** video! Saved me a ton of North Korean yan. Thanks for taking time from the f**** flooring project and Die Hard. You are the greatest man on the Internet.

Hi! Thank you so much for this video. Will the continuity readings still be accurate if the box isn’t completely removed from the machine? I was able to take all the wires off and do the test without removing the box. All three are showing continuity, but dryer is still not heating. Sigh. Wondering if I should do it again, but this time take the box out.....or if I should try looking elsewhere for the issue. Thanks again!

Dude, great post! Followed it to a T (even had a beer and a few F-Bombs) and worked like a champ. In the end, wife is happy and guess that is why we do this $h*t. Thanks again!
Trying it now. Not strong enough to loosen the top, so going to get a ball peen hammer to tap with a towel folded around it of course. This will save a fortune. Thanks for the video.
IDK if they added a few screws in later models, but mine had a few more hidden. Took a bit more effort but all in all good video, and a ton more entertaining than some tech monotone speaking each step.
Having the same problem with our Samsung dryer we bought less than 4 months ago!! DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG! Ugh, makes me so mad. Thanks for sharing, very helpful video!
Thank you so much! So easy to follow along and not boring as hell. You rock! Also, wtf, did you open yours up before hand and clean it first??? Mine had a nice thick layer of lint EVERYWHERE in there lol
Thank you for the video, It helped a lot. After I put everything back together and plugged it in, I started the dryer for a twst run and started smelling burned. Turned it off and idk if I should use it or not. I got the correct parts and everything.
i had the same smell, its more then likely due to the coil being new and the possibility of dust getting stuck to the coil during install and now burning off. not saying that its 100% this, but likely.
grt vid. did it quit heating after 30 min? seems to be a major mystery issue after replacing parts with most dyi peeps online lately. this time i have a case of Becks cold ones, maybe that is the problem.
I followed all of this! Great video, but my dryer still isn't heating, what do u think could be wrong? I changed the entire heating element, i cleaned the lint trap, and pulled off the back to check for lint too...
Dude, I loved your video, helped out a ton. Only thing is, my continuity test said everything was as it should be. Yet it still doesn't heat up whatsoever. Any advice??
dude i loved your video first it made me laugh but I changed my heating element out with your directions and it worked!!!! So tell your wife she can do it next time lol!!!!!
I’m using this video to repair my dryer, it’s working perfectly! I really appreciate you doing this! I do have a question tho, how in the hell is your dryer so clean? Mine is literally full of lint!
Thank you so much for this hilarious video. I thought my husband was going to do the dryer but I ended up taking this on. From start to finish, your video got me through it. Not sure if you will see this but did your stink the first time you fired it up?
Since I bought these SAMSUNG Shtts washer and dryer. I have never had so many problems. Once in a while something brakes... NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG or you will regret for the rest of their lives AND YOURS. Truly pieces of shttts. I am in the middle of opening the door. Have to wait tree days now for the pieces... Miss my 20 y.o. KENMORE... never ever had a problem in over 20 years and decided to buy these "fancy" machines and that is what I got.. Thank you for the video!!! I would give you a thousand likes if possible!!!
We have the same model dryer, but mine was much more complicated to take apart and put back together. I did find your video (along with another UA-cam video) helpful though!
On my DV45H7000EW/A2 I keep getting the HE error. I swapped the whole heating element and all the sensors and it's still doing it. Any idea of where to go next with it?
Great Vid One of the Easiest repairs I have ever done BUT After ordering Samsung Dryer Heating Element DC47-00019A (~20$) I stretched the broken coil a little bit so the break in the coil wires were over lapped. With a metal wire crimp I slid the crimp on the over lapped broken coil wires and crushed the crimp with a pair of vice grips. Big Big Problems. Installed my repaired heater and now I’m running a repaired Samsung dryer and have a new Heating Element DC47-00019A (~20$) sitting on the shelf. IMO this Heating Element repair will outlast my Samsung dryer and I will never will use that new Heating Element DC47-00019A (~20$) part. Very Very Sad.
Thanks bud, exact same issue with my dryer. Once I popped her open and saw how simple a machine the dryer is I was like "No way am I paying someone to fix this, I can DIY this sumbitch".
FYI: Samsung Dryer DV40J3000EW/A2 HEATING ELEMENT HOUSING BRACKET HAS SCREWS IN THE BACK (NO MORE TABS) AND THE HEATING ELEMENT HOUSING HAS 1 ADDED SCREW ON TOP SECURING IT TO THE HOUSING TO THE BRACKET.
Adolfo Ruiz exactly. I was struggling so hard couldn’t figure out why the fuck it was coming out. Had to bend the metal to fit gun in there. And my wires don’t just come right out like his
Great vid, but you took the door off in a way that did not work for me, I had to take the screws off behind the ones you wanted and then I lifted the door off the 3 hooks on the bottom. thanks! Oh ya, and I had screws on the damn bracket holding the heating elements, I just took off the one with a little metal bending, and just bent the bracket SOB down out of the way because no way would I get that rear screw back on. 1 beer job.
If u have the new model there are small differences that make it a bigger pain
The main one is there are screws on the bottom the other is on that bracket that he takes out at the 7:10 mark there are 4 screws that make it such a pain. but the video is great thanks.
that's the case for DV45H7200EW, yeah, it's the major pain comparing to the rest. thanks for the great video!

