- Larry’s van has let him down ! Let’s take a look and see if we can get this thing squared away for him. He’s preparing to sell it soon and is worried no one is going to buy it with that pesky check engine light on. Well, we can tackle that for him today and put his mind at ease. I think you're right about the airbag light it's probably the sensor in the bumpers not plugged in or is loose
For a Caravan that clean, man you’ll have no issues selling it. Those things are dependable for being a product of Chrysler. Just keep an eye on the transmission.
That whistling noise is the supercharger spinning up. The twin turbos kick in around 5,000 rpms. These vans were rare Chrysler experimental vehicles market tested in the southern US aimed at soccer moms running late to get the kids to school. Project cancelled as van was poor handling in spite of good braking system, for being top heavy and pushed in the turns causing heavy front tire wear.

My wife's old Sebring 2.7 I had to replace the egr 3 times. It's such a fun job. Had 266k miles before we sent it to the scrap yard. Engine was letting go and so much rot
This as far as I can tell was the original EGR valve. lets hope the replacement lasts just as long !
My girl has a 2006 and i got the same codes expected to change the valve out soon thanks for the video. And to say hers only has 86,000 miles preety impressive

Yeah it will pass inspection with air bag light on cause family member of mine has a air bag light on and they pass it . 03 kia Sedona van cause worst case is it just won't pop out of or when u wreck .

Plug all the seat belts in that might help. If not sounds like switch on bumper not pluged back in after paint. All the best from uk
Digital screens flash on camera cause the shutter speed of the camera is lower than the human eye so it's missing some of those frames where the screen is on. Same thing where wheels seem to be spinning backwards on camera.

Sounds like one of your passenger side turn signal bulbs is out when they blink rapidly means one of them's out usually

In N.Y. air bag is not considered standard safety features so will pass inspection. And also for,ABS light which is an optional safety feature.
I had a 96 Plymouth Grand voyager with the 3.3v6 and it was a good van but I wouldn't buy another one.
I always heard you could just blank the EGR valve then bolt it off to the side over the blanking plate so that its just hanging out in the air but still plugged in. That way the car doesnt know its blanked

only light that cannot be on is the check engine light if your in the state of
GA this will apply I do not know if this will apply for any other state.
Airbag light does not affect NC inspection.
Glad the Mercedes hasn't been scrapped.
i have a 2010 dodge journey that the airbag light was on and i had it fixed it was the clock spring in the steering wheel that needed to be replaced
the code tells you what is being affected by what's wrong. It does not tell you what part to replace.
It gives a target to aim the parts cannon.

I really feel like I"m missing something here. It's a 15 year old Caravan with 171k on the clock...and he had the top end of the engine rebuilt plus a new paint job? Why? What's book on that, maybe $3K?
