Parks needs a coach that can take her to new heights. She is super talented however it’s a big mental issue with her as well. She needs to refine her game. Her shots even when she gets the point are questionable shots. She’s got the power and the serve but her placement with shots behind the baseline are super head scratchers. She’s got to learn to be humble and take criticism.

I’d be shocked if Ons ever gets back to the top ten or wins a Slam at this point. She seems to have a lot of off court commitments now and at her age (30) it’s just getting harder against the younger competition.
Even though I don’t think this super talented player should have made this list, maybe the biggest question heading into next season is if Karolina Muchova can finally win her first WTA title since 2019. ( and that was a 250).

I don’t see it for Parks. The talent is there. Great serve. I sense she’s very hard headed player who wants to do things her way as opposed to listening to coach. Sacha Bajin alluded to fact she’s not coachable & I’m not surprised by that revelation as there’s this attitude about her that I can’t put my fingers on

I agree, Alicia Parks shot selections at times are just baffling! She seems gassed a lot of times during her matches as well, she may just be relying on her talent and not putting in the work off the court, she would do better getting a coach other than her dad.

I feel Alicia is frankly not humble. That is why her and the coach she hired did not get along. When she realizes that she will improve by getting a good coach and letting them help her, she will improve. If she doesn't do that, then all the weapons in the world will not help get her to the top 10 or a grand slam. It is so painful watching her play sometimes. Talk is cheap, especially if you are haughty. 🙄 I am so sad for Ons. I don't think she will get a slam either. Her heart is not in it, and the field is deeper than ever now, and growing 😢

Alycia with proper coaching could be dominant, but she needs a plan B. I think some of the big match losses where she made a ton of errors and lost one-sided hurt her mentally. She may play like her idol -the difference being Serena would find a way with angles and fight when her power was not working…but top coaches are very expensive to obtain; hope she finds it again because she is a special talent but she needs to learn not to go 100 percent on every ball, she has the strength and athleticism to be great, but not quite the rally tolerance yet….at least on a consistent basis.

Alycia Parks needs some discipline, mental focus and a good coach to advance her career. Watching her play is frustrating because it’s always messy with errors after every other point. She may also have gotten an overinflated opinion of herself after 2023. As for Wozniaki, Jabeur and Sloan Stephens, I think they’re best days are behind them and not expecting much of them next year. Caroline Garcia may have also seen her best days already, but you never know. Concerning Sakari, I was one of those that wondered why she was in the top ten for so long lol. Sakari has no weapons to hurt anyone and with younger more talented players emerging, it’s going to be tough for her.

It’s something mental with Sloane and I believe it started when she lost the French open in 2018 to Simona Halep. She was up a set in that match. I feel her confidence just was killed from that point on. She needs to find the passion in tennis again and trust her skills.

this feels so unfair for sakkari i feel like no one actually pays attention to her results and dogpiles on the worst aspects, this year she had a new coach in 6 years, immediately made the final in iw beating shnaider, navarro, gauff and garcia, only losing to swiatek, quarters in miami the next week only losing to rybakina, semis in charletston the week after that beating vekic, only losing to collins. she was right up there showing amazing form beating some of the seasons golden girls, she even beat her slam curse by getting to the second week in wimbledon and did good at the olympics too, her shoulder killed the rest of the season but if someone with sakkaris fitness can barely finish half the season maybe the calender is too damn much. i feel like 24 was a GREAT year for sakkari she finally figured alot of things out but couldnt play for half the year which had all her 23 points. by the criteria in the video rybakina deserves to be number 1 here she won a 500 or 2 and then accomplished nothing for the rest of the year but its way easier to hate on sakkari cause shes a meme at this point sad

Imo you can't disappoint when you're not making people think you're going to do something big. I'm disappointed about Pegula post-USO, for example, she deserved the expectations she got, but threw them through the window in a hurry, then disappointed, people can be disappointed about Iga's Olympics on clay, because the least optimistic person thought she would take golden easily and she couldn't even get the silver.

I'm particular Wozniaki was a little cocky on tennis channel when interviewed during svitolina's Wimbledon run. Caroline found out this season that you can't half ass it and is now making excuses.
Linda is over hyped and her sister Brenda is better. She's not even to be considered a peer or same large as shnaider or mirra - both who's first full season in pros is 2024 and both on top 30 and play way more consistently. Linda is just another possible up and coming Czech talent. There are so many of them but she's already passed by Linda noskova

Maria and Jab starts good, after they disappeared after Wimbledon, Wta is more hardest to understand than atp, there are a lot of upside and downs, but never upon the top 4 or 5 in the ranking. But just image to Emma, she's surely not so worst like the ranking tell. And how Italian, at 28 years Paolini was propably the greatest surprise ever from the times of Pennetta lool. Anyway I think that if Osaka could have been able to conclude that match against Iga in France , well thinghs could have been becomed different for her. Coco save her season in the end, but Rybakina, my fav, have got the more delusional season for me. Offcourse Aryna and Iga are clearly on top.

She doesn’t feel comfortable putting away the sets that she’s ahead and to win the match. She just can’t do it and I think it’s all stems from when Andy Murray said that she would be number one in the world and I put too much pressure on her as a 17 inch she never was able to recoup. Had he not said that she may have been, I think that she should sue Andy for intentional inflation of emotional distress

You know your stuff. You rattle off like an experienced network news anchor... Sloane Stephens has always been a major head case with attitude issues. She would do good at majors especially when she won the US Open; but would always follow up with poor performances. Alicia's attitude issues are even more severe. Like Sloane, she's going to do it her way and fight with her coache(s). Both of them have shot their wad, they ain't going nowhere. Sakkari has lost her edge. I had her up there with Sabalenka. Not anymore, her run is done. Ons is off. I think she is satisfied with what she has accomplished. I don't think she has the guts to do the training. Caroline; should have continued sitting around and consuming fine wine. It's just not there. Walk away, and live to enjoy another day. Garcia? I'm not sure about her career? It's a crap shoot. The other four; time for them to get off the floor and hit the door...

You are trying to avoid saying what is obvious about PARKS. She is just too LAZY! She does NOT WANT TO WORK and is comfortable getting what she can, but loosing out of so much, if she could STOP BEEN SO LAZY. She has all the tools, to be a 10 player, or even better. BUT, this generational LAZINESS is engraved "between her ears", BUT, she can rid it, if she wants to, its all between the ears. SLOAN STEPHENS is another one, she got lucky and made some money, dont know if this PARKS will get that lucky, but she is young and still have time. We will see. I wished she and COCO will hang out, and hopefully allow COCO to help out of her LAZINESS. Because COCO is a work horse, and GREAT MODEL for the GENERATION. Her parents should be applauded. Yes. They have done a wonderful job. COCO will get another major champion again for sure. And she and PARKS MAY END up playing each other for one of the major, if PARKS change her mind set. Oh, what a day that would be!
