I feel really gutted for Medvedev. He’s part of that generation who are sort of caught between Rafa and Novak and now Alcaraz and Sinner. I really want him to win another Slam but that seems unlikely right now. Different to believe he didn’t win one title this year.
Medvedev probably has the best shot to turn it around. Assuming he still has that mindset of figuring things out, which he generally does. Everything I've seen and heard about him suggests that he doesn't really stay down for long.
I think Medi is done. He's peaked and can't hang with the best anymore. But that's okay he's still top 10 and can go deep but not enough to win the big ones. But one more Grand Slam is possible if Sinner or Carlos slips.
I think Rune was really dissapointing. He has great potential, but he just fails when compared to his peers. Props to him for getting that Six Kings Slam check though 😂
How can the 3rd highest under 24 years old be disappointing? He's still young. This is a much better scenario than Meddy or Stef, who don't have the age factor on their side.
I just don't think Rune is in the same category of talent as the 6 King players. Honestly don't think he has any more to give. He's peaked and this is it. That's not a bad thing though as you can still make a good living in top 10.
Chris Eubanks you can say you made it into the top 100, many don't. Broadcasting is your strong suit, pursue it unless hiring you has politics involved. You do a great job on the desk, better than most.
The fall in rankings due to injury is largely out control of most players. However, the fall can also be due to fundamental lack of tennis sense (uncorrected by self-knowledge or coaches). Best example today is Rune who inexplicably can choose mediocre shots - even from a position of advantage. I can understand wanting to hit spectacular winners (we all do), but lack of judgement is a serious fault. I suppose this was what Courier was saying, but Rune can’t link a coherent series of shots even against an inferior player (at least in 202).
Agree, specially with His fh, it looks like he has an identity crisis as a player, imo he Should be More agressive cause from both wings he can rip fast and powerful shots, he can serve really well and volley, most of His qualities aré orientes to be am agressive player instead of playing tentative and long rallies that he doesn't look that comfortable
@@diegosotomiranda4107 does seem mental. His merry go round of coaches is troubling (he hardly seemed to give Becker a chance). Puzzling to see him rely on his back court game when some of his most surprising shots are at net or touch half volleys. Maybe better when he doesn’t overthink.
I remember when everyone said that Rune was much better than Jannik in terms of victories and titles and that he and Alcaraz would be the leaders of this new generation. It's amazing how things can change in such a short time.
Fokina Davidovich is the biggest choker on the men’s tour. I hope you talk about that. He’s choked so badly that on matchpoint at Wimbledon he tried to underhand serve. I mean anyone who is drop shotting on a really important point is choking.
I was considering including him here for sure but the Monte Carlo title boosted his seaosn, plus it wasn't too far off from his 2023 as far as W/L record.
Oh my God, I love you Fernando Verdasco, even though incredibly gorgeous was the biggest choker in Cincinnati against Nadal Nadal I guess felt bad for him and was literally giving him the match and Frasco, who would not take it. It be cold to do a deep dive on the worst chokers in history, Thomas Burdick was beat would be on the list as well
Eubanks looks good in a suit that’s his calling. Not fair on Adrian he’s at the end of his career. Rune is mentally unstable but very talented I wanted him to be big 3.
I could understand others but Eubanks, come on guy 😅 what you could expect from him, honestly? He's just an ordinary one, propably always will be so. Even Sonego have got a better career 🇮🇹. Medvedev it's in physical and mental decline from the last year, but Rune was only a problem of all the coaches that he have got, surely he will become a stable top 10 in next year's, like Shelton, Musetti and Mensik.
@diegosotomiranda4107 Today black guys, only Francis, but with an a clear and humble mind, that he don't have... could be a top 10, but Eubanks.. Come on, expecially on grass, its quite embarrassing to see, I've noted his quarterfinal at Halle against Zhang, when he have losed a game already win . There are guys more behind in the ranking, like Kokkinakis or O'Connel that are much more complete on every surface.
Jarry definitely could've made the list too. Unfortunately his season declined after reaching the Rome final, partly due to struggles with vestibular neuritis, a condition affecting balance. I'm intrigued to see if he'll remain inside the top 50 by this time next year.
It makes me so sad to see Coric here. He is one of my favourites but god does it sometimes feel like he has no fighting spirit. At least he is really good looking
Call me crazy but i think n feel like even zverev could be here despite him having results : him losing 4 times in a row to a lower ranked player who he has more experience and achievements than is a bit of a sign that ge does not have the belief he had in 2021 for exemple
Christian you are so messy with this list, esp Hulger Rune 😂😂 i love it though. I think he’s overrated, actually…but he is top of the tour in one area: 🍑🍑
Agree with Jarry but not with Korda and Foe. Korda won the DC title and was building good momentum before that injury ended his year. I think Tiafoe would’ve made the list if he didn’t turn things around with the great NA swing (Finals in Cincinnati and Semis at the US open)
you're right about Jarry for sure but like @Sports4life8988 said, Korda had a solid season before that injury and Tiafoe salvaged his season with that NA summer run
This is like your 3rd comment now. We get it. You don’t like his speaking style. Just leave. The rest of us enjoy him and his commentary. He is far from robotic. This is tennis, we don’t need screaming and nonsense.
Nice vid. You should do 10 players who improved next
that’s coming next!
@@AnthonyGaming69420 I was thinking the very same thing while watching the end of the video, then I heard him say that was up next! Wow 😮
Well we know who that is. This season Sinner went supernova. But credit to Taylor Fritz who massively improved.
Chris is an A+ commentator. Rooting for him to slot into the 50-75 range.
Yeah, he's excellent on the mic.
Stef also slumped a lot this year, apart that clay double success there is nothing else to remember. he said "this year I am nothing"
If he doesn't improve his serve, then there's no hope of him beating Carlos or Sinner. Hell, the other youngsters might give him trouble soon.
@malekat8539 I'm not sure what he has to work on for his serve. More pace? Better second serve? Is that it?
I think Medi is done. He's peaked and can't hang with the best anymore. But that's okay he's still top 10 and can go deep but not enough to win the big ones. But one more Grand Slam is possible if Sinner or Carlos slips.