Can't thank you enough bro. This vid helped me fix my dryer in 2 days, and my dryer was only 3 years old too. Thanks a ton!
Spent less than $30 bucks and fixed the dryer with this video! Thnx bro 🍻
Awesome Video! My wife and I repaired our dryer in under 2 hours. Thank You!
The best video I have found to DIY anything. Good **** man!
Good video! I have three same dryer and I am fixing the same problem for the second time. It's been about 2yrs since it went out last time so this was a good reminder.
Finally a DYI video that gets to the fucking point!!! Plus comedy relief! Thanks Bro!
Cheers sir! Just followed this for my dryer, great job! Beer is on me.
Same dryer, same issue....although mine is the same model number it was a little different design near the exhaust hose. It was a hole exactly the size of the hose that you had to reach in check continuity. Major pain but still doable....thanks!
Thanks! Spent Aprox $30 on Amazon and fixed the dryer with this video
Thanks again, this will be my 4th time changing out the effing coil. I should really just buy a new dryer.
Great f*** video! Saved me a ton of North Korean yan. Thanks for taking time from the f**** flooring project and Die Hard. You are the greatest man on the Internet.
Freakin loved the video! Gives me more confidence when I go home today after work. And, after getting an effing crown done on my tooth, to tackle just another chore in the secret life of being a homeowner... thx!
Looky there! Got the crown done in 38 mins. and the heating element was bad and out and ordered in 25 minutes! Thanks brother... i had the same number so thx for the link as well! You Rock.. next beer is in me!
Just got finished fixing this Mother, thanks allot great video, saved me a ton of money!

Laura B yea. You dont have to remove it to check. Cheers!
Thank you so much bro!! I’m not a handy guy at all but you broke this down so good and helped a brother out.
Thank you so much just had to replace the heating element on mine and I have to say your video was the most helpful and the funniest
Randy Smith cheers to that!
Yeah this always happens at a convenient time.
I'll just run up to the parts store right now. Oh wait it's Christmas eve.
OK I'll just get up there first thing in the morning. I'm sure they are open on Christmas day.
2 exceptional tips. Have beer handy & take picture of wiring.
My tip is watch the first 45 seconds when you need a laugh.
Thanks
Paul Foytack Merry Christmas man! Enjoy a beer and get at it next week!!
@@SebastianBalos Got it out today and the coil is busted. Ordered all 3 parts off of your Amazon link.
Thanks again!
Agree with all positive comments. The problem was exactly the same and was able to fix it for $16. Thank you!
Best repair video ever ! Seriously, after I stopped laughing, it was very informative. Just what I needed to know to fix mine.
You just saved me some $$!! Thanks for this video. It really guided me step by step to change out my bad heating coil. Excellent video!! 👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you so much. You saved us a lot of money. We have the exact same dryer as you! I just got it working.

