    It is well known (and easy to prove) that n-digit numbers of the form 66...67 lead to number of the form 44...488..9 n 4's, n-1 8's and one 9. So the answer to the problem is 66667. Similarly, 333...4 squared has the form 1111...55556.

    Sqrt[4444488889]=66667 and not -66667 because of principle root.