Rune should hire Brad Gilbert as a coach.... His choices of play option during a match lacked consistency too much this year.
They really didn’t think to call Zverev for that?
How can the 3rd highest under 24 years old be disappointing? He's still young. This is a much better scenario than Meddy or Stef, who don't have the age factor on their side.

Just saying karatsev outside the top 300 is very demoralizing for all the others outside 300.
@@kingoftennis94 what's all the hype around Karatsev about?
Most Russians clean their nose into a towel.
Rune really needs to separate from his mother. Either he's immature or can't play the chess of tennis even if his legs are, in a word, spectacular.
Since Nadal is gone, Rune has the best legs in the ATP, Borna Coric is 2nd. Strong
Definitely. Amazing legs😊
Bro you included some GREAT picks in here. Loved to hear updates on some of these guys 👍🏻
Daniil already has another voice in his box, namely Gilles Simon.
I wouldn't add Medvedev to this list, I just wouldn't 🤔
He isn't that motivated anymore. See him retiring in 2 or 3 years
yeah 2024 medvedev was bad but not that bad
Chris Eubanks you can say you made it into the top 100, many don't. Broadcasting is your strong suit, pursue it unless hiring you has politics involved. You do a great job on the desk, better than most.
Rune will have a good 2025. I think Tsitsipas will tumble down the rankings next year.
Bonjour de France ! As a huge fan of tennis, I really like your channel, great content and also great pronunciation of the names 😅 ! Merci !
Eubanks has an amazing tennis mind; no matter where his ranking is. As long as he is close to the sport, we will all benefit.

Hey there! Fun video I like the concept, however WHERE WAS TITSIPAS?? Dude had a dumpster fire of a season gotta be on here

Holger's forehand was flat and powerful and then he changed it to a weak spinny shot for some reason. He gets punished a lot for short balls

Eubanks looks good in a suit that’s his calling. Not fair on Adrian he’s at the end of his career. Rune is mentally unstable but very talented I wanted him to be big 3.
The Rune decline is the most shocking, imo. He was tauted as the next new thing, and he openly stated he wanted to be the third in the new Big 3.

100% correct take on Medvedev
Nice research.
Chris was never that good to start with. He got lucky on his Wimbledon run. He probably doesn’t want to listen to his coach or his coach sucks too.
FYI: the horizontal racket behind you is slightly askew. 😮😊

Daniil already got a second coach with Giles Simon, maybe he needs a 3rd Giles to join the team in 2025