Great job with this walk thru. It was perfect, and just what I needed. Thank you so much sir:
Cheers!
IDK if they added a few screws in later models, but mine had a few more hidden. Took a bit more effort but all in all good video, and a ton more entertaining than some tech monotone speaking each step.
Yeah definitely. Like getting the door off, the coil bracket, etc. currently doing mine now & im like um, did someone do this just to not get to it 😅
Just double checking that you should get continuity on the two thermostats while the dryer is off. If so I think one of my thermostats are bad
you should have continuity on everything. It does not seem to be as common but you could have a bad thermostat.
@@SebastianBalos yeah from first tested to last tested i was Open lead, 0.9 and 9.2
I laughed my ass off from this video and it was a perfect walkthrough to fix my dryer
Having the same problem with our Samsung dryer we bought less than 4 months ago!! DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG! Ugh, makes me so mad. Thanks for sharing, very helpful video!
Thank you so much did every think you told me. Part is ordered going in tonight.
Just saved me from calling a repair man! Thanks!
Thank you so much! So easy to follow along and not boring as hell. You rock! Also, wtf, did you open yours up before hand and clean it first??? Mine had a nice thick layer of lint EVERYWHERE in there lol
Well done. Bonus, you gave me the idea to reconnect the dryer duct to the wall last. Thanks
@@SebastianBalos yes running my drier as we speak, all is well. Thanks a million 👏

NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG or you will regret for the rest of their lives AND YOURS. Truly pieces of shttts. I am in the middle of opening the door. Have to wait tree days now for the pieces... I would give you a thousand likes if possible!!!
Great video!! I'm gonna have to watch it in reverse to make sure I put the right screws back in. Haha

EXACT same issue! Me and my wife call this the potty mouth video. You save me tons of mula. Thanks.
My bracket had screws where those tabs where. Let a little blood trying to figure out how the tabs let loose before I had a look with a mirror....
F***ing awesome. Thank you!!
We have the same model dryer, but mine was much more complicated to take apart and put back together. I did find your video (along with another UA-cam video) helpful though!
Thank you sir. You saved me money and i learned how to do it. Very appreciated!
I fixed mine, thanks brother, badass video
Best damn video ever and save me tons of money
On my DV45H7000EW/A2 I keep getting the HE error. I swapped the whole heating element and all the sensors and it's still doing it. Any idea of where to go next with it?
Awesome. Followed step by step... best one out there. Thanks, man.
This video helped me part was $20 on amazon
Great Vid One of the
Easiest repairs I have ever done
BUT
After ordering Samsung Dryer Heating Element DC47-00019A (~20$)
I stretched the broken coil a little bit so the break in the coil wires were
over lapped. With a metal wire crimp I slid the crimp on the over lapped broken
coil wires and crushed the crimp with a pair of vice grips.
Big Big Problems.
Installed my repaired heater and now I’m running a repaired Samsung dryer and have
a new Heating Element DC47-00019A (~20$) sitting on the shelf.
IMO this Heating Element repair will outlast my Samsung dryer and I will never
will use that new Heating Element DC47-00019A (~20$) part.
Very Very Sad.
You talk exactly like I do. Thanks for this.
Thanks bud, exact same issue with my dryer. Once I popped her open and saw how simple a machine the dryer is I was like "No way am I paying someone to fix this, I can DIY this sumbitch".
Bruh thanks so much. This save my money and my rage.
And my wires don’t just come right out like his
good video, easy to follow. saved me $150
Great vid, but you took the door off in a way that did not work for me, I had to take the screws off behind the ones you wanted and then I lifted the door off the 3 hooks on the bottom. thanks! Oh ya, and I had screws on the damn bracket holding the heating elements, I just took off the one with a little metal bending, and just bent the bracket SOB down out of the way because no way would I get that rear screw back on. 1 beer job.
Good video, but what the hell caused the element to burn so quick? I watched this but have yet to tear into mine
