I have a 1992 FLD120 im planning on taking it in the shop and stripping it down, painting the frame and slowly put it back together so I can run it, if that classic was a flattop i would buy it awesome truck
I can't agree with you more, if the interior is not taken care of, nor do I believe that the entire truck was taken care of, nice boots, I need a good pair! Maybe I will buy myself some?
Every dealer has good and bad trucks, always know that the dealer doesn’t know everything about the truck, they might not properly price the truck, you need to have someone who knows the truck and evaluate the truck, so you can properly negotiate the price.
Ryan nice to see inspection truck used. If possible for sure, give us the value truck and forecast cost to repair this truck. It would be very useful for us. Tkssss
Quick? , I changed my whisper switch on a 2018 Freightliner cascade 125, because when I would try to turn off they would not turn off, until I had to keep turning switch off and on to get it to lay were there supposed to be , so after changing it out it worked all week and then yesterday it started doing the same thing. Would this be the wiper motor going bad
Ryan, I’m a trucker. I’ve watched your videos pretty often. I live in Texas, I’m interested in becoming a mechanic. Think you’ve talked about this before but help me out. Would I be better in the long run going to a community college to get my certifications or just go work at a shop in the area??? I’m a trucker and enjoy driving but I have children and a wife and being gone all the time really is brutal on the family dynamic. Can you help me out man?? Thanks for your input
Totally understand your situation. I was in the same situation before! I would suggest you to get the basic knowledge of mechanic. It doesn’t matter where you get it. It is the foundation. It is best for the long run.
Thank you so much, been trying to do my due diligence and research where I can go to learn the basics because I feel as a trucker thats knowledge you need to know out here

I'd be willing to bet that judging by how big of a piece of shit this thing is, and the fact that it's a long hood, lined up next to other longhoods, it would not surprise me if this WAS Ohio Truck Sales. They buy these scrapyard shitboxes with 1.3 million mile engines with no rebuild, for 10-20k, paint them, and turn around and try and say "sorry we can't go any lower than $76,000 for this truck. Look at how clean it is" 🤣
Ohio truck sales have mostly over priced polished crap. They do on occasion have decent trucks. You can tell by the truck and price difference of two or more of the same trucks. Lol you would be better off buying an auction truck cheap and just redoing the entire thing
That is not true at all , the in side of my truck is subpar 80% of the truck mechanically is new , the interior isn't what makes me money it's the reliability of the machine is what counts , so you are wrong on this point Buddy 🤷🏿♂️an owner operator 1# a person shouldn't buy an old used truck from a dealership or some type of dealer, the history on truck is pretty much lost 9x out of ten the dealer got the truck from auction and trying to make a profit on It , a person should always consider buying a truck from another O/O that way you can meet the person and talk to em and get a good feel of situation and your ableto ask questions directly about the truck .
Your channel is like a one stop shop for owner ops great content
I drive a 97 FLD 60 series detroit its a awesome truck
Thanks for sharing
I agree Ryan, the inside tells a good story about the truck!
👍
Man I was just on there website looking at this truck. Thank God I decide to come look up Detroit 60 series engines, and found your channel.
I just called about that truck today. I’m glad I’m subscribed to your channel. Thanks Ryan!!
Are you interested in getting it?
I was. I’m from Georgia and I was going off the salesman words. I’m looking for a truck for intermodal work in savanah
I see, good luck 👍

Paint it all high gloss white underneath!!! Easy to see😂
Very useful content
You are spot on my friend!!!
I can't agree with you more, if the interior is not taken care of, nor do I believe that the entire truck was taken care of, nice boots, I need a good pair! Maybe I will buy myself some?
👍
I suspect this is the same dealer as the previous inspection video you posted with some sketchy stuff. They never disappoint.

Do u recommend a Blackstone lab por oil samples?
Ryan nice to see inspection truck used.
If possible for sure, give us the value truck and forecast cost to repair this truck. It would be very useful for us.

How much do you charge to come look over a truck for someone?
Why does the engine of heavy trucks (Cascadia) periodically puff or knock? What is the problem? Or where to start looking for it?
Is that 14L 2006 a good motor
Great info 👍
Thank you!
We need more on how to inspect one of those 60 series engines what to look for details brother
😂😂your background music 😂😂😂 really?
Where is this? I see that big Sleeper truck in back ground
Ryan, we're can you send in oil and coolant samples and what are you looking for?
Do you do DOT inspections on the trucks?
Yes I do
Awesome

Hi,there first thanks for sharing your knowledge for free, my question is how often coolant be changed by miles or age?
Get a cheap coolant tester with the floating balls and it will tell you how good your coolant is.
What and who sings this song?
Im in the market for this model
Scary…
Just knowing the shocks are rusting lets me know everything i need to know and the owner of this truck ran it into the ground with no maintenance
Yup! Is that another Ohio truck sales candidate?
And just to think they want 51,999 for that truck
Shut the front door. 51 grand... 😳
@@reggaeriderr 😃😃
And they he means. Ohio truck sales
That truck is rough!
It is!
Hey ryan did you by any chance go to hope academy schools when younger?
No, I went to school in southeast Indiana
I’d pay no more than $14,500 for that truck. Knowing that it’s from a dealer they probably wanting $55,000+ for it.
the rear air bags were not square

Thank you sir!!
Surprised a dealer would even buy let alone sell a piece of crap like that. Buyer beware
Ohio truck sales for sure. Bet they claim it has a rebuild on the motor too lol
"Fresh rebuild! No paperwork"
Who would even try to sell a truck like that in that condition? People that owned it last should be f@cking ashamed of themselves.
Great info here but the music has to go
Thank you for watching.
